Jelly Roll Sits In First (And Last) Place On The Same Billboard Chart

Jelly Roll returns to No. 1 on Billboard's Rock Digital Song Sales chart with "Hard Fought ... More Hallelujah" as "Liars" reenters at No. 15, bookending the tally. SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - AUGUST 31: Jelly Roll performs onstage during the Beautifully Broken Tour at Climate Pledge Arena on August 31, 2024 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo byfor Jelly Roll) Jelly Roll launched his music career as a hip-hop musician, but it wasn't until he changed things up and began delivering music that was sometimes categorized as country and, in other instances, labeled as rock, that he found great commercial success in the United States. For several years now, the Grammy nominee has straddled the line between those two genres, while continuing to experiment, earning additional wins on some of Billboard's hip-hop and pop-focused rankings. This week, Jelly shows once again that he's a force to be reckoned with in the rock genre, as he bookends one of Billboard's rock-focused rankings, scoring both the biggest hit and the lowest-ranking tune at the same time. "Hard Fought Hallelujah" Returns to No. 1 Jelly returns to No. 1 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart as "Hard Fought Hallelujah," his collaboration with Brandon Lake, jumps back to the top space. The two musicians sat down at No. 5 last frame, but thanks to an almost 29% uptick in pure purchases, "Hard Fought Hallelujah" rockets to the summit once more. The tune, which Billboard classifies as both rock and Christian in terms of genre, has now led the Rock Digital Song Sales tally for 18 nonconsecutive weeks. Jelly Roll Occupies the Bottom Spot Too Jelly fills a pair of spaces on the 15-title ranking, as his own "Liars" reappears. This week, the track breaks back in at No. 15 — the lowest position possible — as it celebrates 44 weeks on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart. Two of Five No. 1s "Liars" and "Hard Fought Hallelujah" are two of Jelly's five No. 1s on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart. He first ruled in October 2022 with "Son of a Sinner." The following year, he scored a 14-week champion with "Need a Favor." In August 2024, just months before both "Liars" and "Hard Fought Hallelujah" soared to the summit, Jelly Roll joined MGK (formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly) at No. 1 with "Lonely Road," which debuted in first place. Throughout his career, 17 tunes crediting Jelly have landed somewhere on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart, and 14 of them have cracked the top 10.

J-Hope Ties His BTS Bandmates Suga And Jin With A New No. 1

J-Hope's 'Killin' It Girl' with GloRilla debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart, ... More marking his third solo leader, the third-most among K-pop soloists. (Photo by Stephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images) J-Hope's 2025 has been huge when it comes to scoring solo smashes. The BTS rapper has delivered multiple hits throughout the year, and all of them have become strong sellers in the United States, with three climbing especially high. This week, J-Hope returns to the summit on the Digital Song Sales chart, and as he does, he breaks out of a tie with one of his bandmates and matches several others for a historic showing. 'Killin' It Girl' Debuts at No. 1 J-Hope's new single with rapper GloRilla, 'Killin' It Girl,' debuts at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. The tune arrives with 18,350 pure purchases (according to Luminate), making it the only track to sell more than 10,000 copies in America this past frame, easily enough for it to lead the tally. J-Hope's Third Solo No. 1 'Killin' It Girl' marks J-Hope's third No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, and all three of those champions have arrived in 2025. Both 'Sweet Dreams,' a collaboration with Miguel, and 'Mona Lisa' also reached the top spot in just the past few months. So far, J-Hope has collected 12 top 10 smashes in his solo career, including a trio of tunes that stalled in the runner-up position. J-Hope Ties Suga and Jin Before 'Killin' It Girl' arrived, J-Hope was matched with fellow BTS star RM, as both had dominated the Digital Song Sales ranking with a pair of cuts. Now, he has passed the South Korean boy band's leader and tied both Suga and Jin with three wins apiece. That trio of superstars now jointly claim the third-most No. 1s of all time among South Korean solo musicians on Billboard's song sales tally. Looking only at soloists from South Korea, Jimin continues to rule, with six leaders on the Digital Song Sales chart. Jung Kook isn't far behind, with five champions. When groups are included, BTS easily dominates, as the band has conquered the list of the most purchased tracks in America on platforms like iTunes a dozen times.

BTS's J-hope Scores Career-Best on Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Killin' It Girl'

BTS's J-hope has made history with his latest single Killin' It Girl, debuting at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming the first K-pop soloist to notch eight entries on the chart. The song, featuring rapper GloRilla, marks J-hope's highest solo ranking yet in the United States and cements his growing global impact outside the group. Billboard confirmed on June 24 that the track also topped the Digital Song Sales chart, making it the best-selling track in the U.S. that week. It debuted at No. 2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 3 on the Global 200, adding to its impressive debut week. Killin' It Girl also landed J-hope a re-entry into the Artist 100 at No. 52, his 16th week on that chart as a soloist. With this release, J-hope surpasses bandmate Jungkook for the most Hot 100 entries by a K-pop soloist to date. This year has seen J-hope drop three charting singles, all landing in the Hot 100. Sweet Dreams featuring Miguel entered at No. 66, and Mona Lisa followed at No. 65. Killin' It Girl, the final track in his 2024 singles series, is his strongest performer so far. Across the Atlantic, the song also entered the UK Official Singles Top 100 at No. 30 - another personal record for the BTS star. With his enlistment currently ongoing, the success of his solo project demonstrates the enduring popularity and global influence of J-hope as both a performer and producer.

Sabrina Carpenter Reaches A New Career Peak With Her Latest Bestseller

Sabrina Carpenter's 'Manchild' debuts at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs charts, while she ... More hits a career-high No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales list. MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - AUGUST 24: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS. Sabrina Carpenter performs onstage during the "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at Foro Sol on August 24, 2023 in Mexico City, Mexico. (Photo by Hector Vivas/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management) 'Manchild' by Sabrina Carpenter is already one of the biggest hits of 2025, and it earns that distinction as it enjoys a high-profile entrance on numerous Billboard charts. The tune, which introduces the singer's upcoming album Man's Best Friend, debuts inside the top five on most of the tallies it appears on, and the cut even starts at No. 1 on several charts. The new release even brings Carpenter to a new career high on one particularly competitive list. Sabrina Carpenter's New Single Opens at No. 3 Carpenter's latest single opens at No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Luminate reports that in its first full tracking frame, 'Manchild' sold just under 5,600 copies — a fairly healthy sum in today's streaming-focused music industry. Sabrina Carpenter's New Career High That No. 3 placement now stands as Carpenter's career-best showing on the Digital Song Sales tally. Until this week, she had only appeared inside the top five with one track. 'Taste,' a single from her most recent full-length Short n' Sweet, debuted in that region in September 2024, stalling at No. 5. In addition to 'Manchild' and 'Taste,' Carpenter has also cracked the top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart with two other tracks, 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please.' Those singles from Short n' Sweet also spent time inside the competitive region, as 'Espresso' peaked at No. 6 in June 2024, while 'Please Please Please' climbed as high as No. 7 during the same frame. Sabrina Carpenter Follows Only Oliver Anthony Music Carpenter earns the second-highest debut this week on the Digital Song Sales tally, and she is edged out only by 'Scornful Woman,' the latest release from Oliver Anthony Music. That track opens in the runner-up spot, beating Carpenter's latest by roughly 200 copies. The list is once again led by 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren, which remains one of the breakout smashes of 2025. 'Manchild' Launches at No. 1 A healthy sales figure helps 'Manchild' debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It earns Carpenter her second champion and fourth top 10 on the tally of the most consumed songs in the U.S., which also factors in streaming activity. Plays on Spotify, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, Tidal and other sites also played a major role in the tune's immediate success, as the track launches at No. 1 on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart. Radio support contributes to a song's placement on the Hot 100 as well, and while 'Manchild' earns notable debuts on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay rankings, it misses the Radio Songs chart for now.

Morgan Wallen's New No. 1 Song: An Odd Journey To Becoming A Bestseller

Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae's 'What I Want' hits a new high at No. 9 on the Digital Song Sales ... More chart weeks after topping the Hot 100. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MAY 15: Morgan Wallen attends the 2022 Billboard Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 15, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor MRC) Morgan Wallen collected another No. 1 on the Hot 100 just a few weeks back with "What I Want," the latest single from his gargantuan album I'm the Problem. The tune debuted atop the competitive list at the same time that the full-length opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The track earned featured pop singer Tate McRae her first leader on the ranking as it debuted. "What I Want" quickly stepped down on the Hot 100, but it has been steadily gaining ground on another list — one where its ascent is a bit surprising. This week, "What I Want" lifts one spot on the Digital Song Sales chart. The cut climbs from No. 10 to No. 9, reaching a new all-time peak on Billboard's list of the top-selling tunes throughout the U.S. The Wallen/McRae team-up has experienced something of an unusual journey on the Digital Song Sales chart. Typically these days, when a major musician drops a new track, its first week turns out to be its most important when it comes to pure purchases. After enjoying a full tracking period, that's usually when it debuts in a lofty position on the Digital Song Sales tally — then often drops from there, unless it turns out to be a sustained smash. That's not what has happened with "What I Want." The single completely missed the Digital Song Sales chart the week it arrived on other Billboard rankings. When I'm the Problem first ruled, it was surprising to see the No. 1 song on the Hot 100 completely miss the 25-spot sales tally, but its quick adoption at radio and huge streaming numbers powered it to the summit. Last week, when it declined to the runner-up space on the Hot 100 – making room for 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren to finally hit No. 1 – "What I Want" finally debuted on the Digital Song Sales chart at No. 10. It's uncommon for the biggest track in America to not even rank as one of the 25 bestselling compositions in a given frame, but less odd for the No. 2 tune to sell the tenth-most copies of any track in the country. Interestingly, sales of "What I Want" are not increasing. It seems a relative lack of competition is to thank for the track's ascent. In the past tracking period, Luminate reports that the collaboration sold a little more than 2,100 copies. That's actually down 15% from the period before, when it managed 2,500.
