AAP appoints former Timarpur MLA Dillip Pandey as its overseas cordinator

New Delhi [India], May 22 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appointed Former Timarpur MLA Dilip Pandey as the party's Overseas Coordinator. The main Opposition party in Delhi had on Wednesday released a list of new office bearers. Jitender Singh Tomar was appointed as Madhya Pradesh's Prabhari. Rajesh Gupta, Rituraj Govind and Mahendra Yadav were appointed as Prabhari of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, respectively. Dheeraj Tokas has been made the Prabhari of Rajasthan. Prakash Jarwal was appointed as the Prabhari of Maharashtra. Ghanendra Bhardwaj and Vijay Phulara were appointed as Sah Prabhari of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, respectively. Four leaders were appointed as the Sah Prabhari of Uttar Pradesh: Dilip Pandey, Vishesh Ravi, Anil Jha and Ch. Surendra Kumar. On Friday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced a 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' amid the ongoing 'War Against Drugs' in Punjab, which has been initiated by the administration to eliminate drug abuse in the state. He will be accompanied by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in this endeavour to curb drug abuse in Punjab. He said that the 'Nasha Multi Yatra' would reach each village and ward in Punjab to strengthen people's resolve against drug abuse and the selling of drugs. It would also focus on convincing people to provide treatment to drug addicts to ensure their well-being. 'From today, the Nasha Mukti Yatra is starting in Punjab. This Yatra will go to every village and every ward of Punjab. Through this Yatra, people will now be connected with the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan. In every village and every ward, people will take an oath that they will not consume drugs themselves, will not let anyone sell drugs in their area and will get the drug addicts treated and get them out of addiction,' Kejriwal, former Chief Minister of Delhi, posted on X. He stated that the Punjab government has made arrangements for the treatment of drug addicts. 'The Punjab government has made arrangements on a large scale for the treatment of drug addicts. Three crore members of the Punjab family will now ensure that they eliminate drug addiction from Punjab,' Kejriwal said. 'In the last two and a half months, Punjab Police and Punjab Government have started a war against drugs. For the first time, action is being taken against drug smugglers on such a large scale,' he added. (ANI)

IMD Rain Alert in Delhi, Delhi-NCR Weather Today Live Updates: The Capital city witnessed a cool morning Thursday, with the minimum temperature dipping to 20.8 degrees Celsius, 5.9 degrees below the season's normal. The dip in the minimum temperature was recorded after a storm, high-speed winds, rain, and hailstorm swept the city on Wednesday night, leaving four people dead. The weather department said 12 mm rain was recorded in the last 24 hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted partly cloudy sky on Thursday and thunderstorm with rain on Friday and Saturday. DTC comes up with SOPs: The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has identified 30 locations where its CNG-run buses frequently break down, causing traffic disruptions daily, said officials. On average, 100 to 123 DTC buses break down daily, most at critical spots like ISBT Kashmere Gate, Minto Bridge underpass, Sarai Kale Khan, Rajghat, ITO, Vikas Marg, Civil lines, Dhaula Kuan, AIIMS flyover, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Ashram, and Dhaula Kuan near Subroto Park police station, among others, officials added. AAP appoints new office-bearers across states: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Thursday released a fresh list of office-bearers, appointing key leaders to organisational roles across various states as well as for overseas coordination. The appointments were formalised through an official announcement signed by Sandeep Pathak, the party's national general secretary (organisation). Senior AAP leader Dilip Pandey has been appointed as the party's overseas coordinator. Additionally, he has been named 'Sah Prabhari' (co-in-charge) for Uttar Pradesh, along with Vishesh Ravi, Anil Jha and Surendra Kumar.

1 2 Lucknow: To prepare for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh , the Aam Aadmi Party has devised a 13-point agenda on which it will work in the coming months. At a party workers' meeting held in Lucknow on Saturday, senior party member Dilip Pandey outlined the agenda, which emphasises the party's commitment to constitutional values such as social justice, secularism, transparency, public participation, and integrity. The agenda, on which the party will be carrying out protests and seeking answers from the govt, includes rising electricity bills in the state, private school mafia, poor state of healthcare services, investigation of Kumbh stampede under the supervision of a retired high court judge and injustice towards backward classes, Dalits, minorities, and tribals. It will also highlight increasing crimes against women and overall crime rate, uncontrolled unemployment in the country and UP, inflation, ineffectiveness of local representatives, corruption in the UP govt, neglect of farmers' interests by the UP govt, the struggle against the new Waqf law, and the OBC reservation scam in UP. Rajya Sabha MP and party in-charge Sanjay Singh, while addressing the 'UP Ki Baat, Karyakartaon Ke Saath' conference, outlined the AAP 's organisational development plan for UP over the next few months. The party has not contested any election in the state in the past two years and is working to contest at least 60-80 seats in the 2027 assembly polls.
