Eileen Davidson leads Daytime Emmy predictions for Best Drama Actress, but watch out for Nancy Lee Grahn
The Daytime Emmys race for Best Drama Actress is shaping up to be a battle between Eileen Davidson (The Young and the Restless) and Nancy Lee Grahn (General Hospital). According to Gold Derby's predictions, the former is currently out front with a 54 percent chance of winning, while the latter is in the runner-up position with 21 percent. Davidson has played Ashley Abbott, a successful chemist and businesswoman who consistently navigates family drama, on and off since since her The Young and the Restless debut in 1982. During the eligible 2024 season, Ashley experienced Dissociative Identity Disorder and splintered into several different personalities, including Ash, Mrs. Abbott, and Belle. To date, Davidson has won two Daytime Emmys for Best Drama Actress, in 2014 for Days of Our Lives and in 2018 for The Young and the Restless. #SHOWBIZ: TVB star Kelly Fu's durian feast in Malaysia: 12 pieces in one go
HONG KONG: Popular Hong Kong actress Kelly Fu and actor Owen Cheung, co-stars in TVB's crime drama D.I.D. 12, were recently in Malaysia for a promotional event. Sin Chew Daily reported that both actors indulged in local food, with Fu particularly enjoying durians – she apparently ate 12 pieces in one sitting. Cheung, however, wasn't a fan of the 'king of fruits' and felt rather uncomfortable after tasting just one piece. The 37-year-old TVB Best Actor shared his relief: "Fortunately, I got to have a delicious bowl of prawn noodles at a small shop." Fu also spoke about her culinary adventures, saying, "I tried ikan bakar with sambal sauce, as well as patin fish and sambal sauce. It's so fragrant, and it goes really well with rice." A fan of spicy food, Fu even bought jars of sambal as souvenirs. The 40-year-old actress described filming D.I.D. 12 as an unforgettable experience. She praised Cheung's support, especially during intense emotional scenes, and also appreciated him keeping the air conditioning on during hot days on set. In the series, Cheung plays a brilliant but volatile detective who struggles with Dissociative Identity Disorder, while Fu takes on the role of a criminal psychologist.

Since this is Fu's first visit to Malaysia, Cheung took it upon himself to play host when they were out indulging in local food. Unfortunately for Cheung – who is not a fan of durian – Fu wanted to sample Malaysia's king of fruits ... and she truly enjoyed it as she apparently consumed 12 pieces in one go. Ever the gentleman, Cheung shared that he was 'forced to taste a bite' too. Even though durian may not be on his list of indulgence while in Malaysia, Cheung admited he does eat a lot when he's here. As quoted by Sin Chew, the actor said that every time he visits Malaysia, "I always tell myself to not eat so much, but it is difficult to control. I have to eat supper after dinner!' The 37-year-old TVB Best Actor fondly recalled eating a delicious bowl of local prawn noodles at a small non-air-conditioned shop. He hoped to to revisit the same stall this time around. Besides durian, Fu also ate ikan bakar (grilled fish) with sambal and rice. 'I also tried patin fish and sambal sauce for the first time. Gram Chikitsalay ending explained: Gram Chikitsalay released on Prime Video recently and people have been binge-watching it since. The plot of Deepak Kumar Mishra's Gram Chikitsalaya centers on a doctor attempting to turn around an abandoned and weary medical facility in the village. It is being praised as a wholesome and lighthearted watch. The series stars Amol Parashar as Dr. Prabhat Sinha, with a talented supporting cast that includes Vinay Pathak, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. If you have watched the show, here's a closer look at what really happened at the end and whether season 2 might be on the horizon. (Spoilers ahead, you know what to do) Gram Chikitsalay ending explained Throughout Gram Chikitsalay, we see Prabhat struggling to bring even a single patient to his PHC. Things take a turn when Indu's son, Sudhir, refuses to admit that he delivered the vaccine Prabhat had given him for his mother. As tensions rise, Prabhat begins to suspect something deeper is going on and eventually discovers Sudhir in a disoriented state, alone in the middle of nowhere. It's then that Prabhat realizes Sudhir isn't lying, he's suffering from a mental health condition. After much effort, Prabhat finally convinces Indu to allow her son to be treated by a good psychiatrist. This moment marks a breakthrough for both characters and also becomes Prabhat's first real case as a doctor at the PHC. Another emotional subplot unfolds when Indu's husband, who had been missing for six years, suddenly returns, now reappearing as a wandering saint. He repeatedly asks Indu for a final offering. Initially, she ignores him, but after sending her son away for treatment, she finally gives him what he asked for. In a deeply moving scene, Indu breaks down in tears, showing the immense emotional weight she had been carrying. We also learn more about Sudhir's behavior, how, during his episodes, he would identify as a conductor, a teacher, or various other roles. It's later revealed that these were all the professions his father had once held. This hints at deeper psychological trauma, possibly inherited or mirrored from his father, raising the possibility that his father may also have suffered from a mental health disorder. Will Gram Chikitsalay have a second season? Judging by how Gram Chikitsalay ends, it's quite clear that the show is setting up for a second season. In the final episode, we see Sudhir beginning his treatment, but the show leaves us hanging without revealing whether he recovers from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Adding to the suspense, Dr. Prabhat continues to avoid reading the CMO's letter following the vaccine mishap, hinting at unresolved consequences. These open-ended threads strongly suggest that the makers have more in store. While there's been no official confirmation yet, all signs point toward a second season on the horizon. Gram Chikitsalay review TVF's latest creation, Gram Chikitsalay, now streaming on Prime Video, is a charming watch for those who enjoy lighthearted stories rooted in India's heartland. Like most TVF shows, it keeps things grounded and authentic, offering a slice-of-life narrative that feels real and relatable. While Gram Chikitsalay may not be as gripping or sharply written as Panchayat, the similarities are hard to miss, a village setting, an educated outsider arriving to fulfill his duties, and the subtle exploration of rural life. Despite these familiar elements, the show manages to bring in some warmth and simplicity. However I do feel that the script needed a booster shot for sure (if you know, you know). One of the biggest highlights is Garima Vikrant Singh, who delivers a standout performance as Indu. She brings depth and nuance to her character, making her one of the most compelling reasons to give this show a watch.
