Ditshego passed away on Wednesday last week. Family, friends and supporters are gathered at the SABC Radio Park Auditorium for the memorial service of veteran actress Meme Ditshego. Ditshego passed away on the evening of Wednesday, 25 June, her agency confirmed in a statement. 'Whether through laughter or heartfelt storytelling, Meme had a rare gift: she made us feel. As her management, Eye Media Artists stands with her family during this painful time,' the statement added. 'Every time I spoke to her, there was laughter. She spoke about everything and anything. She wanted to laugh and have fun; she just genuinely loved nice things. 'I think today that's why, for me, it's a celebration more than it is mourning, because I know wherever she is in spirit, she would laugh at us for celebrating the fullness of her life. She was such a dynamite. She loved her craft, storytelling, and she loved us.' Tributes pour in for veteran actress Meme Ditshego who has died at 60
The South African entertainment has lost one of its most beloved actors, Meme Ditshego, who died on Wednesday, June 25, at the age of 60. Her passing was confirmed by her talent agency, Eye Media Artists. The cause of death has still not been revealed. Ditshego is renowned for her iconic roles in popular local TV shows, including SABC 2's 'Ga Re Dumele', where she played the iconic role of Josephine Ratau. She has starred in 'The Coconuts', 'Muvhango' '7de Laan' and most recently, 'Cobrizi.'

Kempton Park resident shot during early morning home invasion
A Glen Marais resident was shot during a home invasion in the early hours of this morning. Kempton Express reports that, according to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, police were called to the scene at around 05:30. 'Sergeant Bruce Madingana responded to the call. On his arrival, the victim had already been taken to hospital for medical treatment,' says Ditshego. She explains that a male suspect broke through burglar bars to gain entry into the house. The homeowner reportedly heard movement inside and used a torch to investigate. He was shot in the lower body. His brother was in another room at the time. A laptop and a cellphone were stolen during the incident. 'We currently do not have a description of the suspect,' Ditshego adds. Police confirm that a case of attempted murder, among other charges, is under investigation. SAPS is appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
