Spartans commit, 3-star TE Eddie Whiting reaffirms MSU commitment following official visit
Spartans commit, 3-star TE Eddie Whiting reaffirms MSU commitment following official visit Locked In: #MichiganState TE commit Eddie Whiting posted his official visit pics with the song choice of Drake's 'Do Not Disturb.' Alabama, Michigan, Florida & several others offered, visited & pursued him before he committed to the Spartans in early February. — Justin Thind (@JustinThind) June 1, 2025 One of the Spartans' top commits in the 2026 class reaffirmed his commitment to Michigan State following his official visit this weekend. Spartans commit Eddie Whiting of Sioux Falls, S.D. posted a clear message following his official visit to Michigan State this weekend: "Do Not Disturb." The three-star tight end prospect posted pictures of his official visit to Michigan State this weekend, and with the photos included the song "Do Not Disturb" from Drake. The post from Whiting can be seen below -- courtesy of 247Sports' Justin Thind: Whiting is a high-end three-star tight end in the 2026 class. He was once listed as a four-star prospect but his recruiting rating has recently slipped slightly to 88. Whiting ranks as the No. 28 tight end in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 2 player from South Dakota and No. 565 overall prospect in the class. Michigan State landed Whiting's commitment in February over a number of other big-time programs. He holds offers from nearly 20 schools, with some of those coming from power programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, UCLA, Washington and Wisconsin. Retaining Whiting's commitment is a big deal for the Spartans as he is currently one of their highest-rated commits in the 2026 class. There is still plenty of time left in the recruiting cycle for things to change, of course, but this is a great sign for head coach Jonathan Smith and his staff. Android 16 fixes the mistake Google made with Do Not Disturb mode
Mishaal Rahman / Android Authority TL;DR Google is bringing back the ability to toggle Do Not Disturb mode with a single tap in the Quick Settings. The setting can be toggled off/on by tapping on the icon on the left side of the Modes tile. Tapping on the right side of the Modes tile will bring up the menu. When Google rolled out Modes in the latest Android 15 quarterly release, it also removed the dedicated Do Not Disturb (DND) tile from Quick Settings. This toggle allowed you to switch back and forth from normal mode to DND mode with a single tap. In April, we found evidence that Google was planning to re-add the shortcut to Quick Settings. Now it appears the toggle is back with Android 16, but in a slightly different way. Google just released Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1, essentially a preview of the next Pixel Drop release, this week. The update is bringing a number of changes to Android, like Google's new Material 3 Expressive design. These changes also include a modified Modes tile in Quick Settings. First noticed by 9to5Google, the Modes tile now serves a dual purpose. The icon in the Modes tile, located on the left side, now acts as a toggle for DND mode. This means you can once again turn DND on or off with a single tap. Meanwhile, touching the right side of the tile will open up the Modes menu like before. The outlet adds that you'll first need to have 'Duration for Quick Settings' turned to 'until you turn off' or 'For X hour' in the DND settings. Modes isn't the only Quick Settings tile to get this treatment, as it appears you can also do this with the Bluetooth tile. Tapping on the icon will turn Bluetooth on or off, while tapping on any other part of the tile will bring up the menu. The next Pixel Drop is expected to be released in June. So you won't have to wait too long to have access to this returning experience. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . How to block unwanted promotional calls in India using the TRAI DND app; here's everything you need to know
In the hyper-connected digital world today, unsolicited commercial communication (UCC) in the form of spam calls and promotional SMS has become a real annoyance for mobile consumers in India. Identifying the increasing issues with privacy and user control, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) came up with the Do Not Disturb (DND) app to assist users in shielding themselves from invasive telemarketing practices. Recently, the Press Information Bureau ( PIB ), in its Fact Check department, formally endorsed the app's legitimacy and value, quashing skepticism due to viral promotional messages that were touting the application. PIB confirms TRAI DND app is reliable to block or report promotional calls With growing transmission of promotional messages sent by sender ID AD-TRAIND-G on channels such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and SMS, doubts began to be raised about their authenticity by some users. Such messages commonly contain a call to action like: "Had enough spam calls? Take control and cut them down. Report, block, or allow promotional calls with ease—download the TRAI DND App today. Google Play and App Store." To clear the air, the PIB Fact Check team did a fact-check and established that the TRAI DND app is authentic and supported by the Government of India. This official verification gives users the guarantee that the app is a reliable mechanism for handling unwanted communication. What is the TRAI DND app TRAI DND app is a smartphone application created by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to enable mobile users to track, manage, and report unsolicited commercial communication. It is downloadable free of cost from both the Google Play Store (for Android-based mobile phones) and the Apple App Store (for iOS-based mobile phones). The app acts as a direct interaction gateway between mobile consumers and telecom service providers to: Register complaints against unwanted calls or SMS. Select preferences for promotional content they are okay to receive. Opt out of telemarketer communication entirely by enrolling in the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR), also known as the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry. Steps to block spam promotional calls through TRAI DND app Step 1: Download the TRAI DND App Android users: Go to the Google Play Store and search for TRAI DND. Click Install to download and install the application. iPhone users: Go to the Apple App Store and search for TRAI DND. Click Get to download the application. Source: Google Play Step 2: Open the app and register Open the app after installation: You will be prompted to register your mobile number. The process is done through the verification of your number using an OTP (One-Time Password), which will be delivered to your phone. Source: Google Play Step 3: Pick your choices Opt-out from DND: You may opt-out totally from telemarketing calls by registering your number in the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) or Do Not Disturb (DND) register. This keeps telemarketers from calling your number. Personalised preferences: Rather than blocking all calls, you can choose types of promotional calls you want to accept, like banking, education, health, etc. You will receive only those calls that fit your interests. Source: Google Play Step 4: Report unwanted calls/SMS Source: Google Play If you keep receiving unwanted telemarketing calls/spam SMS, you can report them immediately through the application. Press "Report Spam" and choose the offending call or message. Your telecom operator will receive the complaint for investigation through the app. Step 5: Monitor complaint status The app provides you with the status of your complaints, informing you if any action has been taken to address the problem. Monitor your preferences on a regular basis via the app to make sure you're only getting calls and texts you desire. You can modify your preferences or submit new complaints whenever necessary. Source: Google Play Step 7: Update the app Make sure you're operating the latest version of the app to enjoy any new improvements or features implemented to simplify blocking unwanted communications. TRAI DND app: Key features and functional benefits The DND app provides several features aimed at giving users greater control over commercial communication. Following is a close-up look at its key features: Easy complaint registration Users are able to rapidly report spam SMS or calls by choosing the sender and opting for an appropriate complaint category. The complaint will be automatically routed to the user's telecom company for investigation and action. Personalizable communication preferences Rather than opting out of all promotional messages, consumers can choose preferences based on certain categories like education, banking, health, real estate, etc. This lets consumers receive only those messages that are relevant to them. DND registration Those consumers who are more comfortable with a full opt-out choice can register their mobile numbers in the Do Not Disturb registry, which keeps telemarketers legally out of their hair and away from unsolicited pitches. Track complaint status The app facilitates instant complaint tracking so that users are able to track their submissions and confirm if proper action has been taken. Data privacy and official regulation Being a regulated tool by the government, the app keeps the data of the users in proper care. In contrast to third-party spam blockers, the TRAI DND app cooperates directly with telecom operators within authorized regulatory frameworks. TRAI leads the charge in creating a spam-free telecom environment The DND app is not only a tool of personal protection—it is also a key driver of a more regulated and user-friendly telecom environment. As users report the violation repeatedly, it assists TRAI and the telecom operators in the identification of repeat offenders and punitive action against them, such as blacklisting or imposing fines. By promoting use across the board, the government hopes to: Lessen the aggregate number of fraudulent and spam calls. Encourage ethical marketing practices. Increase the credibility of electronic communication channels. TRAI and PIB champion public awareness to curb digital intrusions In a measure to acknowledge the growing number of spam-related complaints, the government has launched awareness campaigns, encouraging citizens to download and utilize the app. The PIB's public support forms part of this broader communication campaign, with the aim of promoting a cleaner, more secure telecommunication environment for everyone. By PIB's endorsement, the government reiterates its dedication to safeguarding users against privacy invasions and commercial exploitation. How this Dubai-based entrepreneur built million-dollar business while travelling the world
In an age where Wi-Fi is wealth and freedom is the new currency, few embody the digital nomad dream quite like Sarah Harris. The New Zealand-born model turned entrepreneur, now based in Dubai, has transformed her life—and the lives of thousands of her followers—through a blend of business savvy, personal branding, and unshakeable belief in living life on her own terms. With 2.6 million Instagram followers and a digital empire built around travel, lifestyle, and financial freedom, Harris is more than just a pretty face. She's proof that with the right mindset, anyone can trade the 9-5 grind for a passport and a purpose. 'The shift from modelling to entrepreneurship was actually a really natural progression,' Sarah reflects. 'I became more aware of the pressure the industry was putting on my body and mental health. Social media gave me an outlet to share more of my journey—and I quickly saw the financial potential of it.' What started as a visual diary evolved into a full-scale business platform. Through she now teaches others how to monetise their scroll time and build location-independent income. But this freedom wasn't handed to her. 'The turning point was actually a deal I made with my mum,' she says. 'I left university—on a scholarship, no less—on the condition that if I didn't earn at least half my expected grad salary within a year, I'd go back. A year later, I was earning double.' For many aspiring entrepreneurs, the leap into the unknown is scary. But Harris believes that uncertainty is something to be embraced—not feared. 'I always had unstable income—whether it was modelling or a student job,' she says. 'I advise people to start building their online income gradually while working their 9-5. Save enough to cushion a few quiet months.' Her digital products, designed for ease and efficiency, are built with this transition in mind. 'People think they need hours. But with Done-For-You products, you can start in the same time it takes to scroll Instagram.' Sarah's Instagram might suggest a life of sun-kissed resorts and beachside brunches, but behind the lens is a structured system. 'A typical workday? It starts with tragic Wi-Fi at a cute café and ends back at the hotel working efficiently. I batch content, manage emails and DMs, and handle my digital product ecosystem—all within a few focused hours,' she says. 'The whole point of this lifestyle is freedom. If I'm working all day, I may as well be in an office.' Her secret? Morning CEO mode. 'Phone on Do Not Disturb, clear goals, then off to swim with dolphins if the chance arises. That's the balance.' The myths of the digital nomad life Harris is quick to debunk the fantasy that digital entrepreneurship is all coconuts and beach laptops. 'It's not a permanent vacation. I've launched products from airport gates with dodgy Wi-Fi. It's incredible—but it's a lifestyle you work to sustain.' Still, the payoff is worth it. She credits her success to consistency, strategy, and understanding that perfection is the enemy of progress. 'You don't need 100K followers to start monetising. You need a niche, a strategy, and something you actually enjoy. You're better off launching a B+ product with A+ consistency than sitting on the perfect idea forever.' Her advice for those dreaming of location independence? Treat it like a job—before it becomes one. 'Build the habits, systems, and monthly income targets before hopping on a plane. My first milestone was Dh25,000 a month. From there, the lifestyle followed.' And while Bali remains a hot spot for nomads, Harris champions more underrated locales. 'I chose Dubai over Bali for a reason—the Wi-Fi, the café culture, and the networking scene are second to none. But if you're set on Bali, try Pererenan. It's like Canggu without the chaos.' Now, Sarah is turning her journey into a tangible roadmap for others. 'I'm building a comprehensive blueprint that takes you from 'desk to destination,'' she reveals. 'From pitching hotels to creating high-converting content and forming lasting brand relationships—it's everything I wish I had when I started.' For Harris, it's about making freedom accessible. 'It's not just about travel—it's about building a life on your terms.'
