EVSC robotics team heads to worlds
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Big things are on the horizon for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation's robotics team.
The New Tech Institute's team won the Engineering Inspiring award after competing in Indianapolis, and will head to worlds.
The competition, held in Houston, will put the team competing among 600 teams from across the world.
The CEO of the team says the goal for the program is to inspire kids in STEM at all ages.
The competition begins on Wednesday and the team's robot, Doctor Smith, is already en route to Houston.
