North High School students debut electrifying cMoe exhibit
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — North High School students are showing off their hard work with a brand-new exhibit at cMoe in Evansville. The exhibit was entirely designed, built and installed by the school's engineering students. The project gives students a hands-on way to learn about STEM — especially how mechanical energy can be turned into electrical energy — all by riding a stationary bicycle. The faster they pedal, the more energy they create and the more light bulbs they can power. Students tell us it was a one-of-a-kind opportunity to combine what they've learned in the classroom with something the entire community can enjoy. The exhibit is in the Art-maker Studio portion of the museum. Officials say they are excited about future collaborations. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. More help available for residents dealing with flood damage Senate Bill 1699 would require the Secretary of Commerce to carry out a public awareness and education campaign on artificial intelligence (AI). The campaign would focus on the risks, benefits, and prevalence of AI in Americans' daily lives and would also provide information on practical applications for AI for small business owners. The bill would also require a report from the Secretary of Commerce, no later than one year after initiating the campaign, to determine its effectiveness. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
