RCMP issue Dangerous Person Alert over man with gun in rural Saskatchewan

RCMP in Saskatchewan have issued a Dangerous Person Alert for the Loon Lake area in for a 24-year-old man who may be in the area and is reported to be armed. Police say Michael Bouvier was last seen on Ministikwan Cree Nation at 11 p.m. Thursday night. Earlier Friday, police released a statement which said officers were dispatched to a home on Ministikwan Cree Nation after receiving a report that a woman was being held against her will. Later, in the day, police said the pair could also be in a black Dodge Journey, with a plate number of 412 NPF. Story continues below advertisement The Mounties described Bouvier as being about five-feet-seven-inches tall, weighing 215 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. They describe Iron as being around five-feet-six-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and hair. She is said to be wearing a burgundy-coloured hoodie and jeans, as well as black and white Converse sneakers. The village of Loon Lake is about a 90 minute drive north-east of Lloydminster.

May 13—DIXON — A Rock Falls man is hospitalized in Rockford after the motorcycle he was driving collided with an SUV in rural Dixon. Jordan M. Goodell, 26, was injured in the crash that happened about 5 p.m. Monday, May 12, near Palmyra Road and Peek Home Road, according to a news release from the Lee County Sheriff's Office. According to the release, Goodell's 2020 Harley was traveling northeast on Palmyra Road when it collided with a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by Melissa J. Blomberg, 35, of Dixon, as she was traveling southwest on Palmyra Road. She also suffered injuries in the crash, police said. Goodell was taken to OSF St. Katherine Hospital in Dixon and later transferred to OSF St. Anthony's in Rockford for further treatment. Paramedics took Blomberg and her passenger to CGH Medical Center in Sterling. They were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. The Lee County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Dixon Rural Fire Department and Advance EMS Ambulance Services. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

STATESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Statesville police officer is recovering after getting into a vehicle collision while responding to an emergency call. On May 6, around 7:10 p.m., the officer was traveling northbound on Turnersburg Highway with blue lights and siren activated. As the officer entered the intersection, a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Glenway Drive crossed the highway toward Sunset Hill Road. The police vehicle collided with the Silverado, causing the truck to overturn and subsequently struck a 2018 Dodge Journey that was stopped at the light. Both the officer and the driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries and were transported to Iredell Memorial Hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Dodge. CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A man on a lawn mower was killed in a crash near Chambersburg late Saturday night, according to State Police. The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Kohler Road in Greene Township, State Police at Chambersburg said. Albert Johnson, 47, was aboard a lawn mower on Kohler Road headed east as a Dodge Journey was also headed east on Kohler Road. The lawn mower did not have proper lighting equipment, troopers said. The Journey, driven by a Chambersburg man, struck Johnson and the lawnmower. A 71-year-old woman was seriously injured when two vehicles collided head-on near Uxbridge on Tuesday afternoon. Durham Regional Police say the crash unfolded on Davis Dr., west of Concession 4, around 3:30 p.m. 'A Ford pickup operated by a 45-year-old male from Barrie was westbound on Davis Dr. when he pulled out to pass a transport truck, travelling in the eastbound lane,' police said in a statement released Wednesday. 'At the same time, a Dodge Journey operated by a 64-year-old male from Omemee was eastbound on Davis Dr. heading uphill. 'As the vehicles approached each other, each driver made an evasive manoeuvre to avoid colliding. The westbound Ford veered left off of the roadway, while the Dodge veered right off the roadway,' police explained. 'The result was both vehicles hitting head-on off of the roadway,' cops added. 'The driver of the Ford and driver of the Dodge both were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries,' police said. The crash is still under investigation.
