'The Doozy': London's ultimate ladies' lunch

On Saturday, 8 November 2025, London will play host to a uniquely vibrant, purpose-driven celebration – The Doozy – at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. Described as 'far from your average ladies' lunch' , the event will kick off at 12:00 with welcome drinks in The Drawing Room, followed by an afternoon in The Edinburgh Suite. Guests can expect a curated experience that blends entertainment, luxury, and networking with fine food, an auction, live music, dancing – and some exciting surprises still under wraps. At its core, The Doozy is a celebration of dynamic women – those who work hard, play harder, and believe in giving back. And it's all in aid of a powerful cause: The Good Work Foundation, a non-profit which runs digital learning centres in rural South Africa, with a focus on education, digital skills, and job training for both children and adults. Founded by South Africa-born sisters Justine and Courtney Healey and their cousin Lorena Duguid (born in Scotland, but with South African roots), the trio – all currently based in the United Kingdom and working in the tech space – wanted to do something good for South Africa, while also providing an opportunity for women to get dressed up, meet other interesting women and let their hair down. They decided, London needed a Doozy! 'We wanted to do something meaningful for South Africa while creating a space where women can truly enjoy themselves, connect, and give back,' said co-founder Justine Healey. Single Gold Ticket : £190 : £190 Single VIP Ticket : £260 : £260 Gold Table (10 seats) : £1 700 : £1 700 VIP Table (10 seats): £2 300 Only five Gold tables and one VIP table remain, as at the time of publishing. In addition to ticket sales, The Doozy is actively seeking corporate sponsors, goodie bag contributors, and auction/raffle prize donations to support its charitable mission. Interested businesses are invited to reach out to the organisers at thedoozylondon@ for sponsorship details. 'The Doozy isn't just an event,' said co-founder Lorena Duguid. 'It's a movement of women lifting up other women – and communities – through connection, celebration, and generosity.' Don't miss out on the opportunity to have a Doozy!
