Go on the Road with Wood Wood's Intimate 'Double A' Campaign
Summary Wood Woodis set to launch a new campaign titled 'Double A' for itsFall/Winter 2025'Sphere' collection. Under the creative direction of Brian SS Jensen and Head of Design Gitte Wetter, the campaign moves beyond the broader collection's themes of nature and futurism to focus on an intimate narrative: the unfiltered spirit of friendship, youth and the freedom of life on the road. 'Double A has always been about creating an accessible, everyday wardrobe, but this season we wanted to go deeper into the idea of friendships and shared experiences,' Jensen tells Hypebeast. He adds that 'The campaign is all about youth, roadtrips and those small, magic moments you share with friends – loud music, windows down, no destination.' The campaign's visuals have a deliberately raw, documentary feel, capturing the spontaneous energy of a cross-country drive with friends. Rather than hyper-polished backdrops, the images focus on candid moments of togetherness, from impromptu roadside stops to the hum of late-night highways. 'Everything felt very organic, really,' Jensen explains. 'We wanted to create something like a real experience, something that felt like a memory… Letting things be imperfect, spontaneous.' More than just a lookbook, the 'Double A' campaign re-frames Wood Wood's signature staples as vessels for shared memories and a collective energy. Jensen hopes people feel a sense of belonging in the clothes. 'In general, I want people to feel comfortable and confident in our clothes, but maybe also like they're part of something bigger – part of a shared story,' he says. 'These are clothes you can throw on in the morning and know they'll carry you through any kind of day. For me, this collection is about feeling young and free.' Look for the official unveiling of 'Double A' on Wood Wood'sofficial channels. In the meantime, you can preview moments from the upcoming campaign in the gallery.

Mets prospect Jonah Tong turns in another dominant outing for Double-A Binghamton
Top Mets pitching prospect Jonah Tong kept his dominant season going on Tuesday afternoon, firing 5.0 innings of shutout ball for Double-A Binghamton as he overpowered the Somerset Patriots. Facing a Somerset lineup that included top Yankees prospect George Lombard, Jr., Tong allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight during his 82-pitch outing. Tong lowered his ERA to 1.58 and now has 154 strikeouts in 97.0 innings this season spanning 19 starts. The 22-year-old Tong won every battle against Lombard, who was called out on strikes his first time up, grounded out to third base on the first pitch of his second at-bat, and struck out swinging his third time up. Featuring a fastball that sat between 93 and 98 mph and his Vulcan changeup, Tong frustrated Somerset all day. Tong struggled with his command a bit in the fourth inning, issuing a leadoff walk and one-out single. But he worked around the jam by notching a pair of strikeouts. A leadoff double and bunt put a runner on third with one out in the fifth, but Tong buckled down, recording back-to-back strikeouts to emerge unscathed. It remains a bit of a mystery why Tong hasn't yet been promoted to Triple-A Syracuse. There is a bit of a logjam there in the starting rotation, but Tong has been mostly overmatching Double-A hitters for months. The top pitching prospect on SNY contributor Joe DeMayo's midseason top 30 list, Tong is expected to make his big league debut at some point in 2026.

Trade analysis: Orioles fare well in adding Juaron Watts-Brown for Seranthony Domínguez
Trade details: Toronto Blue Jays acquire RHP Seranthony Domínguez from the Baltimore Orioles for RHP Juaron Watts-Brown We have a trade involving a real prospect! Sound the alarm! The Orioles picked up right-hander Juaron Watts-Brown from the Blue Jays in exchange for reliever Seranthony Domínguez, who is a free agent after the season, so it's hard not to like the deal for the Orioles — they got a prospect for 20 innings or so of a guy they won't even miss. Advertisement Domínguez has long been a righty-killing reliever with enough of a platoon split that he isn't well-suited to the highest-leverage situations; his career line against right-handed batters is .181/.277/.284, and he's been even better than that this year, .127/.266/.177, in a small sample. He's a fastball/slider guy and has been for a while, now working in a split-fingered fastball to try to keep lefties in check, although it hasn't been that effective. The bigger concern is that he's walked guys at a higher rate than ever this year, particularly righties, with a 16 percent walk rate against right-handed batters in that same small sample (94 batters faced). The Blue Jays' bullpen has been slightly better than the AL median this year, but they're front-loaded, and Domínguez helps them shore up the back half of the bullpen — including the DFA of Chad Green and his 6.21 FIP today — while also perhaps letting them give Yariel Rodriguez and Jeff Hoffman a little more time off between outings. GO DEEPER Trade grade: Blue Jays acquire Seranthony Domínguez to bolster beleaguered bullpen Watts-Brown, 23, was the Blue Jays' third-round pick in 2023 out of Oklahoma State. He is a potential starter, definitely some kind of big leaguer, with a pretty easily delivery and a three-pitch mix. His fastball ranges from 91-96, topping out around 96.5, with a 55 slider (on the 20-80 scouting scale) and a curveball that looks like it could be plus but plays more average to above-average — it's a traditional 12/6 and is nice to look at, but that's not what matters in the end. He has a changeup, but barely uses it and doesn't show much feel for it, preferring his downward-breaking slider in changeup situations to lefties. He's had no platoon split this year overall between High A and Double A. The problem has been that his four-seamer gets hammered when hitters get to it, as they're slugging .443 off the pitch in Double A and putting it in the air the majority of the time. He has thrown just a couple of cutters this year, fewer than 10, and I don't see any evidence he's thrown a two-seamer, either of which might help him get hitters off the four-seamer — or, in the case of a two-seamer, maybe replace it as his primary fastball. Because of the hard contact on the four-seamer, Watts-Brown tends to try to work outside of the strike zone too much with it, leading to an 11.8 percent walk rate in Double A. Advertisement There's just a lot of upside here for the right development group. This Orioles regime hasn't had success with a pitching prospect like Watts-Brown so far, however, making this an interesting choice of a prospect for them to acquire. Chicago White Sox prospect Noah Schultz struggles as National League wins MLB All-Star Futures Game
ATLANTA — Josue De Paula hit a three-run home run in a four-run fourth inning and the National League beat the American League 4-2 on Saturday in the All-Star Futures Game featuring top prospects. The National League is 4-1-1 since the Futures Game moved from a United States versus World format to AL versus NL in 2019. Noah Schultz, a left-hander in the Chicago White Sox's organization, gave up four hits and four runs, including the line-drive home run by De Paula that traveled 416 feet to right-center. De Paula, an outfielder, plays for High-A Great Lakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers' organization. De Paula, selected the game's Most Valuable Player, said the home run is 'definitely a motivator' in his path to the major leagues. 'For me mentally, a big moment,' De Paula said. 'It proved to me, especially to myself, who I really am.' Schultz then gave up a single to LuJames Groover, who scored on Chicago Cubs prospect Owen Caissie's double to left field. New York Yankees infield prospect George Lombard Jr., the son of Detroit Tigers bench coach George Lombard, walked, stole second base and scored on Sox prospect Braden Montgomery's groundout in the third to give the AL a 1-0 lead. Lombard also had a double. Josue Briceño, a Double A catcher for Detroit, tripled and scored on Sebastian Walcott's sacrifice fly in the fourth to push the lead to 2-0. Two former Atlanta stars, Chipper Jones and Marquis Grissom, were the managers for the NL and AL, respectively. Jones was an eight-time All-Star third baseman who spent his entire career with Atlanta before becoming a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee in 2018. Jones and Grissom were teammates on Atlanta's 1995 World Series championship team. Grissom caught a fly ball in center field for the clinching final out in the win over Cleveland. 'You can't measure my chill bumps right now with a yard stick,' Jones said when asked about the memory of watching Grissom 'just glide to it and knowing that he's got a bead on it and this puppy's over, it was like it was happening in slow motion.' Right-hander JR Ritchie, an Atlanta prospect who has pitched for High-A Rome and Double-A Columbus this season, because the 10th pitcher to start a Futures Game in his organization's home park. Ritchie had two strikeouts in a scoreless first inning. Ritchie said he received a phone call from Jones telling him he would start. 'It was unbelievable,' Ritchie said. 'I never thought Chipper Jones would call me.' Left-hander Parker Messick, who is with Cleveland's Triple-A Columbus, had a scoreless first inning for the AL. Grissom's son, Marquis Grissom Jr., a right-hander for the Washington Nationals' Triple-A Rochester, gave up one run in one inning for the NL while his father was in the opposing dugout. He said he was looking forward to bragging about the win to his father. 'He lost!' Grissom Jr. said. 'He took the L so he better be ready when I get home!' 'I'm just happy to be a part of this, and get a chance to see my son, all the work he's put in to be a part of this and excel his baseball career,' the elder Grissom said, adding the chance 'to be around the future stars of the game, it doesn't really get any better than that for me.' Seattle minor leaguer Jurrangelo Cijntje showed off his switch-pitching skills in his scoreless second inning for the AL. He recorded a strikeout against Jesús Made while pitching from the right side, when threw from the left side while coaxing a fly ball from De Paula before giving up a single to LuJames Groover, again from the right side and then switching yet again to strike out Joe Mack and end the inning.
