The tattoo fiesta also includes different events, entertainment, and more. July 12 July Family Day – Don't miss the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science's last Family Day of 2025. Learn about fossil identification and how it's done. There will be a paleontologist, geologist, and naturalist present to help visitors identify potential fossils and photos of animal traces. This event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 12 Downtown Growers' Market – Visit Albuquerque's longest-running farmers' market for the largest selection of local farmers providing fresh produce, eggs, honey, meats, local goods, hot prepared foods on-site, and handmade art, crafts, and body care products. The ruling stems from a case involving a Human Services Department employee who injured his knee after slipping on ice, developed an infection after one surgery, and then had an allergic reaction after a second surgery. 🔶 Ruidoso Downs takes another blow as severe flooding once again sweeps through area – Flooding in Ruidoso has once again impacted Ruidoso Downs Race Track, resulting in another blow to the community, which relies heavily on tourism. Central Ave. is shut down near 1st Street for work on a new bridge crossing. Bus routes will also be detoured while construction is ongoing. 🔶 Union wins court case against UNMH's communication over layoffs – The relationship between UNM Hospital and Health Care Union Members has been rocky at times. A recent court decision came down in favor of the workers regarding the hospital's lack of communication regarding layoffs in 2023. 🔶 Possible measles exposure in Bernalillo, Santa Fe and Sandoval counties – Two travelers were diagnosed with measles during their visit to New Mexico. According to VCFD, the fire may be human-caused. 🔶 U.S. Senate GOP bill could make millions of acres of public land in New Mexico 'eligible' for sale – A U.S. Senate Republican budget bill would sell off millions of acres of public land across the U.S. to developers, including more than 21,000 square miles in New Mexico. Some of that land encompasses Ski Santa Fe and the Sandia Mountains as well as areas of the Organ Mountains in Las Cruces. 🔶 Ruidoso looks back on the impact of the South Fork and Salt Fires – One year ago, fear and panic struck Ruidoso as a wildfire exploded. The entire village packed up what they could and left, with many coming back to nothing. The South Fork and Salt Fires left two dead, thousands of homes destroyed, and a long road to recovery. Now, a similar effort is emerging in Rio Rancho, sending health experts to some mental crisis calls. 🔶 Measles case reported in San Juan County – The New Mexico Department of Health confirmed a measles case in San Juan County. They say it is a child under the age of four with one dose of the vaccine who contracted the virus on a domestic flight. Even though the child got the virus outside the county, people may have been exposed at the San Juan Regional Medical Center emergency room on May 26 at 10:30 a.m. or May 27 at 4:15 a.m. Exposure may have occurred at the medical center's Health Partners Pediatrics Clinic last week from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday. 🔶 Researcher explains why earthquakes are rattling parts of New Mexico – While you may think earthquakes are a rarity in New Mexico, think again. The market is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 15 St. Patrick's Day Vendor Market – Join Hollow Spirits New Mexico for a fun-filled day of local shopping, community vibes, and festive cheer.
