Air ambulance called after child hit by car on busy road
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Tameside after a child was hit by a car. Police and paramedics were called to Droylsden Road, Audenshaw, following reports of the incident this afternoon (July 31).
An air ambulance was seen landing close to the scene. Greater Manchester Police confirmed it was called out to a collision involving a car and a child.
The child was taken to hospital. No arrests have been made so far, GMP says.

Part of the A662 Droylsden Road was closed off while emergency services responded to the incident, according to Google data.
Queues built up on surrounding roads, near to the Snipe retail park. Further details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.
