Al Jalila Foundation Joins Forces with UAE Charities to Expand Healthcare Support
In a significant step toward strengthening healthcare philanthropy, Al Jalila Foundation signed strategic agreements with five UAE-based charitable organisations during its annual donor recognition ceremony. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors. The memoranda of understanding, signed by Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, mark a unified effort to deliver medical services to vulnerable communities and support medical education and research. The agreements were formalised with leaders from Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society, Dubai Charity Association, Tarahum Charity Foundation, and Beit Al Khair Society. 'These partnerships ensure life-saving medical care reaches those most in need,' said Dr. Al Zarooni. 'Together, we strengthen our healthcare ecosystem and reinforce Dubai's global standing in philanthropic leadership.' Abdullah Al Falasi, CEO of Dar Al Ber Society, emphasised the alignment with the UAE's socially responsible vision, while Dubai Charity Association's Ahmed Al Suwaidi noted the collaboration supports the Dubai Charity Strategy. Dr. Ahmed Tahlek of Tarahum Charity Foundation highlighted the role of community-based initiatives, and Abdeen Al Awadhi of Beit Al Khair Society said the agreement reflects the UAE's commitment to compassion and public health. RTA's 20 Ramadan initiatives benefit 55,000 people across Dubai
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) successfully carried out 20 community initiatives during Ramadan 2025, reaching 55,000 people across the city. These initiatives aimed to support low-income families, delivery riders, truck drivers, public transport users, orphans, senior citizens, and people of determination. To mark the end of Ramadan, RTA organized the 'Eid Joy' initiative, distributing gifts and Eid money to workers, orphans, and senior citizens at Etisalat Metro Station. Cultural events and workshops for children were held in partnership with various organizations, reinforcing the spirit of giving and community cohesion. Among other key programs, the 'Iftar Saem' project provided meals to over 30,000 individuals in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association. Additionally, 5,000 metro station users benefited from various activities, and 1,000 Nol cards were distributed through the 'Ramadan Meer' initiative to help families in need. More than 350 RTA employees volunteered in these community programs, contributing over 1,500 hours of service. The initiatives were implemented in collaboration with Dubai Police, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, the Dubai Charity Association, Beit Al Khair Society, and private sector partners such as Noon Food and Keolis MHI. Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector at RTA, emphasized the impact of these efforts: 'RTA is keen to consolidate its pioneering role in supporting purposeful community initiatives that reflect the vision of our wise leadership to enhance social cohesion and instill the values of giving and humanitarian work.' These efforts align with the UAE's 'Year of Community', focusing on social responsibility, volunteerism, and sustainable initiatives. Dubai Customs serves 60,000 iftar meals, fostering community spirit at Ramadan tent
Dubai – As part of its commitment to social responsibility and promoting community solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, Dubai Customs launched its " Ramadan Tent," which is one of several community initiatives within its "The Best of Days" Ramadan campaign. Throughout the month, nearly 60,000 Iftar meals will be served at the tent, providing 2,000 meals daily to workers and individuals with limited incomes, in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association. This initiative reflects Dubai Customs' community-focused vision, aiming to support various groups and promote the concept of sustainable giving, especially during this month of generosity. The "Dubai Customs Ramadan Tent" is not just a place for Iftar, but also an opportunity to strengthen social connections and bring joy to the beneficiaries. Rashid Al Sharid, Executive Director, Administration and Finance Division at Dubai Customs, and Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO Dubai Charity Association, both joined the workers for Iftar. Al Sharid called on approved volunteer teams from other government entities to join Dubai Customs in supporting charitable and humanitarian efforts during Ramadan.
