Have you ever wanted to become an Oscar-winning film producer or director, but you only have your phone? If so, Screen Wexford have a free workshop, which will help you turn your phone into a powerful creative tool.
The workshop for beginners will take place on Wednesday, between 9.30am and 4pm, at the Rocket Science Media Centre in Wexford town.
Delivered in collaboration with the Dublin Smartphone Film Festival and supported by Wexford County Council and Wexford Arts Department, this one-day workshop will cover everything you need to know to start making short films using just your phone.
No experience is required and all you need to bring is creativity, energy and your smartphone. Participants will learn how to shoot cinematic footage with simple techniques, use professional kit including smartphone lenses and gimbals, an introduction to camera apps like the blackmagic camera app, how to plan, shoot and edit a short documentary on the day and how edit your footage directly on your phone using apps like capcut.
While the workshop is free of charge, places are limited, so early registration is essential. You can find out more by visiting
