Jodie Kidd nails riviera chic in white trousers and silk blouse as she joins suited Will Poulter at swanky Bombay Sapphire bash

Jodie Kidd looked chic in a silk blue blouse as she joined Will Poulter at the E1 London Showrun on Wednesday. The model and actress, 46, looked classy in the sleeveless top which she paired with high-waisted Holland and Cooper white trousers. She added in a pair of white leather trainers and accessorised with a black watch and a myriad of necklaces. Meanwhile Will, 32, looked incredible as he wore a Homme Plisse Issey Miyake two-piece suit, worth £1,180. The We're The Millers star layered his suit over a white T-shirt and a pair of white Nike trainers. The pair stepped out to celebrate the Bombay Sapphire's partnership with the UIM E1 World Championship, the world's first and only all-electric raceboat Championship. Jodie and Will enjoyed drinks from gin goblets while toasting the collaboration. Jodie was sure to put her model credentials on show at the bash where she put on a stunning display in the elegant ensemble. She posed for pictures in just her blouse and her shirt before later slipping into a blazer to complete the suited and booted look. The E1 RaceBirds appeared on the Thames for the first time where founders Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso first came up with the idea during a socially distanced run. E1 founder and Chief Executive Officer, Rodi Basso said: 'I'm humbled by this full-circle moment, seeing the E1 RaceBirds take flight on the Thames. 'With London being the birthplace of the idea for the Championship, it feels only right that the city gets to experience E1 firsthand for itself in such an iconic destination. 'Below the surface of E1's adrenaline-fuelled electric racing series lies a mission to promote the restoration and protecting of our coastal waters and ecosystems through cutting-edge clean technologies. 'Witnessing the innovative E1 RaceBirds on this famous waterway gives me great hope E1 can make as lasting impact and usher in a more sustainable future of marine transport through our pioneering technology.' E1 is currently around the mid-point of the seven-race 2025 season, with the London Showrun taking place off the back of a landmark partnership deal with Bombay Sapphire. Following the departure of the E1 RaceBirds from London, they will be migrating to Monaco, the iconic home of racing, for the Championship's fifth race. After that, the Championship will break new ground in Africa, with the lively coastline of Lagos hosting the penultimate race of the championship. The highly anticipated finale will take place in Miami, where one team will be crowned the 2025 'Champions of the Water'. Jodie's fiancé Joseph Bates was noticably missing from the event after the pair were spotted packing on the PDA in London earlier this year. Jodie and Joseph have been together for eight years, first being seen together in Barbados in October 2017, after she accompanied him on a disaster relief mission to Dominica after Hurricane Irma. The former marine and special forces soldier then popped the question four years later during a romantic trip to Paris. Confirming the happy news in December 2021, Jodie shared a photo flashing her sparkling ring while kissing Joseph in front of the Arc de Triomphe, with the caption: 'I said Yes'. It marks Jodie's third engagement, after splitting from her first husband, internet entrepreneur Aidan Butler, after 18 months in 2007 and second husband David Blakeley in 2015 after just four months. She is also mum to 13-year-old son, Indio, by her ex-partner, former Argentinian polo player Andrea Vianini, while Joseph also has a son from a previous relationship. However, the pair are yet to tie the knot four years on, previously admitting 'it's been a bit of a whirlwind the last couple of years'. Speaking to OK! in October, Jodie confessed the pair have still not set a date to become husband and wife as they are too busy. She said: 'Oh my God, it is going very slowly. Very slowly! Nothing is happening in the immediate future and not because I don't want it to, but I am just so busy. 'I think it would be too much trying to arrange a wedding right now. Hopefully, next year.' Revealing the secret to their long-standing romance, she explained: 'We've got just such a wonderful, balanced, supportive relationship. Those are the best ones. We always make time for date nights. We have a little date routine where we go to the cinema together. 'We have to run as a team, and we do that beautifully. We always make time for each other. We always try to do things together as much as we can. 'So, you know, if we're going on the school run, we'll do it together. Dinner time is really important. The whole family comes around the table and helps to cook, and we talk about our day, and have a laugh.' While Jodie added that their children have made them even closer, gushing: 'We've both got a son, so we just have to work as a team but they are intertwined literally. They're so beautiful as well.'

Powerboat racing-E1 seeks new stakeholder to fund growth with more boats

LONDON, July 1 (Reuters) - Electric powerboat racing's E1 World Championship is seeking 20 million euros ($23.55 million) of fresh capital to fund the growth of a series already backed by some of the biggest celebrities in sport and entertainment. Team owners include actor Will Smith, tennis great Rafa Nadal, NBA superstar LeBron James, seven-times NFL Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and former footballer Didier Drogba. Chief executive Rodi Basso told reporters on Tuesday the series wanted to expand from nine to 12 teams and 15 races from a current seven, adding venues in Asia and South America, and have a 500 million euro valuation by 2030. He was unable to provide a current valuation. "We're using Rothschild and Co. as an advisor and focal point. They have so far pitched our championship to, like, south of 50 family office VC (venture capital), all interested in sports," said Basso. "We so far had 20 management pitches, of which I think five went already to the second round. The target is by the Monaco race, which is 19 July, we should have more clarity on who's really interested." Basso said the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), investors in Formula E, Extreme H and E1 as part of an Electric 360 project, wanted to maintain their holding but not increase it. "They recognised if you get a strategic new stakeholder in the mix it could help the company to grow even better," he explained. "There's a lot of interest from the U.S. and 75% of the leisure boating market is from the U.S. and we have Tom Brady, Will Smith, Marc Anthony, Steve Aoki and LeBron James. We need to expand and explode in the U.S. "So if we have a strategic shareholder from there it will be very, very helpful." E1 has a 25-year exclusive licence from powerboating's global governing body, the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), and seeks to promote innovation in sustainable marine technology and coastal conservation. Basso said the new investment would fund a second set of boats to be kept in Singapore or Miami to minimise freight between races and allow sustainable expansion in the Far East and Americas. The RaceBird boats combine foil technology with advanced electric propulsion systems and can hit 93kph or 50 knots, with crews of male and female pilots. Team owners pay two million euros initially, which they can recoup through sponsorship, and an operational fee with E1 providing and owning the boats in a "show up and race" format. Teams run to between five and 10 people. The boats will appear on London's River Thames for the first time on Wednesday in an early morning show run. The next race is in Monaco, followed by Lagos and then a finale in Miami. ($1 = 0.8493 euros) (This story has been corrected to change pounds to euros after an official correction)

E1 Looks To Capture New Fans Through Roc Nation Team-Up

UIM E1 World Championship is partnering with Roc Nation to expand its fanbase. E1, the electrified raceboat equivalent of F1, known for its sustainability-first mission and its famous team owners like Tom Brady, LeBron James, and Rafael Nadal, is partnering with Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) to expand its global audience. According to the official launch release, the partnership will be focused on content creation, leveraging 'RSNI's cultural influence and talent ecosystem to showcase E1's purpose-driven ethos through compelling storytelling and creative campaigns.' The agreement between the two entities runs through the remainder of the 2025 season, which at the time of writing, includes races in Lago Maggiore, Monaco, Lagos, and Miami. 'Being different and challenging the status quo is embedded within the DNA of Roc Nation Sports International, and E1 aligns perfectly with that,' said Michael Yormark, President of RSNI. 'It's an electrifying, high-octane sport, yes, but it's so much more. It's a movement. It aligns perfectly with our ethos of innovation, cultural relevance, and impact. We saw the potential to not only expand the global audience for E1 but to also bring its powerful message of sustainability and cutting-edge technology to the forefront.' E1 and Roc Nation Partnership E1 will lean on RSNI's expertise and talent roster to transcend its traditional audience and reach potential fans. E1 athletes will also be incorporated into the wider RSNI entertainment ecosystem, giving them greater exposure and allowing for cross-pollination opportunities in the areas of lifestyle, music, and entertainment. 'Roc Nation Sports International gets what we're building here at E1 in terms of both the sport and the opportunity, ' said the on-water racing championship's CEO, Rodi Basso. 'We already have the technology, the talent, and the backing from major athletes. What RSNI brings is the understanding of how to find new audiences who don't even know they want to watch E1 racing yet.' There also seems to be alignment around environmental sustainability, an arena that is paramount to E1, whose founder, Alejandro Agag, recently won the Reuters Energy Transition Award for his exceptional dedication in promoting and facilitating the transition to net-zero. Speaking to me via video call from Lago Maggiore, Basso said, 'For sure, they are interested in this topic. They haven't dealt with it so much before, but within their roster of celebrities, some people are very passionate about oceans, lakes, and rivers.' Basso insisted that sustainability would be 'the first area we will start working with them on.' From his side, Yormark noted that, 'E1's commitment to being the world's first and only all-electric race boat championship is incredibly inspiring. It's a clear demonstration of how high-performance sport can coexist with environmental responsibility.' While they may have less experience with sustainability than the innovators over at E1, RSNI seems no less committed to promoting their mission. 'At Roc Nation Sports International, we believe in using our platform to drive positive change and inspire,' Yormark told me. 'Partnering with E1 allows us to amplify that message, showcasing how innovation can lead to a more sustainable future. We're not just about entertainment; we're about progress, and E1 is a prime example of that progress in action.' When asked exactly how RSNI would help elevate the E1 brand and expand their drive for environmental sustainability, Yormark said, 'RNSI will work with E1 to continue to build awareness of how purposeful and innovative this thrilling sport is, and to showcase this to new fan audiences.' E1 team owners like Tom Brady, Didier Drogba, Rafael Nadal, and Steve Woki have helped bring the ... More championship unprecedented exposure in just two seasons. E1's U.S. Presence Part of the reasoning behind E1's partnership with RNSI is their desire to increase their presence in North America. With five of their seven races in Europe and the Middle East, a physical presence in the U.S. is critical if the competition is going to garner greater awareness in the biggest sports market in the world. According to Basso, it is the expertise that RSNI brings in the U.S. market that makes it a particularly attractive partner. He said, 'We are already very excited about this partnership. It is based on the value of celebrity and the ability to generate value and content. We are very much U.S.-focused, and they [RSNI] are very competent in that market.' Basso also openly expressed the competition's plan to add more races in the U.S. and North America as a whole. He could not disclose which cities could be potential hosts, but did note that E1 is already in expansion conversations with several North American metropolises. Fans of the competition can expect more races off North American shores in the coming years. Ahead of the E1 season finale in Miami, both Basso and Yormark said fans can expect new and exciting market-specific content collaborations. Neither were able to provide specifics, but Yormark said, 'We're looking at unique content series featuring our talent immersing themselves in the E1 experience. The goal is to create authentic connections that resonate with a global audience and bring new eyes and ears to the incredible world of E1.' Basso said, meanwhile, that both teams are excited about the market prospects and are already discussing 'how to go for big brand exposure and activations for the Miami race.' Bringing E1 to Africa Expanding to the U.S. follows quickly on the coattails of E1's push into Africa. Earlier this season, E1 announced two new race locations: Dubrovnik, Croatia and Lagos, Nigeria. The latter is a step towards globalizing the sport and bringing technological innovation to the mother continent. Basso says the expansion into Africa is very important for a few reasons, most notably that it allows the brand to build a global competition that is inclusive. He explains that Team Drogba has been inspirational since joining the championship and was a pivotal actor in the push into African markets. As Basso explains, E1 is looking 'to contribute in their small way to accelerate Africa's technological evolution.' The expansion has been met with open arms by the regional government. The Mayor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also blessed the plan, with Basso noting, 'Sanwo-Olu is very excited to have E1 there.' So, for E1 and RNSI all of this means a new collaboration, a new continent, amplified sustainability messaging, and hopefully, many new fans.

Powerboat racing-DJ Aoki's team wins in Dubrovnik as Lebron claims first E1 podium

DJ Steve Aoki's electric raceboat team surged to victory in the Adriatic over the weekend, claiming their second win of the season and leapfrogging Rafa Nadal's outfit in the E1 championship standings. Former Formula 1 test driver Dani Clos, a new addition to Aoki Racing Team for 2025, took the chequered flag in a tight finish at the E1 Dubrovnik Grand Prix, with Team Brady securing second place and NBA superstar LeBron James celebrating his first podium finish with Team AlUla in third. The victory unfolded against the backdrop of Dubrovnik's historic walls, where thousands gathered for Croatia's debut on the UIM E1 World Championship calendar, the series dedicated to all-electric powerboat racing. The result intensified the rivalry between Aoki's team and Nadal's, which could only manage fourth place despite qualifying strongly. Both teams have emerged as the dominant forces in the 2025 season as they vie for the "Champions of the Water" title, to be decided in Miami in November. The championship, which features teams owned by global celebrities including actor Will Smith and former footballer Didier Drogba, now heads to Italy's Lake Maggiore in late June for the midpoint of the season. The E1 World Championship is the first all-electric raceboat series sanctioned by powerboating's global governing body, the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), and is designed to accelerate innovation in sustainable marine technology and coastal conservation.
