Congress MPs, who were protesting against the Special Intensive Revision of voter rolls in Bihar and the alleged voter fraud in various constituencies, on Tuesday (August 12, 2025), participated in the protest wearing a T-shirt bearing the face of a woman voter, Minta Devi.
Congress MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Gaurav Gogoi, were seen wearing a white T-shirt with the photo of Minta Devi, a woman named as a voter in Daraundha Assembly constituency as per the electoral rolls. Her age was mentioned as 124 years in the electoral roll.
Minta Devi, 124 years old.
Born when India had a Viceroy, still voting when we have Wi-Fi.
Either she's a time traveller… or our voter list is pure fiction.
This is the kind of data in our electoral rolls, @ECISVEEP.#VoteChori# — Mansoor Khan (@MansoorKhanINC) August 10, 2025
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had mentioned her name and the names of two other women who were claimed to be more than 100 years old, according to the electoral rolls, during his press conference on August 7, 2025.
The Congress has pointed out that the oldest living person according to the Guiness Book of World Records is Ethel Caterham from United Kingdom, who is 115 years old.
