New Honda Electric Motorcycle Teased Ahead Of September 2 Debut
Honda is all set to unveil its new electric motorcycle on September 2. Before the official event, the Japanese manufacturer has released a teaser on its UK social media handle showing the new electric two-wheeler. However, the teaser doesn't reveal much, as the bike is covered in camouflage. However, it looks like a rather evolved form of the EV Fun Concept showcased by the brand at the EICMA 2024. The teaser released by the manufacturer also gives a sneak peek at the TFT dash of the motorcycle along with the LED DRL, a design very similar to the EV Fun Concept. Other design details revealed by the teaser include a rather sharp design for the LED turn indicators and a short tail, hinting at a rather sporty design. Looking at the mechanical side, the bike gets a single-sided swingarm, USD front forks, and a rear monoshock. Along with this, the bike gets large rear disc brakes and what seems like 17-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli Rosso 3 tyres. Furthermore, the brand has revealed a humming sound that seems to be from the electric motor, confirming the bike's EV powertrain. If the electric motorcycle proves to be a production version of the EV Fun Concept, it will feature a fixed battery setup. As revealed by the brand earlier, it will be equivalent to a 500 cc motorcycle, hence giving a similar performance. If so, it might also receive rider aid features and the necessary technology to support its performance, including elements such as ride modes, traction control, and more. At the previous EICMA, Honda announced that the EV Fun Concept aims to provide quiet and vibration-free journeys. It incorporates a range of Honda's motorcycle technologies that enhance smooth turning and braking. The Concept features a CCS2 quick charger, adhering to the same standards utilized by cars. The cruising range for the EV Fun Concept was estimated to be approximately 100 km, which is adequate for urban requirements.

BMW F 450 GS latest spy shots reveal production-ready design: What to expect?
The BMW F 450 GS will be positioned as the company's entry-level adventure tourer in India, and the motorcycle is now nearing production. The latest spy shots from the Austria-based Motorrad Magazin offer a good look at the upcoming ADV featuring a production-ready guise that is nearly identical to the concept model previewed at EICMA 2024 in Italy and Auto Expo 2025 in India. On entering production, the F 450 GS will be made in India in collaboration with the TVS Motor Company. The F 450 GS adventure tourer has been spied testing a few times over the past year, with one heavily camouflaged test mule caught on the move in Karnataka. The latest spy shots paint a better picture of what we can expect. While the production-ready model carries a few changes over the F 450 GS Concept, it retains the overall silhouette. The quad-LED DRL setup with the GS badge has been replaced with a conventional, vertically stacked dual-LED headlamp, and there is a tall visor for added touring comfort. The aggressive tank and side panel design have been carried over from the concept model. Although the front-end has been revised, its design still echoes the influence of the flagship BMW R 1300 GS. The big change, however, is the tail section, which gets broader with a new rear subframe to accommodate a pillion seat. The exhaust features the same twin-pipe design, but the muffler has been lowered, possibly to accommodate additional equipment. This motor can make 48 bhp and is tuned for strong low-end torque output, making it suitable for technical off-road riding as well as city and highway use. BMW Motorrad says the new engine has a unique ignition offset, which is expected to deliver a high-revving, yet tractable powerband. The upcoming tourer is underpinned by a steel bridge trellis frame and a bolt-on rear sub-frame and features an aluminium swing-arm with a central spring strut. It is equipped with upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. The front forks will feature some degree of adjustability, but the production-ready version loses a bit of suspension travel at both ends when compared to the concept model. The F 450 GS allows for a relaxed riding posture with high-set handlebars and footpegs positioned neutrally. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminium alloys, but BMW is expected to offer wire-spoked rims wrapped in tubeless tyres at launch. BMW F 450 GS: Expected features BMW has fitted the F 450 GS with a 6.5-inch TFT cluster that allows for smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for media controls and navigation (Motorrad Magazin) The F 450 GS will come equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument display that offers full Bluetooth connectivity. This unit enables smartphone connectivity for call and message notifications, media playback control, and turn-by-turn navigation. The adventure tourer will further feature lean-sensitive ABS, enhancing safety during cornering, along with three riding modes that can be freely configured based on the rider's terrain and performance preferences. Another expected highlight is the addition of a semi-automatic transmission system that will relieve riders of having to operate the clutch while changing gears. While not much is known about this, it is expected to be offered as an option. While official pricing details are not available, the motorcycle is expected to be launched in multiple variants, offering varying levels of rider aids and accessories. TVS has confirmed that the 450 platform and technology will be shared with BMW and Norton Check Offers TVS Motor Company is looking to diversify its premium motorcycle product range and will soon bring a new lineup of motorcycles powered by the 450 cc engine. TVS Motor's current Managing Director and soon-to-be Chairman, Sudarshan Venu, confirmed the development in a recent interview with CNBC TV-18. The top boss revealed that the technology and platform sharing will extend between BMW, TVS, and Norton. The 450 cc parallel-twin motor was first showcased on the BMW F 450 GS concept at EICMA 2024, and could soon spawn TVS and Norton products. New 450 cc TVS Motorcycles Coming Soon The upcoming 450 cc twin-cylinder engine is said to be jointly developed by TVS and BMW Motorrad, much like the 310 cc platform that powers the TVS Apache RR 310. Both brands also collaborated on a new EV platform. The new 450 platform is likely to be made in India and will power the production version of the BMW F 450 GS, set to arrive globally later this year. The BMW F 450 GS Concept was first showcased at EICMA 2024 drawing power from a 450 cc parallel-twin motor, which has been co-developed with TVS Meanwhile, the upcoming TVS 450 could be a full-faired motorcycle under the Apache name as the brand's new flagship, possibly called the TVS Apache RR 450. That said, there's no word yet on what the upcoming 450 cc TVS will be. The Indian two-wheeler giant will be moving to the twin-cylinder league, as a result, moving up not the power, performance, and price ladder. The upcoming TVS 450 cc bike will rival the made-in-India Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457 in the segment. Plans For Norton Motorcycles TVS previously confirmed plans to bring the Norton brand to India, the British premium motorcycle maker it acquired, towards the end of the year. The company is likely to first introduce the Norton V4SV to the market, followed by four other offerings in the first half of 2026. Sales will begin across the UK, India, and other parts of Europe. Production for the Norton bikes will start at 10,000 units per month in the first phase. The same 450 cc parallel-twin motor could power the future Norton offerings, which will help the brand position itself differently. Sudarshan Venu also hinted at different dealerships for Norton and premium TVS products, which should offer a more refined purchase experience to customers. Notably, Hero MotoCorp has implemented something similar with the Premia showrooms, bringing its premium bikes, Vida, and the Harley-Davidson X440 under one roof. Honda already does the same via the Big Wing dealerships. TVS is also developing a new range of motorcycles with the 300 cc RT-XD4 engine that will reportedly power an adventure tourer and supermoto Upcoming EV launches In the EV space, TVS plans to introduce an electric bike at a later date, while a new electric scooter is also said to be in the works. Moreover, the brand will launch an improved version of the iQube later this year. Not just new 450s, but TVS is also working on a new 300 cc range. The TVS Apache RTX 300 was showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo this year. The brand also has a new adventure tourer in the works, which could use the same RT-XD4 powertrain, showcased in December last year. The motor will belt out around 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm of peak torque, and could power more motorcycles going forward. Check out Upcoming Bikes In India. First Published Date: 06 Jun 2025, 17:31 PM IST

TVS is reportedly working on a new 450cc bike for the Indian market. While exact details are awaited, reports suggest that the Indian two-wheeler maker is planning to launch the bike soon. The new 450cc power unit was showcased for the first time at EICMA 2024 and is based on the brand's 450-twin platform. BMW F 450 GS Reports also suggest that the 450cc engine is a projected joint work by BMW Motorrad and TVS, as part of their collaboration. Previously, the BMW F 450 GS has been snapped testing on Indian roads recently and is going to be the first motorcycle to feature this new 450cc power unit. It is expected that TVS will follow the Apache nomenclature for its 450cc bike, probably the TVS Apache RR 450, as with the Apache RR 310. However, the exact name of the upcoming bike can not be claimed yet. Though it will have similar components as the 310cc unit, the 450cc supersport bike will be slotted above the Apache 310 RR. Also, the 310cc engine, seen on the TVS Apache RR 310, has been jointly developed by the Indian brand and BMW Motorrad. Though the upcoming TVS will equip this same unit, there are a few design and tuning changes expected to suit its supersport dynamics. Also, Norton is going to borrow the same engine as its power unit, likely with a different tuning. Other reports also suggest that TVS is also working to diversify its two-wheeler segment with the launch of a new electric scooter for the Indian market, the details of which are still under wraps.
