Without a doubt, Eddie Kingston is one of the most beloved wrestlers on the AEW roster.

A classic everyman bruiser, Kingston spent nearly two decades on the independent scene before making his AEW debut on July 22, 2020.
Kingston has since gone on to become a fan favorite, delivering hard-hitting classic matches as well as emotional promos that are among the best in the business.
Unfortunately, Kingston has been missing from the squared circle since May 2024 when he suffered an injury that required surgery on a torn ACL and meniscus.
Now, the Mad King has given an update about when he'll be able to come back to wrestling. Unfortunately, it may be a while yet.

Speaking recently with Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Kingston got candid about not being able to get in the ring just yet. However, he seemed to be optimistic regarding what the future holds.
"I am not there," Kingston admitted. "I have started running in the ring. I am still doing physical therapy and I am mentally better. Yet again, as people know, it's a struggle, but being able to be in the ring again and work out with PT and working out with Cezar [Bononi] is helping my mental health, let alone my body. I can finally feel the ball is moving in the right direction."

Kingston has been wrestling professionally since 2002, performing with promotions like Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Ring of Honor (ROH), Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and more.
In 2020, Kingston debuted with AEW and has had multiple classic feuds and matches since, including with the likes of Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli.
His most notable tenure came when he simultaneously held the AEW Continental Championship, the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship, and the ROH World Championship.
Kingston has also held the CZW World Heavyweight Championship and the Chikara Grand Championship.
