Queen star's daughter 'splits' from husband after four years of marriage

Queen drummer Roger Taylor is reportedly supporting his daughter Rory after she and her husband separated following their lavish marriage in 2021 that saw Brian May turn up via helicopter Queen star Roger Taylor is reportedly facing a difficult time in his family after his daughter Rory has separated from her husband. While Queen drummer Roger and his wife Sarina Potgieter have been married for 15 years, Rory is said to have had less success in her marriage having only tied the knot in 2021. Rory, who works as a doctor, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony which saw Roger and all of his band mates in attendance. ‌ Her reported estranged husband, Rory Hoddell, is a travel guru who makes his living by arranging luxury ski holidays for his rich and elite client base. The couple already shared one son when they got married, Buddy, and have since welcomed another child to the family. ‌ An insider close to the family has claimed that they are struggling to deal with the break up and that it is taking its toll on the children. They told Eden Confidential: "It's terribly sad. Despite her starry background, Rory is very down to earth. They are finding their split hard, particularly for their children." At their wedding - which took place in Mawnan Smith, Cornwall - Rory's half-sisters Lola and the model Tigerlily Taylor acted as bridesmaids. Despite Rory's apparent down to earth outlook, Queen guitarist Brian May did turn up at the nuptials in true Rockstar fashion, arriving in a helicopter. The rocker's aircraft landed in the middle of a cricket pitch, drawing play on the green area to a halt as he disembarked his lavish ride. Despite her musical connections, Rory opted for a folk band to play the music that entertained guests on her big day. Roger shares Rory, 39, and her older brother Felix, 45, with his first wife, French bereavement counsellor Dominique Beyrand. He is also dad to three more children with model Debbie Leng, who starred in Queen's Breakthru video. ‌ The couple are parents to son Rufus, who works as a drummer for The Darkness and a touring musician for Queen + Adam Lambert, as well as daughters Tigerlily and Lola. ‌ While her half-brother chose to follow in his father's footsteps with a career in music, Rory has previously admitted that she avoided working in showbusiness like her dad. She said: "I knew that I wanted to help people, so I studied medicine and qualified as a GP in 2011. There's a lot of pressure in a job like this, and very long hours, but I love it, and Dad has always been so supportive." During the Covid-19 pandemic Roger, 75, admitted he was concerned about Rory because of her line of work. She is employed as a GP in West London and worried her father as she continued to see and treat patients during the strict measures that were in place to safeguard people from the disease.

And in this clip, I'm actually eight and a half months pregnant." Fallon, 50, jumped in with surprise, saying, "Are you serious?" The actress elaborated, "I'm serious. Yes. And I have to say, I was taken such good care of. Everyone was so supportive and they were like, 'Oh, you can sit down, and we'll have a stunt double do it.' And I was like, 'No! I've worked too hard. Let me do it.' So I did it, and here it is." Atwell has appeared in the Mission: Impossible franchise as IMF agent Grace since 2023. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is the long-running action franchise's eighth and final installment. Atwell quietly welcomed her first child with her partner Ned Wolfgang Kelly in 2024. Kate Winslet's daughter Mia Threapleton has hit out at nepo baby 'misconceptions'

Mia Threapleton has hit out at the "misconception" she's a 'nepo baby'. The 24-year-old star - whose first major acting role came alongside her mother Kate Winslet in 'I Am Ruth' - has insisted despite being the daughter of Kate and filmmaker Jim Threapleton, she didn't spend her childhood growing up on movie sets. She's quoted by the Daily Mail newspaper's Eden Confidential column as saying: "I feel like it's a misconception about me, considering who my mother is, that I grew up going to set or that I would know anything about this world because of her and what she does. "That is not the case at all. I genuinely can count on not even two hands the amount of times I went to set as a kid. "There were never scripts lying around the house." Mia previously explained how she "never actually spent much time around sets" her mother was working on. She told Variety: "It was always a special treat. It's a very different experience when it is happening to you, and not just something I was getting to observe from time to time. "I really understand why my mum has always impressed on us how hard the work is. She is right! And I loved every second of it." Meanwhile, Kate - who previously pointed out that her daughter's "different surname" means that she often escapes the 'nepo baby' claims - is proud of how determined Mia has been. During a previous appearance on ITV daytime show 'Lorraine' in the UK, the 'Titanic' star said: "As far as performance, she didn't need me at all. There are even moments where she'd look at me and go, 'Shut up Mum, let me do it!' "It was really amazing working alongside her and actually being blown away by her courage… she's very, very powerful. "I think this young generation of actors, I have to say there is a naturalism to their acting and they're just braver."

Meghan Markle Finally Addresses Prince Harry Divorce Rumors: ‘I Feel That…

If there's one Royal couple that seems to be going strong, it's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Even as rumors swirl about Prince William and Kate Middleton's marriage and reports speculate on the state of Prince Harry's relationship with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William, one thing remains steady: his marriage. Markle herself confirmed this during an episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show. While talking about her relationship with her husband, she was clear that despite months of speculation about divorce, the two were doing just fine. Lima relayed one of Prince Harry's recent comments about Markle, 'I'm so happy for my wife and fully support absolutely everything she's done and continues to do.' Markle, who hadn't heard the comment, had this to say in response. 'He's such a great partner. I feel that every day in how supportive he's been and is, but I didn't know he said that, so that's really nice,' she said. 'That man loves me so much and, you know, look what we've built. We've built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children.' She continued, 'I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers and you get to the final final level, and what's the goal in Super Mario Brothers? Slay the dragon, save the princess. I'm like, that's my husband. He's just out there constantly… going to do whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected and uplifted, and still make time for date nights.' But that's not all, because Markle went as far as to say that their relationship is just as strong now as it was when it started, albeit in a different way. 'You have to imagine, at the beginning, everyone has butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating,' she said. 'So now, seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way, and that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now.' She's not the only one convinced, either. Even if other people might not see their relationship as romantically as Meghan is describing it. Former royal butler Paul Burrell, who once worked closely with Princess Diana, also doesn't think the two will get divorced. He told Daily Mail's Eden Confidential column: 'Despite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much.' Burell also said the two had found a 'balance' which works both for their marriage and brand, and that he believes the couple share 'a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible.' Markle recently launched a lifestyle brand and a new Netflix show, titled With Love, Meghan. The show has already been renewed for a Season 2. The couple also has an overall deal with the streamer. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also have a non-profit, the Archwell Foundation. Not exactly the same sentiment as Meghan's words, but the same end result. No one's expecting a divorce from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which is at least a different sentiment than the rumors swirling around other royals. One happy couple is something, at least. EXCLUSIVE RICHARD EDEN: Kate and William's new hire will horrify Meghan. I've never told the full story of how I exposed her worrying behaviour

When Meghan Markle became engaged to Prince Harry, she was warmly welcomed into the Royal Family – and by the British public generally. Thousands lined the streets of Windsor on that sunny day in May 2018 when the couple exchanged vows at St George's Chapel. The media, meanwhile, gushed about how the beautiful, mixed-race actress from America would breathe new life into the ancient institution that is the British monarchy. So, I was surprised later that year when I started to hear whispers that all was not well behind the scenes. Keen to avoid bursting the bubble of positivity that surrounded Meghan and Harry, who was at that time the most popular of all the royals, I didn't publish anything in my social diary, Eden Confidential, until rumours of discord became hard fact. In November 2018, I received a tip that Meghan's personal assistant, Melissa Toubati, had suddenly quit just six months after the royal wedding, which she had helped organise. 'It's a real shock,' a source told me at the time. 'Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?' Officials usually decline to discuss staffing matters, so I was taken aback when a senior source at the Palace chose to praise the assistant publicly. 'Melissa is a hugely talented person,' said the source. 'She played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding and will be missed by everyone in the Royal Household.' For someone to go out of their way to pay such fulsome tribute suggested that Melissa's colleagues were not happy with her departure. And the fact she left so suddenly raised questions about the reasons for her exit. Indeed, it later emerged in a leaked email that Jason Knauf, who was communications secretary to both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Prince William and Catherine, had written to Simon Case, William's then private secretary, in 2018 to say: 'I am very concerned that the duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. 'The treatment of X was totally unacceptable.' He added: 'The duchess seems intent on having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y.' The names of 'X' and 'Y' were never made public. Melissa's exit proved to be the first of many departures from Harry and Meghan's staff in the years that followed. It's been hard to keep track, but the total number of employees the Sussexes have lost since they married in 2018 is thought to be about 20, with around ten having left since Harry and Meghan moved to California two years later after quitting royal duties. Knauf stopped working for the Sussexes in 2019 but continued to be employed by William and Catherine for another three years before he moved abroad. Last week, Knauf was named the next chief executive of the Earthshot Prize, William's flagship environmental project. The appointment comes just a few weeks since Knauf spoke publicly for the first time about the leaked 2018 email in which he accused the duchess of 'bullying staff out of the royal household' and said he had 'no regrets' about his claims. Asked by Australia's 60 Minutes television show if he would have done anything differently, Knauf said: 'No.' William's decision to hand Knauf such an important role will no doubt horrify Harry and Meghan. But that will not worry the heir to the throne, to whom the Sussexes are increasingly irrelevant ghosts from the past. This Earthshot appointment is clear evidence, if it were needed, that William has no plans for a reunion with his brother and sister-in-law any time soon.
