For actor Eijaz Khan, Eid means food, family and cherished memories
For me, Eid is about valuing relationships in life,' shares actor Eijaz Khan. He believes festivals bring families together. 'When you lose people in life, you tend to value festivities more; it's only then we truly get to be with our loved ones. Otherwise, everyone is busy in their own 'race''. 'Eid always brings overwhelming and emotional moments in abundance,' Eijaz continues. 'Even though you don't have people around you, like I lost my mum, I still miss her. Or my sister Suriya, who lives in Saudi, but we never forget to call her on the festivities.' This year the actor will have extended Eid-al-Adha festivities: 'One of my nieces is going to France for studies, so I've planned an after-Eid party on Sunday. That way, none of us can make the excuse of being busy with work. Also, I am travelling to be with my sister and her kids. I'll be in festive and family mode from Eid until July.' He credits his diverse roots for his Eid special dastarkhwan being a mix of the best delicacies. 'From Hyderabad, Solapur to Mumbai, you will find everything on our Eid special platter, courtesy of my chachi, my abba, and my brother, who are our family chefs. Among all recipes, my favourite is chari daal with khopra (coconut) chutney and shami kebabs with a curd filling. My mouth waters just thinking about the food. I try to be in the kitchen with them throughout, so I know how much effort it takes to prepare all these delicacies

Eijaz Khan calls the cancellation of Adrishyam 2 midway a ‘shocker', admits going through a ‘lull' in his career
Actor Eijaz Khan, who was thrilled to be back with his web series Adrishyam 2 which released last month, was disappointed when the show was halted after only six episodes. Speaking to us, the actor mentions, how the viewers had expected a richer offering—more episodes, but felt disappointed with the sudden change. 'No one was expecting the show to be cut short in the middle. It was a shocker for the cast too. The discussions are still ongoing with the producers and channel, and there's a possibility that the show might be revived. If that happens, I think everyone will be happy,' he says, lamenting the uncertainty of the show's future. Despite the inconsistency in his projects, Eijaz feels fortunate, as while many struggled for work post-COVID, he had back-to-back opportunities. The actor was seen in Jawan (2023), Adrishyam, City of Dreams Season 3 and Dhoom Dhaam, which released earlier this year. However, he acknowledges that he is currently experiencing a lull in his career. 'I am just an actor who is trying to act,' says Eijaz, adding, 'I was supposed to start shooting for City of Dreams Season 4, but it's been postponed. And in my 20 years in this business, 99.9% of postponed projects never come back. That's just how it is.'

Shubhangi Atre on venturing into OTT: I've received a couple of offers…
In recent times, several television actors such as Eijaz Khan, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Karan Tacker have made a successful transition to OTT platforms — proving that the digital medium welcomes talent from all corners. Actor Shubhangi Atre, best known for her portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi in the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, shares that while she's keen to explore the digital space, her current commitments keep her rooted in television. 'I've received a couple of OTT offers, and interestingly, all of them were thrillers,' she reveals, 'But I couldn't take them up because of my dedication to my ongoing TV show.' Having spent nearly 18 years in the entertainment industry, Shubhangi says the desire to explore new platforms is strong. Also Read: Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actor Shubhangi Atre's ex-husband dies, she says: Give me some time to talk about this 'Bhabiji has given me everything — name, fame, love — but I'd love to do a finite OTT series, something I can balance alongside my television work,' she shares, adding, 'OTT has grown tremendously over the years, and TV actors are now being offered good projects on both digital and film platforms.' Reflecting on the changing dynamics of the industry, she adds, 'There was a time when TV actors were seen as a notch below Bollywood stars. But things have changed. Now even big film actors are venturing into television. So yes, I'm eager to explore newer mediums.' However, she's quick to clarify that she doesn't feel restricted by her television career. 'I don't feel stuck at all,' she asserts. 'But as an actor, I'm always looking to push boundaries. Believe me, comedy is no cakewalk. It's not just about meeting the audience's expectations — I have to meet my own too. Getting the punchline, the timing, the expressions just right takes real skill.' The actor believes juggling television and OTT work is possible — with the right planning: 'It's all about time management. I'm a single parent, and with my daughter now settled abroad, my complete focus is on work.'

Eijaz Khan's new Mahindra Thar Roxx is finished in white and the actor has named his prized possession White Fang. Actor Eijaz Khan, known for his roles in movies like Tanu Weds Manu and Jawan, recently brought home the new Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 Check Offers Actor Eijaz Khan, popular for his roles in television and films, has brought home the new Mahindra Thar Roxx five-door SUV. The actor recently took to his social media handle on Instagram to share a glimpse of the delivery day. Khan's new prized possession is finished in white and the actor revealed the name for his Mahindra Thar Roxx as "White Fang." Mahindra Thar Roxx Engine Eijaz Khan has opted for the diesel version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx that comes equipped with the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine in the top-spec trim with 4x4 functionality. The oil burner produces 172 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter. The actor has opted for the latter. The latest option aimed to bring more practicality to the cabin, as opposed to the all white ones, which would be more difficult to maintain in the long term. Mahindra also offers the Thar Roxx with the option of a Mocha Brown interior that brings a brown and black dual-tone theme. Mahindra Thar Roxx Features On the feature front, the Thar Roxx is loaded to the gills and comes with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats with leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon sound system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console and infotainment system each, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The safety features are equally extensive with six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, ESC, and Level 2 ADAS. The Thar Roxx received a full five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The model not only makes for a rugged off-roader but also serves the duties of a family car. Mahindra garnered over 1.76 lakh bookings for the Thar Roxx soon after order books opened. It is working on increasing production to meet the demand. The company recently announced its plans to increase the production capacity for the Thar Roxx and XUV 3XO by 3,000 units in FY2026. In related news, Mahindra recently inaugurated its largest dealership in South India. The new Automotive Manufacturers (AMPL) Mahindra dealership in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh, is a 3S facility (Sales, Service, & Spares). The new facility is spread over 1.03 lakh and can display 14 vehicles together including passenger and commercial.
