Alberto Del Rio Attacks Production Crew On Mexican TV Show
Alberto Del Rio continues to find himself in the headlines ahead of his AAA Mega Championship defense this weekend against El Hijo del Vikingo. This week on Venga La Alegria, a talk show that airs in Mexico, an angle for this weekend's AAA match between Alberto Del Rio (El Patron) and El Hijo del Vikingo took place. In a fit of rage, Del Rio attacked Vikingo's father and multiple members of the show's production crew. Advertisement While some online had reported this as a shoot, this was 100% scripted and meant to build interest in his title defense against Vikingo this weekend. You can check out a video of the incident in the embedded post below: WWE has already spoiled the result of Del Rio's match this weekend While Alberto Del Rio's title defense hasn't happened yet, WWE has already spoiled the result. WWE Worlds Collide 2025: AAA and TNA stars set to bring global flair to the ring
Wrestling fans can gear up for an exciting summer as WWE prepares for its upcoming Worlds Collide event on June 7, 2025. In a recent report from WrestleVotes, WWE is expected to feature several top talents from Mexico's famed lucha libre promotion AAA, alongside notable stars from TNA Wrestling, promising a truly international wrestling spectacle. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now AAA stars to shine at Worlds Collide According to sources within WWE's creative team, multiple AAA wrestlers have been 'penciled in' for the event, marking a continuation of WWE's recent collaborative approach with other wrestling promotions. The line-up is packed with high-flying and dynamic luchadores including Aerostar, Chik Tormenta, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., El Hijo del Vikingo, Laredo Kid, Mr. Iguana, Octagon Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown. Fans familiar with AAA will recognize these names as some of the promotion's biggest draws, known for their thrilling in-ring style and vibrant personas. Alongside these Mexican stars, WWE will also showcase talent from TNA Wrestling, confirming appearances from Joe Hendry, The Nemeth Brothers (Ryan and Nic Nemeth), and Moose. This diverse blend of wrestling styles is expected to offer a fresh and energetic experience for fans, highlighting the growing trend of cross-promotional partnerships within the wrestling world. Alberto Del Rio 's absence sparks speculation One name notably missing from the AAA roster for this event is Alberto Del Rio, a former WWE star and major figure in Mexican wrestling. While Del Rio remains under contract with AAA, he is not slated to appear at Worlds Collide. Recent reports suggest WWE's hesitation to involve him due to past controversies and the sensitive nature of his previous departure from WWE. Del Rio is still active in AAA and scheduled to compete in a high-profile match against El Hijo del Vikingo shortly before the WWE event. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now This separation of booking reflects WWE's cautious approach in integrating AAA's talent roster post-acquisition. With Worlds Collide set to take place in early June, fans can look forward to a unique wrestling event where lucha libre's fast-paced action and TNA's powerhouse style collide under the WWE banner. The event promises thrilling matches and new rivalries, as WWE continues to broaden its global footprint. Stay tuned for official announcements and match cards as the countdown to June 7 begins.
