Cher's Troubled Son Served Divorce Papers Demanding Support Days After Looking Disheveled in L.A.

's troubled son, Elijah Blue Allman, was served legal papers by his estranged wife days after being spotted looking disheveled at a Hollywood hot spot, In Touch can exclusively report. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, last week, Elijah's ex, Marieangela King Allman, notified the court she had him personally served on May 17 at 5:50 p.m. at a three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in North Hollywood, California, worth an estimated $1 million. Marieangela filed for divorce from Elijah, 48, on April 8 in Los Angeles Superior Court. She listed the date of marriage as December 1, 2013, and the date of separation as March 31. The exes have been married 11 years and three months, according to the filing. In her petition, obtained by In Touch, Marieangela said they had no children. She cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split. Marieangela demanded Elijah pay her spousal support and his ability to collect any support be cut off. She asked that the spousal support be paid retroactive to the date of the filing, 'with credit for any funds voluntarily paid.' She requested $6,000 per month in temporary spousal support based on the 'marital standard and ability for [Elijah] to pay.' Marieangela also asked for exclusive use of the home they shared their 2017 Toyota Prius V. She said if Elijah kept the car, she requested an additional $2,000 one-time payment and an additional $500 per month in spousal support for a car. Marieangela asked the court to order Elijah to cough up another $10,000 to pay for her legal fees. 'if the parties settle this matter before these funds are expended, [Elijah] shall receive the balance of the retainers, if any. If attorney fees and expert fees are expended, [Elijah] will pay all additional fees for both him and [Angelamarie] through entry of final judgment,' her petition requested. "We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I'll always cherish. I know we'll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart," Marieangela told People about the split. She ended, "As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding." Elijah previously filed for divorce from Marieangela in 2021. He dismissed the case in early 2024 amid his court battle with his mom, Cher, 78. Cher rushed to court in late 2023 pleading for a conservatorship over Elijah. Elijah's dad is Cher's musician ex, Gregg Allman, who died in 2017. 'Elijah is substantially unable to manage his financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues,' Cher's filing read. 'Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from a trust established by his father for his benefit, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, [Cher] is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk,' her lawyer added. Cher told the court that her son had been paid over a million dollars from his father's estate but did not have a savings. The legendary pop star called out her son's wife, Marieangela. Her lawyer alleged Marieangela, 'is not supportive of Elijah's recovery and that Angela actively works to keep Elijah from getting clean and sober or receiving mental health treatment that he desperately needs.' The petition added, 'Most recently, [Cher] is informed and believes that Angela took steps to check Elijah out of the treatment center where he was receiving much-needed medical care.' Maireangela scoffed at the claims in court. At the time, she said, 'We live together as a married couple and I see the irrefutable daily effort he is making to stay sober. He attends AA meetings 5-6 times a week, he is free of drugs." She added, "He is tending to his finances, getting his bills paid, and ensuring that his property is under his control.' Marieangela claimed Cher was not fit to serve as conservator and accused her of being unable to manage her 'own affairs.' For his part, Elijah opposed his mom's request to place him under a conservatorship. He argued he had been clean for several months and did not need his mom controlling his life. In late 2024, Cher dismissed her request for a conservatorship after reaching a deal with her son. On May 9, Page Six posted photos of Elijah looking a disheveled outside Chateau Marmont. The outlet reported Cher's son exhibited 'concerning behavior' at the Hollywood hot spot. Elijah was seen with 'swollen ankles and wore a single red acrylic fingernail on his right ring finger,' the outlet reported. Elijah has yet to respond to Marieangela's divorce petition.

Elijah Blue Allman ‘Agrees' With Mom Cher: Divorce From Marieangela ‘Queenie' King ‘Is for the Best'

Cher and son Elijah Blue Allman have experienced their share of drama throughout the years, but a source exclusively tells In Touch she's making it perfectly clear that when it comes to his impending, likely messy divorce from estranged wife Marieangela King, she's in his corner 100 percent and ready to throw her weight behind any legal dispute. 'Cher is absolutely thrilled that this divorce is happening,' the insider reveals. 'She's convinced that without Marieangela in his life, Elijah will finally get it back together.' Elijah, 48, the only child of Cher, 78, and her late ex-husband, Gregg Allman, originally filed for divorce from from Marieangela in 2021. After a period of reconciliation, he asked a judge to grant a divorce dismissal for that filing, which the court obliged in February 2024. The reunion wasn't to last, as the 37-year-old singer, known professionally as Queenie, filed for divorce this time against her husband on April 8, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking $6,000 per month in spousal support. "We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I'll always cherish. I know we'll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart," Marieangela told People of the split. "As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding." The couple married in 2013 and pretty much the entirety of their nearly 13 years together was fraught with drama. Mom Cher did not approve in the slightest. In fact, the insider notes she's so thrilled to be getting Marieangela out of Elijah's life once and for all she's willing to foot the bill for the separation. 'She's more than happy to pay for his divorce lawyers,' the source says. 'She'll be paying the settlement too, which isn't making her happy, but right now she's just focusing on supporting Elijah and keeping him strong through this break-up.' The 'Believe' singer was incensed after Elijah changed his mind about the divorce and decided to mend fences with his wife two years before. She even filed an ex parte motion that he be placed in a temporary emergency conservatorship due to his alleged mental health and substance abuse issues in late 2023, which was denied. Now that divorce is looking more real than ever, the source says the Goddess of Pop is just glad to have her son back and is working on providing whatever he needs to move past this particularly nasty chapter of his life. 'She's spending a lot of time with him, she's gone into full mother hen mode. They're getting massages and other spa treatments together to fully relax,' the insider explains. 'She has her energy healer working on him, too. He's staying with her and getting fully pampered.' 'She is over the moon to have this chance to bond with him and be his mom again. She is very maternal and shines in a crisis.' 'Elijah actually seems to be on really good behavior,' the source notes. 'He's sad his marriage is ending, but he seems to agree with his mom — that this is for the best. Now he just wants it to be over as quickly as possible.'

Cher's son Elijah Blue Allman disheveled with fake nail, sores at LA hotspot after singer sounded alarm on his ‘mental health'

Cher's 48-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, was recently spotted looking worse for wear following the end of his ugly conservatorship battle with his superstar mom. Allman, whose father was the late Southern rockstar Gregg Allman, was caught on camera smoking a cigarette outside the famous Chateau Marmont hotel on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, Calif., this week. His clothes were in tatters, per a video first obtained by Daily Mail, and he struggled to stand up straight as he stumbled around the exclusive Hollywood hotspot. Allman, who had a long, nail-polished fingernail on his right hand, was also seen staring off vacantly before shakily wandering back into the famed hotel. The Post reached out to Cher's rep for comment. The disturbing footage of Cher's adult son comes months after the 'Believe' singer, 78, and Allman ended their bitter conservatorship battle. Cher first applied to place her son in a conservatorship in December 2023, claiming he could not 'substantially manage his own financial resources' because of 'severe mental health and substance abuse issues.' 'Any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk,' the legal documents stated. She also claimed that Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, was a bad influence on her son and actively worked against her efforts to get him help. The battle became so intense that King, 37, accused the Goddess of Pop of hiring four men to kidnap Allman to send him to a rehab facility. But Cher denied King's kidnapping allegations and told The Post at the time, 'I didn't do it, and if I did it, I wouldn't say I did it.' The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' singer ultimately dismissed the conservatorship case in September 2024. 'The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition,' Allman's lawyers told People following the dismissal. 'This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond,' they added, 'a process that began during mediation and continues today.' In April, King filed for divorce from Allman, citing irreconcilable differences. She marked their date of separation as March 31, 2025. 'We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I'll always cherish,' she said after filing for divorce. 'I know we'll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart.' 'As we turn the page to this next chapter,' she added, 'we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding.' King also requested $6K per month in temporary spousal support and the family vehicle: a 2017 Toyota Prius.

Disturbing footage of star's son at Hollywood hotspot

Singer Cher's adult son Elijah Blue Allman has been spotted in worrying footage, appearing disorientated outside the exclusive Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont. The dishevelled musician could be seen in standing unsteadily against a wall outside the hotel, his clothes tattered and stained as he stared off vacantly. Allman, 48, is the son of Cher and the late rock star Greg Allman, who died in 2017. In recent years, his fractious relationship with his mother has made headlines as Cher attempted to gain conservatorship over her troubled son's affairs, including his finances. Cher applied in 2023 for a conservatorship because she claimed Mr Allman could not properly take care of himself or 'manage his own financial resources' because of his alleged struggles with drug abuse. 'Any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk,' she wrote in documents proposing the conservatorship. But Cher, who turns 79 this month, ended her attempts to gain control of her son's finances in September last year. 'The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition,' Mr Allman's lawyers told People magazine of the court outcome last September. 'This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today.' Cher's lawyers had previously stated that her son's 'current mental and physical health issues' leave him 'unable to form or express a preference' concerning the appointment of a conservator for his estate. Cher also claimed that Mr Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, had been a destructive presence in her son's life and is actively working against her efforts to give her son the help he needs with his addiction issues. However, in a response to his mothers' application, Mr Allman said while he had indeed 'struggled with addiction and spent money in ways that have not always been the most responsible,' he was now 'clean and sober'.
