He was arrested by Noida Police and a case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. A day after his arrest, NDTV claimed Elvish had admitted to his crimes. A week later, Yadav was granted bail, on a 50,000 bail bond. Later, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner received an extortion call for Rs 1 crore. The YouTuber was in London when he received a long WhatsApp message from a person asking for Rs 1 crore or else they would kill him. A case was also filed in the matter. Earlier this year, Elvish Yadav made racist and shocking comments against Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. The YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner called Chum vulgar and He even questioned her name.
