EastEnders star Ben Hardy, 34, can't keep his hands off actress Emilia Jones, 23, as the pair confirm their romance at Sabrina Carpenter's BST Hyde Park gig

Ben Hardy couldn't keep his hands off actress Emilia Jones as the pair confirmed their romance at BST Hyde Park over the weekend. The former EastEnders star, 34, who played Peter Beale from 2013 until 2015, packed on the PDA with the CODA actress, 23, over the weekend. Ben and Emilia were spotted together at American Express presents BST in Hyde Park where Sabrina Carpenter was headlining on Sunday. The Bohemian Rhapsody star was all over the actress, passionately kissing and holding her as they queued for drinks in the VIP garden. An insider told The Sun: 'Ben couldn't keep his hands off her and was trying to kiss her at almost any opportunity. 'She didn't seem to object and was all smiles.' Emilia looked stylish as she stepped out in a black racer neck cropped top with low-rise bootleg jeans and a gold Gucci belt, as well as a pair of chunky boots. Meanwhile Ben kept it casual in a pair of knee-length denim shorts, a red tartan shirt and Converse trainers. The new romance comes over two years after he parted ways from his fellow EastEnders ex Jessica Plummer after going public with their relationship back in 2021. The former soap actors were said to have fallen victim to busy work schedules, leading to them 'growing apart'. According to The Mirror, sources close to Ben and Jessica claimed at the time that the pair had been too busy to keep the relationship afloat. One insider shared: 'Ben and Jessica were besotted with each other but work has meant they spent a lot of time apart.' 'Over time it's taken its toll and recently they decided to call it a day,' they continued. The split came after it appeared they were still going strong in the summer of 2022 when they celebrated Ben's 31st birthday six months late with a holiday to Turkey. Ben and Jessica are both EastEnders alumni, with the latter portraying Chantelle Atkins from 2019 until 2022. The couple then starred alongside one another for four-part BBC drama The Girl Before, growing close as they portrayed on-screen couple Simon and Emma. After months of circulating rumours, they confirmed the romance shortly after appearing in the drama with a PDA display in central London. Embracing one another near a taxi after a night with pals at Soho House, the couple were snapped looking ultra cosy. Ben and Jessica's relationship came shortly after it was reported that he had split from his ex-girlfriend Olivia Cooke earlier that year, with sources claiming at the time their romance 'fizzled out.' After saying goodbye to Albert Square, Ben has bagged numerous roles in films and shows including Mary Shelley, Only The Brave, 6 Underground and The Woman In White. His soap character Peter had a tumultuous time in Albert Square in the last couple of years, most notably with his sister Lucy being murdered by their brother Bobby. Peter left the Square for a new life in New Zealand, with his ex Lauren Branning eventually joining him with their son Louie. Ben then went on to star in Hollywood films such as Bohemian Rhapsody and X-Men: Apocalypse. Bohemian Rhapsody won four of the five Academy Awards it was nominated for. The film also grossed more than $900million worldwide.

The Running Man mixes mayhem and humor in first trailer

As promised, the first trailer for director Edgar Wright's take on Stephen King's novel The Running Man is here — and it looks like a playful throwback to '80s action movies. The story centers on a struggling man named Ben Richards, played by Glen Powell, who is a contestant on a mega-popular TV game show where he's hunted by trained killers, and earns more money the longer he stays alive. The goal is to last a whole 30 days unscathed, which typically doesn't happen. Oh, and basically every citizen is trying to catch him as well. Despite the dark premise, the trailer has a fairly lighthearted tone, mixed in with all of the death and destruction. In addition to being helmed by Wright — who is best-known for movies like Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World — the new movie also includes a pretty large and notable cast. That includes Powell in the lead role, alongside Katy O'Brian, Daniel Ezra, Karl Glusman, Josh Brolin, Lee Pace, Jayme Lawson, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, David Zayas, Sean Hayes, and Colman Domingo. Of course, this isn't the first adaptation of the book. It follows Paul Michael Glaser's film from 1987, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and had something of a post-apocalyptic-meets-American Gladiators vibe. The latest version of The Running Man also isn't the only dystopic King adaptation in the works right now. The slightly slower-paced novel The Long Walk is also coming to theaters this year from Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence. It premieres on September 12th. The Running Man is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7th.
