New "Can I Paint That Dog?" mural unveiled in Northern Liberties
A newly finished mural in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia showcases the neighborhood's dogs, big and small. Pet owners flocked to 3rd and Poplar streets, near the Liberty Lands park, on Friday for the unveiling of the mural "Can I Paint That Dog?" The mural by artist Emily White is on a wall next to the park at Kaplan's New Model Bakery. It features 10 dogs who live in the neighborhood and or the nearby Orianna Hill dog park. Dog owners sent in several reference photos for White to work with, and you can follow along with her progress over the past several weeks on her Instagram @gggreatwhite. The mural's title also has a striking similarity to a viral video where a little boy holding a stuffed animal asks, "Can I pet that dog?"

Woman climbs famous UK mountain but is floored by what she finds at top
A woman who woke up at 1.45am to climb Pen y Fan, in the Brecon Beacons, was left shocked when she reached the top of the mountain - and it wasn't because of the early start There's no adventure quite like a Welsh mountain hike and, when the elements align with some precious alone time, it's an opportunity to discover the natural treasures Wales has to offer. Yet, one woman's recent ascent of Pen y Fan, in the Brecon Beacons, left her utterly flabbergasted. Emily White took to TikTok to recount her early morning trek, revealing she had set off at the ungodly hour of 1.45am, all in the hopes of catching a breathtaking sunrise from the peak. After fuelling up with breakfast, and making her way to Pen y Fan by 4.20am, her optimism was high but, by 5am, the outlook was grim. An hour shy of reaching the summit, Emily's anticipation turned to disappointment as she encountered not the stunning views she envisioned, but a blanket of thick fog. She coined the term "sunrise fail" for her misadventure, yet managed to find humour in the anticlimactic end to her early rise, because sometimes laughter is the only response to such a misty letdown. The video suggests she wasn't alone in her mistimed journey; other hikers loomed in the foggy backdrop. On her ascent, the weather seemed promising, with clear skies and even local wildlife, including ponies and sheep, making an appearance on camera. Alas, the summit offered a stark contrast to her expectations. It seems that the majestic views of Pen y Fan were not meant for Emily that day. Despite your best efforts to plan a perfect hike, sometimes the weather simply refuses to cooperate. It's a bit of a downer, but that's just how it goes sometimes. For those unfamiliar with Pen y Fan, it holds the title of the tallest peak in South Wales. Nestled within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this mountain towers at 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea level, making it the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia. The National Trust owns both the mountain and its surrounding area, and is actively working to combat the erosion caused by the footfall of countless walkers. The mountain also serves as a training ground for the UK's Special Forces personnel during their selection process. Visit Wales describes Pen y Fan as one of Wales' most frequented walks, stating: "Pen y Fan is one of the most popular walks in Wales. When the weather is fine, the views are truly splendid. "Mile upon mile of rolling hills disappear into the distance, fringed by eons-old sheer cliffs. Just like Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), its popularity can detract from the experience, as trails get very busy at peak times. "If you're visiting in mid-summer you might want to try the nearby Black Mountains or the Cambrian Mountains - particularly if you like to walk without lots of other people around. "To get to Pen y Fan you can walk along the Beacons Way or the Taff Trail. If you prefer to cycle, you can take National Cycle Network Route 8 or the Taff Trail." For those intending to use public transport, you can catch a train to either Merthyr Tydfil or Abergavenny station, and then board the X43 bus. Alternatively, you could take the T4 bus from Cardiff to Newtown, alighting at the Storey Arms. If you're driving, take the A470 road that links Llandudno in North Wales with Cardiff in South Wales. This route goes straight through Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in Mid Wales, providing a scenic journey alongside the mountain.

'I woke up at 1.45am to climb Pen y Fan but was floored by what I found at top'
'I woke up at 1.45am to climb Pen y Fan but was floored by what I found at top' Emily White woke up as early as 1.45am to hike Pen y Fan, but it wasn't quite what she expected. She couldn't believe what she found at the top of the mountain after the big climb The experience left her floored (stock image) (Image:) There's nothing like a hike up a mountain, especially in Wales. When the weather is on your side, and you have some time to yourself, there's nothing quite like exploring the wonders that our country has to offer; however, one woman was recently left gobsmacked after she climbed Pen y Fan, in the Brecon Beacons. Emily White recently shared her experience on TikTok after admitting she woke up at 1.45am in a bid to see the sunrise as she reached the summit. After travelling to the area, and filling up on breakfast, she managed to arrive at Pen y fan by 4.20am, but by 5am things weren't looking so good. Just under an hour later she reached the top of the mountain, but it wasn't quite the experience she hoped for. Instead of being met with gorgeous views and glorious sunshine, she was greeted by something rather different instead - a whole lot of fog. Content cannot be displayed without consent Dubbing the experience a "sunrise fail", she couldn't help but make light of the situation. After all, what else can you do but laugh after waking up so early just to be met with blurry views? Based on the video, it appears many others also experienced the same blunder, as you could see other hikers in the distance too. As Emily was walking up the mountain, the weather looked a lot clearer, as she also filmed some ponies and sheep. Emily just wasn't meant to witness the glorious views Pen y Fan has to offer when she visited, or so it seems. No matter how much effort you put into hiking, sometimes the weather just isn't on your side. It's unfortunate, but it's just how it goes sometimes. If you've never been to Pen y Fan, it is actually the highest peak in South Wales. It lies in the Brecon Beacons National Park and, at 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it's also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia. Petra Ecclestone and Sam Palmer reveal why they are putting their palatial £31.5 million Los Angeles mansion on the market just two years after buying it
As a billionaire's daughter, Petra Ecclestone might expect to have a 'forever home'. Instead, the Formula 1 heiress is apparently condemned to life on the move. 'We do projects – we design homes then sell them,' explains her husband, Sam Palmer, who has put their LA pad on the market for £31.5 million. Sam, 40, and Petra, 36, bought the house, which has seven bedrooms and an infinity pool, two years ago for £23 million. 'We're staying in LA,' he adds. 'We love it here.' Petra and Sam, who is an estate agent specialising in 'off market luxury property' look set to make a healthy profit on the sprawling seven-bedroom, 13,500sq ft mansion which was built by Emily White, a former Snapchat executive, and her financier husband Bryan Kelly, meaning it was never on the market. Back in January Petra confirmed the home miraculously escaped the raging bushfires that have caused mass destruction across Los Angeles. Sam previously admitted they were 'praying for a miracle' as the fire tore across upscale Pacific Palisades, a stone's throw from their palatial £30million home in Brentwood. Petra and Sam, who is an estate agent specialising in 'off market luxury property' look set to make a healthy profit on the sprawling seven-bedroom, 13,500sq ft mansion In the midst of the fires the family fled their property, initially relocating to the Beverly Hilton Hotel before leaving the city. Engaging in a question and answer session with followers Petra later admitted they were thankfully out of danger, and their home was intact. She wrote: 'Safe and evacuated from the fires... the most scary and surreal thing I have ever had to have gone through. 'We are so grateful that for now our home is still standing for now. Thoughts and prayers for all our friends who lost their homes.' Petra also revealed the schools her children attend had been burned during the blaze, which reduced much of the Palisades to rubble. Asked if the fires had affected her home or area, she added: 'Yes... my children's schools have been and we live next to the Palisades, which to me was one of the best and most beautiful parts of Los Angeles... a lovely community full of amazing families... still does not feel real. Praying for Los Angeles right now.' Confirming the family were no longer in Los Angeles, she wrote: 'We left luckily after being in the middle of it all... so grateful to be safe.' Petra and Sam tied the knot in July 2022, enjoying a lavish ceremony at the F1 heiress's £170 million London mansion. The couple share daughter Millie, three, together and Petra's daughter Lavinia, 11, and twin boys James and Andrew, eight, from her marriage to ex husband, James Stunt.
