Fairhope High School student arrested, accused of selling drugs
FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Fairhope High School student has been arrested after police received a tip he was selling drugs. Escambia County Fire Rescue responds to fifth house fire at same location According to a Fairhope Police Department Facebook post, officers received an anonymous tip that a student at the school was selling drugs. K-9 Lucca was brought in and detected drugs in the student's car in the school parking lot, the post said. When the student returned to his car, officers found MDMA, a drug known as ecstasy when it's in tablet form or molly when it's in crystal form, assorted pills, marijuana and two ski masks in the student's backpack, according to the post. The discovery led officers to get a search warrant for the student's home in Loxley where they found three handguns, 132 assorted pills, more marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and $1,200 in cash, the post said. According to the post, Carter Vezina, 18, was arrested and is accused of six counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a forged instrument, nine counts of illegal possession of prescription pills, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Escambia County Fire Rescue responds to fifth house fire at same location
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire Monday, making it the fifth structure fire at that location since April 2024, has learned. Big crowds for 'Sand in My Boots' festival continue this weekend According to an ECFR news release, the home in the 1100 block of North Green Street was fully engulfed in flames when firefighter crews arrived at about 2:48 a.m. Crews put the fire out by 3:50 a.m., with help from the Pensacola Fire Department. According to the release, ECFR has responded to five structure fires and several outside fires at that location, including the one today. In August 2024, the same home was left uninhabitable because of fire, according to a ECFR Facebook Post. 2 dogs die in Escambia County house fire Tuesday morning: ECFR
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – A family is without two of their pets and their home after an early morning fire Tuesday, according to the Escambia County Fire Rescue. Crowds take to Pensacola's Irish pubs to celebrate St. Patrick's Day At 5:47 a.m. on Tuesday morning, March 18, firefighters were called out to a fire at a single-story residence on 6800 block of McNeil Street. Heavy flames and smoke were visible upon arrival from the front right side of the house, according to the ECFR. The firefighters battled the flames, and the fire was contained by 6:30 a.m. Two dogs died in the fire while a third dog was saved. The house sustained significant damage and is a total loss. ECFR officials investigated and concluded that the fire was caused by a candle that fell on the floor. Pensacola mobile home destroyed in fire: ECFR
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A fire destroyed a mobile home Wednesday morning in Pensacola.
