However, reports suggest Mbappe is all set to relinquish the number nine jersey to don another iconic number ten jersey next season. This will leave a vacancy for the number nine jersey and as thing stand, two prominent candidates are coming up. A lot could get clearer in the coming weeks as Real Madrid double down on their preparations for the new season, where both Garcia and Endrick will play a pivotal role under the leadership of new coach Xabi Alonso. Kylian Mbappe could soon start wearing the iconic jersey No. 10 for Real Madrid, according to the newspaper Marca. 10 is his number when he plays for France and played for PSG, but since Luka Modric had that number for Real Madrid, Mbappe played wearing No. 9. He didn't do badly either, scoring 43 goals, top scoring at La Liga, and winning the European Golden Boot.
