Taking to his Instagram, Virat posted an Instagram story, captioned, 'Today, we smile in freedom because they stood with unwavering courage. We salute and honor the sacrifices of our heroes on this joyous Independence Day. Proud to be Indian. Jai Hind.' Kaif, another batter who represented India in 13 Tests and 125 ODIs and was a crucial asset to the Dada's 'class of early 2000s', called Ganguly a player who had "a rare eye for talent and the courage to back it".
