Top DJ Armin van Buuren climbs Lion's Head
Renowned Dutch DJ and producer Armin van Buuren embraced Cape Town's natural beauty by hiking up Lion's Head on Friday ahead of his performance at Ultra South Africa. He shared his experience on social media, stating, 'South Africa it's good to be back. Climbed the beautiful Lion's Head trail today, the view over Cape Town is just breathtaking.' Thousands of people are expected to enjoy the festivities at the Joburg leg of Ultra South Africa 2025 Prepare for a night of music and vibrancy as Ultra South Africa is making its return to the City of Gold this weekend. The festival, which is Africa's largest electronic music festival, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with some of the biggest names in music. Sharjah to host ‘Discover Kerala' event; 300 exhibitors to attend
Discover Kerala 2025, the seventh edition of the annual Indian Trade and Cultural Entertainment Exhibition, is set to be held in Sharjah from May 9-11. The exhibition is a leading platform to celebrate and promote Indian culture and Kerala in particular. Announcing the details, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Expo Centre, which will host the event, said more than 300 exhibitors would participate in the exhibition, in addition to a number of government entities, major institutions, and private companies from various economic sectors in the UAE and India. The event is expected to attract more than 275,000 visitors. Enhancing business environment between Sharjah, India Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Communication and Business Sector at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the Chamber's support for the exhibition comes as part of its vision to enhance the business environment in Sharjah and develop its economic relations with India, which is a key strategic trade partner for the UAE. He added the exhibition will provide an ideal platform to connect the business community in Sharjah with its counterparts in India, especially in Kerala, to explore and promote areas of mutual investment, identification of promising opportunities and facilitation of business partnerships. A catalyst for trade exchange Jamal Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communications Department, pointed out that the "Discover Kerala" exhibition attracts a large number of businessmen, investors and companies from various vital economic sectors. Champions Trophy: Traffic plan announced for matches in Karachi
Listen to article As Karachi prepares to host the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy, traffic police have announced a comprehensive plan to facilitate spectators and commuters. The city will host three matches of the eight-team tournament, with the first game between Pakistan and New Zealand scheduled for February 19 at the National Stadium. This marks the first ICC event held in Pakistan since the 1996 Cricket World Cup, which was co-hosted by the country. The tournament, running from February 19 to March 9, will take place across three venues—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi—and in Dubai. The traffic plan aims to manage the anticipated influx of cricket fans and ensure smooth travel in the area surrounding the stadium. According to Traffic Deputy Inspector General, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open during match days, though several roads will be closed to heavy traffic. Parking areas will be available at the National Coaching Centre, the Expo Centre, and China Ground. Fans arriving from Karsaz will be directed to these parking zones via the flyover route. Heavy vehicles will be allowed to travel from Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No 10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road. However, access will be restricted from Karsaz to the stadium, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square. Traffic authorities are advising spectators to avoid parking on roads or service lanes, urging them to use only the designated parking areas. VIP vehicles and those with special passes will be allowed to park within the stadium. Public access to the stadium will be via the main gates and gates No 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, and 14, with VIP vehicles entering through gate 8. Vehicles equipped with CNG cylinders will not be permitted inside the stadium. The gates will open three hours before the match starts, while surrounding roads will remain open for general traffic.
