Prepare for a night of music and vibrancy as Ultra South Africa is making its return to the City of Gold this weekend.
The festival, which is Africa's largest electronic music festival, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with some of the biggest names in music.
The global heavyweights who will take to the stage include Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, KSHMR and Shimza. They will be joined by Da Capo, DBN Gogo, Kabza De Small, Mörda, Kyle Cassim and many more.
There will also be an array of meals and a wide selection of beverages to enjoy at the event.

Pretoria Zoo Mother's Day celebration
Spoil the leading lady in your life with a day full of activities at the Pretoria Zoo Mother's Day celebration.
This event, which is being hosted by Imbokodo Zase Mzansi Women, is a celebration of unity and sisterhood.
It will include live performances from the likes of DJ Young ,Ismail Abrahams, Tbose Mokwele and Paul Mtirara.
Attendees can also enjoy engaging activities and games, delicious food and drinks, inspirational speeches and networking.

The Ruimsig Night Run
Work on your fitness while enjoying the outdoors at The Ruimsig Night Run.
Participants can choose from a 5km or 10km night run.
There will also be live music, food vendors and an electric atmosphere at the finish line.

Why did you enter the competition and how far did you think you'd go? Entering the competition wasn't planned. I've curated competitions for professional chefs, including menus. I felt I had what it took to compete. I didn't think I would make it to the finale. I thought maybe I would make it to the top four or five and be sent home. I remember we were challenged to cook a three-course meal on an open fire, no machines, no oven or gas stoves, just a braai stand where you had to prepare top-tier meals. At that moment I told the people behind the scenes I was pulling out because of the pressure and stress of the competition, but the competition made me realise God will assign a mountain for you to move to show others he's still alive and he will show people he loves you. That's how I felt about the competition. How did you feel when they announced you the winner? While we were cooking I was absent-minded, people were asking if I was OK and I'd tell them yes. I had doubts because I felt my salmon wasn't cooked well. When they announced me the winner, I couldn't jump, I couldn't scream, my knees locked and it was just waterworks. I thought of my hardships and hard work. I knew there and then that God had answered my prayers. Who was your support system during the competition? I kept my decision to enter the competition a secret, even from my mom. Ironically, the first episode coincided with Mother's Day and I chose to make her favourite chocolate cake as a tribute. I'm grateful for the overwhelming support I received from my friends and family and I'd like to extend a special thank you to whom I refer to as a brother, actor Warren Masemola. He was there for me through my hardships and believed in me from the start of the competition. What are your plans in the culinary arts industry? I don't want to count my chickens before my eggs hatch, but one of my biggest inspirations is chef Janice Wong, who owns a dessert bar in Singapore. I want to open the first dessert bar in the country, so people need to look out for that. What is your favourite dish? I love home-cooked meals. A good oxtail, you'll find me eating pap and skop (cow head) at places such as Kwa-mai-mai. When it comes to dessert, white chocolate pots de crème does it for me. What advice do you have for young aspiring chefs? The industry is tough; you will work crazy hours. You will fall and get knocked down, but consistency is key. It's good to show up with a good attitude; skills can be trained, but you cannot train someone to have a good attitude. A good attitude will open doors for you.

Costa Titch's mother reflects on life after his death: ‘The spotlight took so much from you'

'I miss you more than words could ever explain. Life has been so strange and surreal since you left us.' Titch, whose real name was Constantinos Tsobanoglou, tragically collapsed on stage in March 2023, while performing at the Ultra South Africa music festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. Initial reports described him falling, regaining his footing and then collapsing again. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. In early 2024, his family revealed the official cause of death: a previously undetected strain on his heart, worsened by prolonged stress and exhaustion. She ended the tribute with a powerful, eternal declaration: 'I love you, my son. Forever.' Titch's sudden death at the age of 28 devastated not only his loved ones but also a nation still reeling from the loss of fellow rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes, who was killed just a month prior. Together, their deaths marked a dark chapter in SA's music history. Langeveld's tribute serves as a touching reminder that while the world remembers Titch as a performer and public figure, his family continues to mourn the son, the brother, the friend, whose spirit touched lives far beyond the stage.

WATCH: Tomorrowland erupts in flames - but the party isn't over
Tomorrowland has confirmed that its DreamVille campsite will open on Thursday, 17 July, despite the festival's main stage being severely damaged by fire. Videos showing flames engulfing the main stage have gone viral on social media, prompting widespread concern. Organisers have confirmed that no one was injured during the incident. Tomorrowland is one of the world's largest electronic music festivals, and its Global Journey activities in Belgium will continue as planned. In a statement, festival organisers said they are focused on finding solutions for the upcoming event, which is scheduled to take place from Friday, 18 July, to Sunday, 20 July. Several artists and surprise acts have been confirmed to perform. Dutch DJs Martin Garrix and Charlotte de Witte are also expected to attend. The Brussels Times reported that while the cause of the fire remains unknown, the sound of fireworks had been previously heard. Around one hundred firefighters responded to the emergency. Taking to social media, Swedish House Mafia expressed their sadness over the fire: 'Our thoughts are with the Tomorrowland family and all the people attending this year's spectacle,' the group posted. On X, user @wardandrews commented: 'Tomorrowland's most epic stage… is the burned-down stage. So put the decks and lasers and lights in front of it and run the show. Once in a lifetime opportunity. No injuries, no casualties—time to celebrate!' Another fan, @PorterTunes, wrote: 'My heart goes out to the massive—now melted—sound system from the Tomorrowland main stage.'
