The Floor Among Two Renewals at Fox

Fox has revealed the fate of two more shows ahead of its Upfront presentation Monday. A few short hours after renewing animated trio Grimsburg, Krapopolis and Universal Basic Guys, the network has picked up The Floor for Seasons 4 and 5, TVLine has confirmed. More from TVLine Grimsburg Among 3 Shows Renewed at Fox — Which Cartoon Is in Danger of Cancellation? The Masked Singer Season 14 Won't Air This Fall — Find Out Why Josh Charles to Headline Fox Adaptation of UK Medical Dramedy Doc Martin Fox has also handed a Season 2 order to the reality competition series Extracted, which wrapped its 10-episode freshman run on April 21. On The Floor, which is hosted by Rob Lowe, '100 contestants will stand their ground on a massive, interactive LED game floor featuring 100 squares, each representing a different trivia category. The first challenger, selected at random, must choose one of his or her neighboring opponents to go head-to-head in an epic quiz duel in the opponent's category. The winner takes over the loser's square, gaining valuable ground as they expand their territory, while the loser exits the game. The winner must then choose — do they go on the offensive to dominate more of the board? Or do they let The Floor choose a new challenger? The contestant who gains full control over The Floor takes home a life-changing grand prize of $250,000.' Extracted, meanwhile, is described by Fox as 'a one-of-a-kind survivalist competition series' wherein '12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Each amateur survivalist's family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous 'Extract' button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition.' As previously reported, Fox's flagship reality program The Masked Singer will forgo its traditional fall cycle and return in January for Season 14, which leaves Wednesdays at 8/7c wide open for another show — perhaps Extracted or The Floor — to take its place come September. 2025 Renewal/Cancellation Scorecard View List Best of TVLine Yellowjackets Mysteries: An Up-to-Date List of the Series' Biggest Questions (and Answers?) ‘The Floor' & ‘Extracted' Renewed At Fox

EXCLUSIVE: Rob Lowe's heading back into the studio and a new group of survivalists are heading into the wilderness after Fox renewed unscripted series The Floor and Extracted. The Floor has been renewed for Season 4 and Season 5 and Extracted returns for its second season. More from Deadline 'Grimsburg', 'Krapopolis' & 'Universal Basic Guys' Renewed At Fox Fox Greenlights Biblical Event Series 'The Faithful' From Carol Mendelsohn For Spring 2026 Josh Charles To Star In Fox Adaptation Of British Hit 'Doc Martin' Ordered To Series For 2025-26 The news comes ahead of Fox's Upfront next week. The Floor is a physical quiz show that sees contestants face off in quiz duels on a giant LED floor divided into a hundred equal squares, each representing its own field of knowledge. In each episode, the first challenger, selected at random, must choose one of his or her neighboring opponents to go head-to-head in an epic quiz duel in the opponent's category. The winner takes over the loser's square, gaining valuable ground as they expand their territory, while the loser exits the game. The winner must then choose – do they continue on and attempt to secure another square? Or do they let The Floor choose a new challenger? The last contestant standing who gains full control over The Floor takes home a $250,000 cash prize. It is produced by John De Mol's Talpa Studios, The Mole producer Eureka Productions and BiggerStage, a production company based in Ireland, where it is filmed. De Mol, Maartin Meijs, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Jayne Parker, Pat Kiely and Sean O'Riordan serve as executive producers. Anthony Carbone serves as showrunner and Rob Lowe, who has a first-look deal with the network, is co-exec producer. The first season premiered in January 2024; in May 2024 it was renewed for seasons two and three. Season two premiered in September and the third season returned in February after the Super Bowl, which Fox said made it the highest-rated unscripted entertainment series telecast in the last two years. This deal marks its latest two-season order. Meanwhile, Extracted, which counts Sylvester Stallone among its exec producers, is returning to the Canadian wilderness for its second season. It features 12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Each amateur survivalist's family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous 'Extract' button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition. Extracted begs the question: how far will their loved ones let them go for a chance for their family to win $250,000? It comes from Sony Pictures Television's B17 Entertainment, Sylvester Stallone's Balboa Productions and Fox Entertainment. Stallone, Rhett Bachner, Brien Meagher, Braden Aftergood, Kourosh Taj, Rob Buchta and Lauren Taylor Harding serving as exec producer with Harding also serving as showrunner. The show launched in February and wrapped up its ten-part run in April. Fox said Extracted's premiere ranked as broadcast's highest-rated unscripted series debut in nearly a year. It's been a busy week for Fox, which renewed The Masked Singer for Season 14 with the singing competition returning in January, eschewing a fall run for the first time since its launch in 2019. The network has also renewed a number of its scripted shows including comedies Animal Control and Going Dutch, ordered new series including a Josh Charles-led adaptation of British drama Doc Martin and canceled Rescue HI-Surf after one season. Under the proposal, workers could take up to six weeks of paid time off from a family wellness fund for circumstances including caring for a loved one in need, dealing with a serious health condition and welcoming a foster child. Parental leave would be supported separately by a welcome child fund. That would offer 12 weeks of leave for a parent, during which their job would be legally protected. Families would receive $3,000 per month for three months after their child is born or adopted. House Bill 11 passed the Commerce and Economic Development Committee on a 6 – 5 vote. It now heads to a vote on the House floor. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
