Man charged with murdering housemate
SHAH ALAM: A man was charged in the Magistrate's Court here with the murder of his housemate last month. Faisal Abdul Aziz, 41, nodded after the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali. However, no plea was recorded as the case fell under the jurisdiction of the High Court. He is charged with murdering Muhammad Fakhrullah Pauzihal Ali, 33, at a house in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Buloh near here at 11.26pm on June 25. The charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, provides the death sentence or imprisonment for not less than 30 years or not more than 40 years and not less than 12 strokes of the cane, if convicted. The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Alia Anisa Khairus Masnan while the accused was unrepresented. The court set Oct 10 for mention of the case for the submission of the chemist's report.

Unemployed man charged with murdering housemate over messy room
SHAH ALAM: An unemployed man was charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with the murder of his housemate last month. No plea was recorded after the charge was read out to 41-year-old Faisal Abdul Aziz before Magistrate Mohamed Redza Azhar Rezali. Faisal was charged with murdering his 33-year-old housemate at a house in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong, Sungai Buloh, at about 11.26pm on June 25. He is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment of between 30 and 40 years upon conviction. If spared the death sentence, he is liable to be caned not less than 12 times. Deputy public prosecutor Alia Anisa Khairus Masnan prosecuted, while Faisal was unrepresented. On June 27, Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor had said that an argument over a messy room was believed to have led to a fatal altercation between two housemates. It resulted in one man being stabbed to death in the chest at the house. Hafiz said both men had moved from Kelantan about six months ago and had been living together since. The suspect was tested positive for drugs and was subsequently remanded for investigations for murder.
