Baghdad-INA
The head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Falih al-Fayadh, confirmed on Sunday that the vote on the PMF Law is not merely a legislative measure, but rather an expression of the people's gratitude to their fighters.
In a statement addressed to members of the Iraqi Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Fayadh said, "At a moment when the meanings of loyalty and history are embodied, we face a national responsibility and a matter related to the dignity of those who took up arms in defense of Iraq and its sovereignty."
He added, "The vote on the PMF Law is not merely a legislative measure, but rather an expression of the people's gratitude to their fighters and a confirmation of the rights of those who answered the call of the religious authority and wrote the glory of this nation with their blood."
