Converse x KENZO Chuck 70 Collection: Bold Hana Leopard Prints & Streetwear Heritage

In a collaboration that feels both inevitable and exhilarating, Converse and KENZO have joined forces to reimagine the legendary Chuck 70 silhouette through the lens of KENZO's irrepressible energy. This first-ever union marries Converse's storied heritage with KENZO's signature exuberance, resulting in a footwear collection that is at once nostalgic and boldly contemporary. Under the artistic direction of Nigo—whose own obsession with the Chuck has defined much of streetwear's recent evolution—each pair becomes a canvas for KENZO's all-over Hana Leopard motif. The print, inspired by the vibrant graphic archives of both houses from the 1980s, recalls the era when Converse first flirted with fashion patterns, while celebrating KENZO's legacy of daring cultural fusion. The range centers on three silhouettes: the Chuck 70 Hi in a warm 'Sweet Corn' hue, and two low-top iterations in 'Pink Cosmos' and 'Cypress.' Moreover, thoughtful design tweaks elevate each profile: a geometric winged stitch echoes the original stitchwork; the Chuck Taylor patch is screen-printed with intentional imperfections; and the high-top's pinched collar adds sculptural depth. On the sole, an inlay of KENZO's boke flower motif and a dangling charm bearing the brand's new graphic bring an unexpected flourish underfoot. Beyond the shoes themselves, the campaign imagery nods to collegiate Americana—a fitting tribute to Converse's roots. Through sun-drenched campus scenes and spontaneous moments of youthful exploration, the visuals capture the freedom that comes from forging your own style story. Converse and KENZO have each stood at the crossroads of culture and fashion for decades. Here, they celebrate that shared history with a collection that's more than a capsule—it's a joyful salute to the past and a vibrant step into the future.

MasterChef star Melissa Leong reveals surprising career move

Melissa Leong has revealed a surprising career move as she steps out from the kitchen and onto the catwalk this week. The former MasterChef Australia star, 43, will make her runway debut at Australian Fashion Week, reported The Daily Telegraph on Saturday. The famous foodie, who is known for turning heads with her eye-catching looks, will hit the catwalk for long-time collaborator Gary Bigeni's show Dance Bigeni, Dance. The Sydney-based designer told the publication the collection would pay homage to movement. 'It's about showing up with confidence, in colour, in shape, in spirit – for you first,' he said. 'As someone who grew up with a disability, colour and form have always spoken loudly to me, they've been tools of joy, identity, and expression.' Gary has a hearing disability and has worn hearing aids since birth. It's not the first time the foodie and the fashionista have collaborated, with Gary behind many of the eye-catching ensembles she wore during MasterChef. In fact, the designer has named two dresses after the celebrity chef. Back in 2021, Gary renamed a hand painted tye-dyed maxi dress she wore on the show the 'Melissa' after it sold out following it's airing on the hit Channel Ten series. Then, in 2024, Gary unveiled a new dress called the Leong, also in honour of his 'muse'. 'Melissa Leong muse wearing this bias cut silk dress hand painted by me,' Gary wrote at the time. 'All pieces are painted using dead stock to reduce wastage within the environment. Style Leong is named after Melissa Leong as a way of saying thank for your love and support over the years.' Speaking to Refinery29 in 2022, Gary revealed he had known Melissa long before she wore his creations on the small screen. The famous foodie, who is known for turning heads with her eye-catching looks, will hit the catwalk for long-time collaborator Gary Bigeni's show Dance Bigeni, Dance 'She's always been a big supporter and a she's a muse as well,' he said. 'She represents my [idea of] diversity - she represents real women to me and she's very authentic.' He added: 'She's very realistic and how you see her on TV is her in real life. She's not pretending to be someone.' Melissa left MasterChef Australia in 2023 under a cloud of suspicion about an alleged feud with her former co-host Andy Allen. Following revelations of backstage tensions between Melissa and crew members employed by Ten's production partner Endemol Shine in 2022, came news she was no longer in the MasterChef Australia line-up. She shocked fans when she shared news of her departure to Instagram one day before the network's 2024 Upfronts. 'The changing of the guard is one I always planned to embrace, and I'm so glad to do that on my terms, today,' Melissa wrote at the time.

Our Legacy Work Shop x Emporio Armani Is the Swedish-Italian Collab You Didn't Know You Needed

Recently the creative director, co-founder Jockum Hallin, and the OL team have been spending time in Pantelleria, where they photographed the second Emporio Armani Our Legacy Work Shop collection, this time with womenswear added. This unexpected meeting of North and South dates to late 2023 when the first offering debuted. In addition to being broader, this new spring collection goes deeper in terms of fabric development. 'The first time around we kind of dug in the Emporio Armani archive and then we tried to find things that resembled what we found in our deadstock piles,' Hallin says on a call. This time, OL Work Shop made replicas of Emporio Armani fabrics or used limited yardage sourced from the Italian brand. This syncs nicely with OL Work Shop's mission to 'work with what's just in front of you,' as Hallin puts it. Among the most interesting materials are a textural linen and a pink floral warp-print taffeta. 'Women's seems very different for Giorgio Armani than menswear; for us it's a bit the same,' explains Nying. Photo: Alasdair McLellan / Courtesy of Our Legacy Work Shop and Emporio Armani Photo: Alasdair McLellan / Courtesy of Our Legacy Work Shop and Emporio Armani The overall approach to the project was mostly the same: to bring OL into the world of Armani. 'I have a lot of respect for Giorgio…he talks a lot about elegance,' says Nying. 'What we tried to do is to connect to the history of Giorgio Armani, not only Emporio. The sub-brand, launched in 1981, was good at 'really connecting with youth culture and things'—as is Our Legacy today. Eastern influences, seen in a kimono coat and lapel-less jackets, reference Giorgio Armani's work, and a cat print on T-shirts nod to the Italian designer's fondness for felines. A shadowy plaid, pinstripes cut into track-suit shapes, and color-blocked (black and brown) moto jackets bring in OL elements, which can be found in washed jeans with godets on the inside leg seams as well. The palette is neutral, the silhouette long and fluid. These are clothes that capture a relaxed island vibe. Nying's focus on Armani's 'more soft language,' resulted in what he calls 'collapsed tailoring.' Our Legacy Work Shop x Emporio Armani, Hallin notes, is about 'this really comfortable way of dressing elegant.'
