Chiefs DL Felix Anudike-Uzomah officially changed his jersey number for 2025 season
Chiefs DL Felix Anudike-Uzomah officially changed his jersey number for 2025 season This week, the Kansas City Chiefs released the jersey numbers for their rookie class from the 2025 NFL draft. Though there weren't any major surprises in the highly anticipated reveal, some eagle-eyed Chiefs fans noticed that third-round pick Ashton Gillotte had been assigned No. 97, which defensive lineman Felix Anudike-Uzomah had previously worn. In a post to Instagram shortly after the announcement, Anudike-Uzomah confirmed that he is set to don the No. 91 jersey next season, marking a return to the number he wore as a collegian during his time with the Kansas State Wildcats. A screenshot of Anudike-Uzomah's message was shared by user @Vince_Lovergine on Twitter: In years past, defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi wore the No. 91 jersey, but the number became available when the former Florida State Seminole signed with the New York Jets in free agency. Both Gillotte and Anudike-Uzomah will be counted on to help lead Kansas City's revamped pass-rush in 2025, and both young linemen are heading into the offseason ready to help the Chiefs get back to the Super Bowl, regardless of which jersey number they wear.

Kansas City Chiefs DL Felix Anudike-Uzomah reflects on rookie season chores
Kansas City Chiefs DL Felix Anudike-Uzomah reflects on rookie season chores Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Felix Anudike-Uzomah recently appeared on 'Good Morning Football' to reminisce about a hilarious prank and chores he endured during his rookie season with guest co-host and former teammate Justin Reid. Chris (Jones) wasn't there my rookie year, but I still had to buy a ton of water. So I think about 20 cases of water and put them in his room. Charles (Omenihu) came into his room and took some of those waters too. I had to put some water in the meeting room, too. And then I had to buy a lot of snacks too. So that was a lot too. And then bought comforters, humidifiers, fans, all that stuff," said Anudike-Uzomah, "On top of that, I think the security staff put a cat in my room, like a live cat. I literally got scared, like, because they did it to me and Rashee (Rice). So, like, I literally got scared. I started running, like, there's no way to actually have a live cat in my room. Oh, and they had a speaker playing bobcat noises about to attack. For real. Crazy. This occurred during 2023, as Chris Jones began the season holding out and missed all of training camp. The bobcat prank continues to be an ongoing tradition in camp as the Chiefs have done this to many of their young players.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah reflects on growing up a Kansas City Chiefs fan
Felix Anudike-Uzomah reflects on growing up a Kansas City Chiefs fan Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Felix Anudike-Uzomah recently appeared as a guest on the 'Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams' to share early memories as a fan and attending the Super Bowl parade in 2020. It's different; I've been through the Matt Cassel days. I've been through the one (year) when we beat the Green Bay Packers, and it was just like, this amazing thing," said Anudike-Uzomah. "I remember everybody was celebrating, even throughout the streets. I was there in 2020 whenever Pat (Mahomes) won that Super Bowl. It was crazy. Because I remember, I was a kid in the streets going throughout the parade, and we went out through Power and Light. We were all getting lit after they won the Super Bowl." The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, ending a 50-year drought. Many critics believe the championship was the start of the dynasty. "It was crazy. My friends nowadays, they're just like, there's no way we really are just with you at the Chiefs parade in 2020, and now you're with the Chiefs," said Anudike-Uzomah. "So it's a dream come true for sure. Grew up with the Chiefs my whole life. Even my mom suffered a little bit just for me to get those Chiefs tickets, to tour around the stadium, and stuff like that. So even just to see that stuff, how things change, it's a dream for sure, and now I'm living it." Anudike-Uzomah was a standout during his college career at Kansas State. Finished sixth in school history in career sacks with 20.5 and was tied for fourth in career forced fumbles with 8. He left Kansas State ranked fourth nationally and atop the Big 12 among active players in forced fumbles per game.
