People satisfied with State govt's performance: Bharath

Kurnool: The public is highly satisfied with the State government's performance over the past year, said Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, T G Bharath. Participating in the 'First Step Towards Good Governance' programme held at Lakshmi Nagar of Kurnool's 24th ward on Tuesday, the Minister visited every household and interacted with residents. He enquired about the implementation of welfare schemes, asked which benefits they were receiving, and whether they faced any issues in the last year. Locals affirmed that they were availing benefits such as free gas cylinders and 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme. They also mentioned that several long-standing issues in the ward had been resolved. Residents expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Bharath for their efforts. Speaking on the occasion, Bharath emphasised that the purpose of the outreach programme was to explain the government's initiatives and directly understand people's concerns. He reiterated that the government was committed to fulfilling all promises made during the elections. He further announced that new welfare schemes will be introduced soon. Highlighting the State's achievements, he said Andhra Pradesh offers one of the highest pension benefits in the country and that schemes like 'Talliki Vandanam' and 'Anna Canteens' are bringing significant positive change to people's lives. He added that with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, industiralists were coming forward to invest in the State, particularly to foster development in the Rayalaseema region. Minister Bharath also condemned the YSRCP leaders for making derogatory remarks about Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's age, calling the comments unfortunate and unacceptable. He stated that such language is typical only of YSRCP leaders and recalled that the public had already limited them to 11 Assembly seats. If they continue such conduct, he warned, they may lose even those seats in the next election.

The 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' (First Step Towards Good Governance) campaign received an enthusiastic response from rural communities in the Gangadhara Nellore Assembly constituency. Minister for Transport Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and Minister for Power Gottipati Ravikumar led a door-to-door outreach, engaging directly with villagers to explain the State government's flagship initiatives. Addressing the media at Gangadhara Nellore on Saturday, Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said the Chief Minister remained committed to implementing the promised 'Super Six' welfare schemes. Marking one year of the coalition government, he said efforts were underway to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries received their entitlements without delay. Mango farmers Citing farmer-friendly interventions, Mr. Ramprasad Reddy highlighted a substantial increase in Totapuri mango production—from 2.5 lakh metric tonnes in 2024 to over 7 lakh metric tonnes this year. He said the State government had mandated pulp processing industries to pay ₹8 per kg to farmers, and an additional ₹4 per kg would be directly credited to farmers' bank accounts as a subsidy. Infrastructure development Mr. Ravikumar said the government was prioritising infrastructure development, particularly in the power sector. He announced that proposals to establish three new 33/11 KV substations at Balaganganapalli, Gadanki, and Ramachenupalli in the district would be fast-tracked to strengthen the rural power supply network.

Kurnool: Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing TG Bharath asserted that development and welfare are achievable only under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. As part of 'First Step Towards Good Governance' initiative, he visited households in 45th ward of Ashok Nagar in Kurnool city on Sunday. During the door-to-door campaign, he interacted with residents and briefed them on the welfare and developmental activities carried out by the government in its first year. Bharath reviewed the implementation of key schemes and informed the public about direct benefit transfers under Thalliki Vandhanam programme, provision of three free LPG cylinders per year, and the upcoming launch of the free bus travel scheme for women. Addressing the media, the Minister stated that despite financial challenges, the State is moving ahead swiftly on the path of development under the leadership of CM Naidu. He pointed out that during the previous government's tenure, a large number of pensions were unfairly discontinued, a grievance voiced by many residents. He assured the public that the current government is actively addressing such issues and making steady progress. Minister Bharath said that people are responding positively to the good governance measures and are expressing their satisfaction with the state administration. Minister Bharath added that party leaders and cadres are participating in the campaign, going door-to-door to explain the welfare programs implemented by the government. He stated that issues raised by the public are being recorded and immediate steps are being taken to resolve them. Corporator Manikyam, former corporators, senior leaders, and booth in-charges were present during the visit.

Anantapur: State Finance, Planning, Commercial Taxes, and Legislative Affairs Minister Payyavula Keshav participated in the 'First Step Towards Good Governance' programme held in Donekal village, Vidapanakal mandal of Uravakonda constituency on Saturday. The Minister received a grand welcome from locals, supporters, and villagers who turned out in large numbers. As part of the initiative, he visited homes to explain the welfare and development programmes implemented by the coalition government. He personally inquired about the benefits received by each family, patiently listening to their concerns and feedback. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that as part of the programme, ministers and MLAs across all 175 constituencies are going door-to-door to directly interact with the people. He noted that the initiative is instilling confidence and peace, replacing the fear and unrest experienced during the previous five years. He highlighted a drinking water issue in Donekal village, where pipelines had not been laid due to negligence. He instructed officials to prepare a special project report to resolve the issue permanently within 10–15 days. Keshav pointed out the stark difference between the current and previous governments, noting that under the previous regime, 220 people received Amma Vodi benefits, while under the current government, 430 beneficiaries are receiving support through the Talliki Vandanam scheme. He also emphasized that pensions were increased by Rs1,000, and farmers are being supported under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme. He reiterated the government's commitment to both welfare and development, highlighting the completion of a national highway road and fast-tracking the Handri-Neeva project within 100 days. He assured that wherever there is suffering, struggle, or need, the government will respond swiftly. Several coalition leaders and local representatives also participated in the programme.

Somandepalli(Sri Sathyasai district): The coalition government has delivered welfare schemes to every household within just one year of its governance, said minister for BC welfare, handlooms, and textiles S Savitha. She participated in the 'First Step Towards Good Governance' programme held at Mage Cheruvu village in Somandepalli mandal, where she interacted with people, going door-to-door to explain welfare and development initiatives. Speaking on the occasion, she said, 'Those who came with the wind, have gone with the wind,' in a direct jibe at the previous YSRCP government. She accused former CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of failing to fulfill promises, citing the Amma Vodi scheme where only one child in a family received benefits instead of two as initially promised. The minister praised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as a leader who keeps every promise made to the people. She said the 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme has brought smiles to countless mothers by ensuring quality education, free midday meals with fine rice, Rs 2,500 worth school bags, and uniforms to children. She credited minister for education Nara Lokesh for these successful initiatives. She also highlighted that pensions were raised to Rs 4,000 and are being disbursed on time every month. Emphasising the government's commitment to development, she said the state is now racing forward with projects like Polavaram and Amaravati, and industries are once again showing interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh. She called Chandrababu Naidu a symbol of development. The Minister also announced that from August 15, women in the state will receive free bus travel as part of a new welfare initiative. Several coalition leaders and party workers also participated in the event.
