Blues legend Brad Fittler rips into Brian To'o's viral pre-game breakfast: ‘Odd bloke'

New South Wales icon Brad 'Freddy' Fittler has shredded Blues star Brian To'o's wild pre-game breakfast. The 'ridiculous' breakfast has gone viral after it came to light last year that To'o had two bacon and egg burgers, six cans of Coke, a bowl of hot chips and a caramel latte on the morning of a big game. Appearing on Nova's show Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, Fittler said the breakfast was disturbing and could lead to health problems. While former AFL star and Front Bar regular Ryan Fitzgerald said the pre-game meal was absurd. 'We cannot get over this,' Fitzgerald said. 'Like it's ridiculous. Is he taking the piss? That's got to be wrong, doesn't it?' Fittler was perplexed. 'He's an odd bloke,' he said. 'I don't remember seeing him gorging into all the Cokes on a morning of a game ... so I wouldn't say he's dishonest but, yeah, it seems strange. 'But anyway, if he keeps eating and drinking like that, there's going to be a problem somewhere in the future.' Fittler said when he was playing he liked to keep things 'light' ahead of a game. '(But) I used to drink the night before,' he admitted. 'I'd sit around dinner and have some beers and have a few drinks. 'A few blokes used to smoke darts at half-time. Thank god that's all changed.' Fittler also admitted that 'in the old days' there would be some long parying after a victory. 'The lock-in was ridiculous,' he said. 'We would just lock in a room and drink. Our go was to go out and just make sure there's the bus to go to the airport the next day.' To'o also revealed recently that he once drank 600 cans of Coke Zero in one month. After To'o's revelation about his Coke-heavy breakfast, the soft drink company sent him 24 cases (24 cans per case) of Coke Zero (to help you with the matha, that's a total of 576 cans). It equates to almost 200 litres of Coke. 'I think Coke sponsored Penrith so they sent me 24 boxes of 24 packs (after the story)', To'o said. 'Put it this way, I got them in October and they were finished by November. My teeth still seem pretty good. 'I'd love to be the face of Coke – it's delicious.'

'I just froze': Chrissie Swan reveals disturbing moment Big Brother cameraman secretly took photos of her while she was getting changed

Australian media personality Chrissie Swan has opened up about a horrific experience she endured during her time as a contestant on Network 10's Big Brother, alleging a cameraman secretly took intimate photos of her while she was getting changed. The NOVA star, 51, shared the story for the first time during Thursday's episode of Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, after fellow former Big Brother housemate Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald brought up the crew's off-camera interactions. "Swannie, remember when the cameramen in the Big Brother house used to make noises and you could hear them and you'd try to have conversations with them?" Fitzy asked. "Yes, I actually remember when one of those men was sending photographs of my boobs to a friend who liked large ladies," Chrissie replied. She went on to explain how she first learned about the incident while she was alone in the bathroom. "I was getting changed in the bathroom, and I was getting my gear off by myself, and then I heard 'I know you like large ladies' or something, and I just froze, because he was obviously taking stills of my giant teets." Chrissie said she "heard a low voice through the wall going, 'I know you like big women'," confirming her suspicions. Her co-hosts were stunned, with Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli responding: "You're kidding me." "No, I'm not," Swan responded vehemently, detailing how she reported the incident. "I did mention it in my sort of casual, offhand way, I'm like, 'Just so you know, I just heard something that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable'… Anyway, it was sorted out, and that's great." Fitzy recalled Chrissie being "quite emotional" at the time, to which she responded: "Well, yeah, because yuck." The revelation came shortly after Chrissie posted a series of throwback photos from 2005 on Instagram, reminiscing about her time on the show. "I WAS A BABY!" she captioned the snaps shared with her 296,000 followers. "A cute little juicy baby with layers and foils. Happy to see the love of the giant hoop earrings started early." She also shared more photos with her "bestie" Rebecca Thompson and fellow Big Brother cast members, reflecting on how far she's come since then. The Masked Singer judge has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past few years, reportedly losing 90 kilograms. She credits the shift to a new diet, daily walks, and sobriety. Speaking to the Herald Sun ahead of her milestone 50th birthday in 2023, she said, "I have never been happier or more centred. "It is actually great and I don't think you can feel that way until you have done the years. I wouldn't be 20 for quids." has reached out to Network 10 for comment.

‘Disgraceful': Lions great Jonathan Brown claims Sam Pang ‘bribed' daughter to become a Carlton supporter

Jonathan Brown has revealed his close pal Sam Pang 'bribed' his daughter to become a Carlton supporter. The retired Lions great appeared on Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Monday where talk soon turned to Sydney's 16-point win over Carlton on Friday. Fill-in host Chrissie Swan, who previously hosted Chrissie, Sam & Browny on Nova 100 with Brown and Pang, then interjected to ask Browny if his daughter Olivia was 'still' a Carlton supporter. 'Speaking of Carlton, is your daughter still unashamedly and unbelievably a Carlton fan, given that you are a Brisbane Lions legend?,' she asked. 'What!? How did that happen?,' Wippa interjected. 'It's disgraceful isn't it but a mate of hers was a Carlton supporter, and then Pang realised when were working together on the radio,' Brown said. 'Pang realised this, so quickly he got onto it and showered her with Carlton gifts. "(Pang) had Charlie Curnow give her a call at once stage, he had her run out for the first ever AFLW Game against Collingwood in front of 20,000 I lost her forever after that.' The update comes weeks after Channel 10 doubled down on Pang and confirmed his late night talk show Sam Pang Tonight will return to screens for a 'second' run of episodes later this year. 'Expect more laughs as Sam takes on the week's news and welcomes a bunch more guests, including local legends, engaging experts, and comedy mates playing the part of Special Guest Announcer,' the network said in a statement. The weekly late night show premiered in March to lukewarm critical reviews but managed to pull in Ten's biggest audience for a new show since 2022.

Kate Ritchie steps out in a $659 Ralph Lauren jacket to grab a morning coffee as Nova ratings thrive during her absence and rehab stint following public meltdown

Kate Ritchie stepped out for a casual morning coffee run in Sydne y on Sunday amid her ongoing extended break from her Nova's top-rating breakfast show. The former Home and Away has been receiving ongoing treatment at a rehabilitation clinic in the wake of a public meltdown in a park back in January. Kate, 46, dressed smartly in a $659 navy Ralph Lauren corduroy jacket layered over a grey T-shirt. She completed her look with a pair of blue jeans and burgundy Adidas sneakers. Her brunette locks were swept back into a neat ponytail and she appeared fresh-faced, wearing little to no makeup. The sighting comes amid ongoing speculation over when she'll return to co-host Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Nova 96.9 following her sudden departure in January after a troubling public incident in a Sydney park. Despite her absence, the breakfast radio show has continued to thrive with just Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli at the helm, recently recording its highest ratings in almost a year. The duo pulled in an impressive 8.7 per cent share of the audience in the latest survey, putting pressure on Nova bosses to make a decision about the show's future direction. Kate has been seeking ongoing treatment and support following a highly publicised breakdown, during which she was photographed appearing distressed in a public park shortly after picking up her daughter Mae from school. At the time, Kate released a heartfelt statement on social media explaining her decision to step away from the show. 'I struggle with mental health issues at times, which are deeply personal. This has proven to be a bigger challenge than I imagined,' she began. 'So I have decided to take a break from the show and the team who I love to focus on my health. I want to thank all of those who are helping me through this very difficult time. I love you. Thank you Nova for being there when I need you.' Kate went on to address the images taken on January 29. 'This is also a problem many others are struggling with. They know what it's like. The images of me taken last week show that I wasn't okay on that day,' she continued. She went on to thank her friends and fans for their support. Her brunette locks were swept back into a neat ponytail and she appeared fresh-faced, wearing little to no makeup 'Thank you to my wonderful family, all the Nova listeners, and many others who are sending their love and support. I appreciate it more than you can imagine,' she wrote. Footage obtained by Daily Mail Australia then showed the former actress crying while on the phone, wiping tears from her eyes and burying her head in her hands. A witness, who saw Ritchie get out of the car at the park, said the star 'looked really distressed'. 'She walked around a bit in the park while talking and then suddenly she sat down and started rocking her whole body back and forth and crying,' they said. 'It was really confronting – she looked so upset. When she turned around her eyes were all red and puffy and she looked absolutely devastated.' The actress was then seen struggling to get up from the grass. 'After the call ended, she tried to stand up but lost her balance and sort of fell over again,' the bystander added. 'When she finally managed to get to her feet, she started making another phone call... she looked much happier during that call.' Kate then walked around to the back of the vehicle – holding an arm out on the car as she got into the driver's seat and drove home. At the time, Nova's co-hosts had promised their audience that the absent Kate would return after one day off, but that timeline was soon dropped. This isn't the first time Kate has stepped away from her duties at Nova. In 2022, she took an extended hiatus from her drive-time program with Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey, citing exhaustion and burnout. She never returned to that show either. Nova has remained tight-lipped on any potential comeback date and did not respond to questions about whether the embattled star had continued to receive pay during her absence.
