2 rescued from American River in Placer County
( — Cal Fire and the Placer County Fire Department said two people were rescued after being swept away in the American River in Placer County on Sunday afternoon.

Authorities received the call around 1:45 p.m. for two victims who were flushed through a class three rapid known as 'Flip Flop'.
Authorities said one person was stable and denied having any injuries, while the other was not stable and required extraction.
The person was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital.
