The Eagles' chances for playing on Christmas Day just increased as FOX Sports announced on May 12 that the Birds will be part of a Saturday doubleheader. The Eagles will play the Commanders at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md., in a rematch of last season's NFC Championship game won by the Eagles 55-23. The Commanders won the rematch 36-33 at Northwest Stadium on Dec. 22. In that game, Jalen Hurts left the game in the first quarter with a concussion. The Eagles had a 13-point lead entering the fourth quarter behind backup QB Kenny Pickett, who has since been traded to Cleveland. But Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, a rookie last season, threw 5 touchdown passes to lead the Commanders back. That included the game-winning to Jamison Crowder in the final seconds.
