After a brief press conference for Antonio Conte immediately after the full-time whistle, the coach, who was suspended for the final game of the season, made his way back out onto the pitch to celebrate with the rest of his staff and players. The vast majority of the Partenopei squad had their hair temporarily dyed blue in time for the trophy lift on the pitch of the Maradona. Lukaku was the second-last of the players called out to receive his medal, followed immediately afterwards by Conte, who has now won Serie A titles with three different clubs (Juventus, Inter and Napoli). Only Fabio Capello has achieved this feat previously. Then came captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo to lift the trophy in front of a jubilant home crowd.

The Nerazzurri were one point behind the Partenopei heading into the final round, which left the title in Napoli's control. Advertisement The race for the Serie A title was so close that there was still potential for the championship to be decided by a play-off heading into the final round of the season. Advertisement Before then, Napoli had not won the Serie A title in over 30 years, dating back to the 1989-90 season when Diego Maradona was still leading the squad. Advertisement Napoli also had to do without their star attacker in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the second half of the 2024-25 season after he was sold to Champions League finalists Paris Saint-Germain midway through the January transfer window. Despite losing Kvaratskhelia, barely reinvested any of the funds raised in January were reinvested. The Partenopei sanctioned the loan signings of goalkeeper Simone Scuffet and Phillip Billing from Bournemouth, a €500,000 investment on youngster Luis Hasa and another loan deal with Milan for Noah Okafor, the only attacking signing of the window, who has since appeared for just 36 minutes of Serie A action across four appearances. Still, Napoli were able to get the job done, despite being the lowest scoring team to win the Serie A title in the 20-team era.
