So close was the fight for the 2024-25 title that there was still a possibility of a play-off to settle the title heading into the final weekend.
In the end, it was Antonio Conte and Napoli who celebrated, as they finished one point above Inter to claim the club's fourth ever Serie A title and their second in three years.
You can see how the action unfolded on the Football Italia Liveblog.

There was a party atmosphere surrounding the Stadio Maradona throughout the day on Friday, which truly kicked off when McTominay sent Napoli 1-0 up against Cagliari shortly before half-time.

The second from Lukaku five minutes after the interval all but sealed the Scudetto.
After a brief press conference for Antonio Conte immediately after the full-time whistle, the coach, who was suspended for the final game of the season, made his way back out onto the pitch to celebrate with the rest of his staff and players.
The vast majority of the Partenopei squad had their hair temporarily dyed blue in time for the trophy lift on the pitch of the Maradona.
Lukaku was the second-last of the players called out to receive his medal, followed immediately afterwards by Conte, who has now won Serie A titles with three different clubs (Juventus, Inter and Napoli). Only Fabio Capello has achieved this feat previously.
Then came captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo to lift the trophy in front of a jubilant home crowd.

Video: De Bruyne on ‘crazy' Napoli fans and ‘ambitious' team
Kevin De Bruyne assures Napoli 'are ambitious and want to win, so it was a really nice project to come into' and he already realised the fans are 'a bit crazy.' The midfielder completed the transfer this week and was a free agent after his contract with Manchester City was allowed to run down. Advertisement Napoli have published his first interview since joining the club on their social media channels. MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – MAY 02: Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City celebrates scoring his team's first goal during the Premier League match between Manchester City FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC at Etihad Stadium on May 02, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by) 'I'm a winner, I want to win games,' confessed De Bruyne. 'I've always been like this, I hate losing.' He had plenty of alternatives, including more lucrative ones in MLS or Saudi Arabia, but the combination of Serie A football and the lifestyle in Naples made it an easy decision. 'The team won the Scudetto last year, so they are in the Champions League. I'm hopeful that we can create something good for the future together. 'The team wants to win, they are ambitious, it looks like a really good team put together, so for me it was a really nice project to come into and hopefully I can help the team get their ambitions through.' LONDON, ENGLAND – MAY 25: Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City arrives at the stadium prior to the Premier League match between Fulham FC and Manchester City FC at Craven Cottage on May 25, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by) Napoli fans already made their presence felt when he arrived for his medical, even if it was in Rome rather than Naples. Advertisement 'I remember it was really loud. The supporters were a bit crazy! But that's good, I think I understand a little bit how Naples works, how the city is behind the team, and this is also something I wanted to come into. 'At the beginning, maybe I need to adapt a little bit, but if you have so many people behind the team, it's going to be a nice atmosphere for us to deliver.' De Bruyne will be working with fellow Belgium international Romelu Lukaku, while ex-Napoli star Dries Mertens confessed he also helped pave the way for this move. 'I've known Romelu since I was 13 years old. He spoke a lot of good words about the team, the city, so I am excited to do good things together. Advertisement 'Romelu and Dries obviously know the city really well, they explained a little bit how it works, how the people are. I understand a bit of Italian, obviously I need to get used to it and learn more. 'I'm excited, it is something that is very new for me, I lived in England for 10 years, but I think it is going to be a nice experience for me, for my family, and I'm looking forward to it.' Nuno Tavares pledge to have 100 metres race with Olympic long jumper
Lazio full-back Nuno Tavares has pledged to have a 100 metres race with medal-winning Italy long jump champion Mattia Furlani. The promise was revealed by Furlani on the 'Rade the King' Twitch stream and picked up by the Corriere dello Sport. Advertisement This is not an entirely wild idea, because the pair are good friends since Nuno Tavares moved to Rome to play for Lazio last summer on loan from Arsenal, making the move permanent. Furlani reveals Nuno Tavares race plans PARIS, FRANCE – AUGUST 06: Mattia Furlani of Team Italy celebrates winning the bronze medal after competing in the Men's Long Jump final on day eleven of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 at Stade de France on August 06, 2024 in Paris, France. (Photo by) 'Nuno Tavares told me he wants a challenge running 100 metres! It's true, Nuno is a close friend of mine and I accepted, obviously. 'Now we are trying to organise everything…' It comes after statistical analysis from Serie A games showed that Nuno Tavares hit a speed of 35.3km/h. The friendship developed despite the fact that Furlani, who is 20 years old and won an Olympic Bronze, along with Gold at the World Indoor Championships and Silver in the European Championships, is a Roma supporter. Lazio fans on the Twitch stream messaged Furlani urging him not to take the race too seriously, seeing as Nuno Tavares has such a terrible record with muscular injuries.

Advertisement Musetti has enjoyed a fine clay court season. A Monte Carlo Masters finalist, losing to Alcaraz, the Italian has found a consistency and calmness to his flowy, showy strokes. The 23-year-old has already knocked out Holger Rune and Frances Tiafoe, but was arguably lucky to still be in the tournament after kicking a ball that accidentally hit a line judge against the the American. According to the rules, he should have been defaulted, but received only a code violation. He has the game to do some damage. No player has won more tournaments in 2025 than Alcaraz, but the second-seeded Spaniard has been inconsistent in reaching the last four at Roland Garros. He dropped sets against unheralded Fabian Marozsan and Damir Dzumhur but in beating Tommy Paul for the loss of just five games in the last eight, the 22-year-old seemed to be back to his bludgeoning best. Alcaraz leads the head-to-head record 4-1, having won the past four meetings, and will start as favorite. Musetti is arguably lucky to be here after accidentally kicking a ball at a line judge in his quarter-final win over Frances Tiafoe, an offense that usually results in disqualification. He'll want to take advantage of his second chance against Alcaraz. The winner will face Jannik Sinner or Novak Djokovic in the final. Tune in to find out who it'll be. The players are making their way to Court Philippe Chatrier now, so get ready to enjoy a potential classic.
