NOW is once again increasing the price of three of its broadband products. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 NOW has hiked the price of its broadband deals Credit: Alamy Customers on its social broadband tariff won't see their prices change, but those signed up to its Fab Fibre, Super Fibre, and Brilliant Broadband will. Come July 4, prices are set to increase by £3 a month, which works out as an extra £36 a year. A NOW spokesperson said: 'We understand that price increases are never welcome. However, to continue improving and investing in our services, we need to adjust our pricing. "Starting 4th July, the monthly cost of our NOW legacy Broadband products, including Fab Fibre, Super Fibre, and Brilliant Broadband plans, will increase by £3 each.' It's not the first time NOW customers have been met with increases to their monthly bill. Those signed up for any of the three broadband packages were also told they must pay an extra £3 last year. And this was on top of of a £3.50 hike back in July 2023. It's important to remember that not every NOW customer will be impacted by the move. If you are on NOW's Full Fibre 100 tariff won't see their prices change. Also if you're signed up to a Now Broadband Basics tariff because you claim Universal Credit or other benefits, your prices will not change either. CHECK YOUR SPEED: Broadband The tariff cost will remain fixed at £20 a month to help those on lower incomes. Also if you are on one of the impacted contracts you have a chance to get out. NOW customers have been told they can also exit their current contract within 31 days of being notified of a price increase without being charged a penalty. But it is important to note that if you're unhappy with the price hikes and wish to leave, you must tell Now within 31 days of receiving notification of the price increase to avoid being charged. Customers who are impacted will be contacted from the end of this month to let them know how the changes impact their package How can I save money on my broadband and mobile contracts? It is not uncommon to see your broadband or mobile contract increase. This is typical because of pesky mid-term price hikes, which are written into a lot of broadband and mobile phone contracts. These agreements mean that around April each year, providers can increase what they charge, usually in line with inflation plus an added percentage (for example, Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation + 3.9%). Since the start of this year, providers have been banned from doing this in percentage terms and will have to include an exact pounds and pence figure in your contract. But this means customers still have to pay extra. In the weeks before your contract is up, use comparison sites to familiarise yourself with what deals are available. It's a known fact that new customers always get the best deals. Sites like MoneySuperMarket and Uswitch all help you customise your search based on price, speed and provider. This should make it easier to decide whether to renew your contract or move to another provider. However, if you do not want to switch and are happy with the service you're getting under your current provider - haggle for a better deal. You can still make significant savings by renewing your contract rather than rolling on to the tariff you're given after your deal.

Get Sky Full Fibre Broadband for only £26 as prices slashed in flash sale
Sky Broadband prices are now cheaper than BT, as the broadcaster holds a flash saleto help save you money. While prices for broadband and TV have shot up with the new financial year, many people are searching for cheaper options that will still give them fast connectivity and download speeds. Thankfully, Sky has slashed some of their broadband prices in a flash sale, with some deals being cheaper than BT. One of Sky's bestselling offers is included in the sale, meaning shoppers can get Full Fibre 150 Broadband for only £26 per month. This deal includes a 24-month contract and has no upfront cost, making it an enticing deal if you are looking to make a switch. While you need to check if you are eligible for this deal as it requires being able to get fibre straight to your home, this £26 Sky deal is currently cheaper than BT's Full Fibre 100 package - which will cost over £160 more across the two year contract. However, it should be noted that this £26 deal on Sky's Full Fibre 150 Broadband is only available for new Sky Broadband members. What makes Sky's Full Fibre 150 so sought-after is that it features great speeds that will allow you to download a movie in less than two minutes, reports the Express. It is also equipped with loads of bandwidth so you can connect plenty of your household devices. From streaming 4K movies to gaming, this Sky Broadband dea l will make sure you can enjoy your favourite form of entertainment with buffering or glitching. Additionally, Netflix says you need 15Mbps or higher to stream their content in 4K, which the Full Fibre 150 package has in abundance. Sky also has other superb deals available in the flash sale, including its Broadband and TV packages. While making sure you get a good deal on your internet is important, choosing a bundle deal that includes both broadband and TV means you can have access to a variety of content through Sky Stream, including Netflix. The Essential TV and Full Fibre 150 Broadband bundle on Sky is now down to £35 a month, which gives you fast internet connection, the Sky Stream puck and instant access to Sky Atlantic, Discovery, Netflix and much more. While the TV part of this deal is priced at £15 by itself, this means you will be knocking a further £6 off the 150 Broadband deal as it would effectively cost just £20 a month. It should be noted that while these deals look great, they are both 24-month contracts and Sky has stated that there will be price rises during the contract. Unfortunately, the broadcaster has not revealed how high these will be. However, if you are wanting to look into all your options, Sky isn't the only provider that gives you access to full fibre. You can also get M125 Virgin Broadband for £25.99 a month, but this only gives you 132Mbps compared to the 150Mbps from Sky. It is also worth noting that Virgin Media has said that this deal will increase to £29.49 in April 2026. However, this deal is only an 18-month contract, which means you won't be tied down for as long as you would with the Sky deal. Sky also has a Full Fibre 75 Broadband offer available, which is consistently £25 a month. However, for only £1 less with the current flash sale and half the speed (75Mbps), it may not be the best deal to consider. If you want to snap up Sky's Full Fibre 150 Broadband deal before the price goes back up, you can click HERE.
