In response to a circular from the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) announcing that the World School Volleyball Championship (Under-15 Boys and Girls) will be held in Shangluo City, China, from December 4 to 13, 2025, the Andhra Pradesh unit of the SGFI has called for nominations of eligible and talented students for the national selection trials to be held at Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra.
In a statement on Friday, School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh Secretary G. Bhanumurthy Raju said that zonal (erstwhile district) and State-level volleyball selection trials would be conducted to identify eight boys and eight girls from the State for the national trials.
The boys' State selection trials will be held from August 25 to 27, and the girls' trials from August 28 to 30, 2025. Only students born on or after January 1, 2010 — with permissible birth years 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 — are eligible. Participants must carry their original birth certificate in English, issued by a government-approved authority, and have a passport valid for at least six months beyond December 2025.
District-level trials will be conducted on August 13 under the supervision of the respective Zonal Educational Officer and District School Games Secretary. The State-level trials will take place on August 18, 2025, at K.B.C. Zilla Parishad Boys High School, Patamata, Vijayawada, in NTR district.
