Adin Ross Claims He Lost Millions In Brand Deals After Dissing Megan Thee Stallion, Doechii

Controversial streamer Adin Ross is once again at the center of public scrutiny after revealing he recently lost two lucrative brand deals — fallout many are linking to his inflammatory remarks about rap stars Megan Thee Stallion and Doechii. During a livestream with DJ Akademiks on Wednesday (May 14), Ross expressed visible frustration over the lost opportunities, which he suggested were related to both recent controversies and broader public perception of him and fellow content creator DDG. 'I'm so mad. My PR was finally getting better,' Ross vented. 'I had two deals lined up — same with DDG — lost both of them,' he added, referencing DDG's own public issues following allegations of abuse involving singer Halle Bailey. Ross made it clear that, for him, the issue goes beyond financial loss. 'I'm mad as f**k, Ak. It's not even about the money. It's just 'cause I wanted to do it. That's the reality of how the world works,' he said. The timing of the deals' collapse coincides with widespread backlash Ross received after making a series of offensive comments on stream about two prominent women in Hip-Hop. Speaking about Megan Thee Stallion, who was shot by Tory Lanez in a 2020 incident that led to Lanez being sentenced to 10 years in prison, Ross appeared to cast doubt on her account. 'Show the bullet wound, bi**h. They lied on my man's name,' he said during a joint stream with fellow content creators ZIAS! and — remarks that were quickly condemned online. Ross also targeted Doechii, the rising rap star and 2024 GRAMMY Award winner, who has gained recognition for both her music and her unapologetically bold public persona. Referring to her behavior while preparing for the 2025 Met Gala, in which she demanded her team to retrieve 'more f**king umbrellas,' Ross launched a tirade against the artist. 'She's an entitled, unintelligent piece of sh*t,' he said of Doechii, before calling for fans to boycott her work altogether. 'Stop listening to her music.' He then criticized fellow artists who have collaborated with her, singling out Playboi Carti and The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) for clearing her appearance on a recent track. '[Playboi] Carti and Abel, why would you give her a feature on a remix? You shouldn't have cleared it,' Ross stated. While Ross did not name the companies behind the pulled deals, his recent outbursts appear to have seriously impacted his marketability, even as he continues to hold a sizable audience on platforms like Kick and YouTube. Whether the backlash will affect his long-term career remains to be seen, but for now, Ross' remarks have clearly cost him more than just online criticism — they've begun to cost him real money. Ye Confirms This Rising Rap Star Ghostwrote His New ‘Cuck' Album

Ye has confirmed that he didn't write any of the songs on his forthcoming album, crediting the rhymes to Dave Blunts, a relatively unknown artist he's seemingly taken under his creative wing. In a clip that surfaced online, Blunts revealed that he was the sole author of Ye's lyrics on Cuck, the 48-year-old's highly anticipated release. 'Every song on that album… I wrote that sh*t, me,' Blunts said of his work on the project. According to Blunts, the creation of the album was the sum of 'one man going between hurt, betrayal and pain and he's putting that sh*t down,' an account Ye himself has since confirmed. 'This is true,' the GRAMMY Award winning artist and producer wrote in a post on X. 'We would talk for hours, then he'd write three songs in a day,' Ye said of his time with Blunts, who he recently deemed as his current favorite rap artist in a previous social media post after being introduced to his music Originally titled WW3, Cuck has yet to receive a release date, but has already caused waves amongst Hip-Hop fans and beyond. Much of this buzz is off strength of a snippet of Ye's new song, 'Cousins,' in which he admits to having had an incestuous relationship with a male cousin during his prepubescent and teen years. 'Hanging with my cousin reading dirty magazines/ We seen some ni**as kiss and we ain't know what that sh*t mean/ Then we start reenacting everything that we had seen/ That's when I gave my cousin head,' the controversial hitmaker rhymes on the track, which surfaced earlier this week. Ye would later reveal that the inspiration behind the song was based on his real-life experience, writing, 'My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins dick till I was 14″ in an X post following the snippet's release. As for Cuck's release date, nothing is concrete, as has been the case with recent efforts by Ye, yet Blunts is under the belief the album will be unveiled in short order. 'It's coming soon. I know it's coming soon. And I know that it will drop, but I don't know when it is.' Drake Reportedly Backs Off On Key Allegations In UMG 'Not Like Us' Lawsuit

Drake is reportedly backing away from several key claims made against music conglomerate Universal Music Group in his ongoing lawsuit. This development could lead to a potential dismissal of the case. In a letter to the court filed on (Feb. 21), UMG lawyer Rollin A. Ransom wrote that Drake has informed him and his legal team that he will drop allegations he initially included in the lawsuit against the company. '[P]ursuant to separate correspondence, Plaintiff has agreed to withdraw certain key allegations in his complaint,' the filing reads. However, the exact claims the filing refers to are not specified. Universal now has until March 17 to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit entirely, which stems from Drake's belief that UMG conspired to boost the popularity and success of Kendrick Lamar's hit single, 'Not Like Us,' in an attempt to damage his brand. According to the lawsuit, UMG 'approved, published, and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of a rap track that falsely accuses Drake of being a pedophile and calls for violent retribution against him.' The rapper says this was done to negatively impact his leverage in potential renegotiations of his contract with UMG, whom the rapper has been signed under for the majority of his musical career. 'UMG anticipated that extending Drake's contract would be costly,' the original lawsuit reads. 'By devaluing Drake's music and brand, UMG would gain leverage to force Drake to sign a new deal on terms more favorable to UMG.' The hitmaker accused UMG of participating in 'unlawful' practices, such as paying for fake streams and radio airplay for 'Not Like Us.' Furthermore, he blamed the 'violence and vitriol' he claims to have been subjected to in the wake of 'Not Like Us' on Universal, as he says he was forced to pull his son, Adonis, out of elementary school, and move his mother out of Toronto due to 'safety concerns.' Released during his epic rap war with Kendrick Lamar, 'Not Like Us' has become one of the biggest and most critically acclaimed hits in recent memory. Topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks, the song became the second rap song in history to win a GRAMMY Award for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, one of many honors the track has received over the last several months. Drake recently returned to the top of the charts with Some Sexy Songs 4 U, his collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The longplayer debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, unseating Kendrick's own 2024 album, GNX, from the top position.
