Vijayawada MP lays stone for new roads, vows to solve traffic congestion in city
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Saturday said the coalition government is making vigorous efforts to transform Vijayawada into a global city, with roads, infrastructure, and other works progressing rapidly. The MP, along with Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao, participated in the Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu programme in the 4th division and laid the foundation stone for new roads. Sivanath said the city was developed during the TDP regime and continues to progress under the coalition government, with several flyovers, RoBs, and Metro projects under way. He said the government is committed to addressing traffic congestion and stormwater drainage issues. MLA Rammohan said Municipal Minister Ponguru Narayana sanctioned special funds on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's directions to improve the city's infrastructure. He added that Ballem Vari Street would be developed with Rs 30 crore, while Mahanadu roads would also be upgraded.

Utilise Central, State schemes to become entrepreneurs: Andhra MP to youth
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Friday urged the youth to utilise Central and State government initiatives to become entrepreneurs and announced that job melas will be held every three months in NTR district under the joint aegis of the Kesineni Foundation, AP Skill Development, and NTR Vikasa. He inaugurated a Mega Job Mela at PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, along with TDP Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao and NTR District Collector G Lakshmisha. Around 40 companies participated, offering opportunities to candidates with qualifications ranging from SSC, ITI to Btech and PG. Collector Lakshmisha encouraged youth to seize opportunities and build successful careers. He noted that the government is prioritising job creation and also conducting job fairs at the Collectorate.

Yatra to create awareness on parenthood begins
Vijayawada: East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao said here on Friday that awareness around fertility remains limited, especially in underserved regions where stigma and misconceptions persist. He was the chief guest at the 'Oasis Janani Yatra' organised by Oasis Fertility. The MLA said that it was good that the Oasis Janani Yatra was dedicated to bridge this gap by providing reliable medical guidance and support to those who need it most. By fostering open conversations and dispelling long-held myths, this campaign empowers couples to make informed decisions on their path to parenthood. Oasis Janani Yatra, a 30-day, 30-town journey across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, started from Vijayawada on Mother's Day on Friday. Dr Krishna Chaitanya M, Scientific Head and Clinical Embryologist of Oasis Fertility and Dr Venkata Sujatha Vellanki, Regional Medical Head and Fertility Specialist of Oasis Fertility, Dr Tripura, Dr Vellanki Sridevi, Dr Somalatha along with other dignitaries participated.

Vijayawada will become Gateway of Amaravati, says Andhra MP Kesineni
VIJAYAWADA: MP Kesineni Sivanath said that Vijayawada will be transformed into the Gateway of Amaravati. He, along with Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao, on Thursday, interacted with residents of the 9th division and assured them of solving their issues. Speaking on the occasion, Kesineni said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has extended his support for developing the city. 'Ever since the NDA government came into power, many developmental activities have been fast-paced. However, the previous YSRCP administration had halted all the works undertaken between 2014 and 2014,' the MP added. Rammohan accused former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of not releasing a single paise for the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation's (VMC) exchequer during his five-year tenure. He added that the TDP-led NDA government had sanctioned Rs 300 crore in a phased manner for Vijayawada's development. He revealed that the CM will sanction thousands of crores of rupees for the city's development. The MLA directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the intended Vijayawada development, and informed that the DPR is being prepared by IIT Madras. He also reiterated that there is no scarcity of funds for the city's growth.
