Galaxy Tab S11 leak suggests the Ultra is getting a major battery upgrade

Ryan Whitwam / Android Authority TL;DR The battery specifications for the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra have leaked. The base model may come with a typical capacity of 8,400mAh. The Ultra could have an advertised capacity of 11,700 or 12,000mAh. Samsung is currently working on the next additions to the Galaxy Tab line. Not much is currently known about the Galaxy Tab S11 series, other than it's expected to launch in the second half of the year, there may not be a Pro model, and AI will be a point of focus. But we're getting some new information that now reveals the battery specifications. According to GalaxyClub, Samsung is going with two tablets again for the Galaxy Tab this year. A Pro model won't be a part of this two-pronged approach, but a base model will. The report claims that the base model will feature a battery with a rated capacity of 8,160mAh, but the advertised capacity will likely be 8,400mAh. This would mean the battery capacity for the Tab S11 is the same as the Tab S9. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is said to have a rated capacity of 11,374mAh, which would be 500mAh more than the Tab S10 Ultra. As for the advertised capacity, the Tab S10 Ultra's battery comes in at 11,200mAh. As such, it's expected that the Tab S11's advertised capacity could end up being around 11,700mAh, or even 12,000mAh. This is a pretty big deal considering Samsung has not upgraded the Ultra model's battery since its debut with the Tab S8 series. So this would be the first time an Ultra has received a bigger battery. It's still unclear when Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab S11 series. The company does have an Unpacked event coming up soon for its foldables. However, it's possible that these tablets could end up missing this event. Got a tip? Talk to us! Samsung Galaxy A57 to launch with Exynos chipset

Successor to the Samsung Galaxy A56, which will most likely be named the Galaxy A57, has shown up in a new leak. We know, going by historical data, it's too early to talk about the Galaxy A57 right now, considering the A56 only launched recently, just a couple of months ago. Keeping that in mind, we're not expecting the A57 to launch any sooner than March 2026. However, that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from churning out some early details about the Galaxy A57 — particularly about the processor it could be powered to a report by GalaxyClub, the next-generation Samsung Galaxy A57 will reportedly be powered by the company's in-house Exynos 1680 SoC. This chipset, with model number S5E8865, is currently being tested internally and is codenamed Terra. Additionally, the chipset — based on AMD's architecture — is said to feature an Xclipse 550 GPU, which is claimed to be more powerful than the Xclipse 540 GPU found in the Exynos 1580 chip inside the Galaxy said, what kind of real-world performance upgrades we can expect remains to be seen. Right now, it's far too early to draw any conclusions about the Exynos 1680 chip — let alone the Galaxy A57. Apart from this one leak, there's no other credible information available about the phone. However, come next year, we could start hearing more about what the next A-series flagship from Samsung will For now, the focus remains on the Samsung Galaxy A56, which is currently the top offering in the Galaxy A series. Samsung Galaxy A57 Leak Hints at Exynos 1680 Chipset, Launch Likely in 2026

Just months after the debut of the Samsung Galaxy A56, the first signs of its successor, likely to be called the Samsung Galaxy A57, have emerged through a new leak. While it's still early days and a launch is not anticipated before March 2026, tech insiders have already begun speculating about what the next-generation A-series device might bring to the table. According to a recent report from GalaxyClub, the upcoming Galaxy A57 is expected to be powered by Samsung's in-house Exynos 1680 chipset. The chip, which reportedly carries the model number S5E8865 and is internally codenamed "Terra", is currently undergoing testing. Built on AMD's architecture, the Exynos 1680 is also said to include the Xclipse 550 GPU, which is tipped to deliver superior performance over the Xclipse 540 GPU found in the Exynos 1580 powering the current Galaxy A56. However, while these early specifications sound promising, it's still too early to gauge what kind of real-world performance improvements the Exynos 1680 might deliver. Beyond this initial leak, there's little confirmed information available about the Galaxy A57, and we'll likely have to wait until next year to hear more concrete details about Samsung's next A-series offering. For now, Samsung's attention remains firmly on its existing mid-range flagship, the Galaxy A56, which is currently the top-tier device in the Galaxy A series. Ever since Samsung retired the A7x line, the A5x series has taken centre stage in the brand's mid-range lineup. In India, the Galaxy A56 is priced starting at Rs 38,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Additional models include 8GB + 256GB for Rs 41,999 and 12GB + 256GB for Rs 44,999. The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,200 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode. Protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, the phone is equipped with an Exynos 1580 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and supports 45W fast wired charging. Camera-wise, it offers a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 12MP front shooter, available in Awesome Graphite and Awesome Olive colour options. As we await further updates on the Galaxy A57, Samsung fans can enjoy the A56's solid performance and premium features in the mid-range segment.

First details about one of Samsung's upcoming mid-tier phones drops one year earlier

Samsung's Galaxy A series outperforms the company's Galaxy S series by a lot every year. Although a big chunk of the South Korean giant's profits is based on the sale of its flagships, the actual number of Galaxy A units sold is bigger than Galaxy S makes perfect sense since the Galaxy A series phones are cheaper, and the offering is much larger. The price range is also wider, which means the Galaxy A series caters to more categories of customers than Samsung's Galaxy S flagship typically introduces new Galaxy A series phones in the first quarter of the year, but we don't get any details about the devices until later into the year. This time around it appears that the folks at GalaxyClub have been able to obtain the first details about a phone that's supposed to be launched on the market in March 2026, the Galaxy A57. According to sources familiar with Samsung's plans, the Galaxy A57 will bring several upgrades over the current Galaxy A56. One of the upgrades is a better processor, an in-house developed Exynos 1680 chipset. Even so, we expect performance to increase, even if marginally. We'll probably have the first benchmarks of the Exynos 1680 closer to the chipset's not as interesting is the fact that the chipset is known internally as Terra. Also, Exynos 1680 is supposedly using an XClipse 550 GPU (graphics processing unit), which is based on AMD's architecture. In comparison, the Exynos 1580 chipset, which powers the Galaxy A56, uses an XClipse 560 as mentioned earlier, these details don't say anything about performance, they just imply that we should expect some improvements when it comes to performance. Since the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A55 have been introduced in March, it's probably safe to say that the Galaxy A57 will also be announced in March 2026. That means that we have quite a few months to complete all the missing pieces of the puzzle and unravel all the upgrades the Galaxy A57 plans to bring over the Galaxy A56 .

Samsung Galaxy S26 camera rumored to stick at 50MP — but there could be a brand new sensor instead

It's going to be several months before the Samsung Galaxy S26 arrives, but we're already starting to hear rumors about what the phone could have to offer. A new leak claims that the phone will get an upgraded camera, but those of you hoping for any meaningful bump in resolution are going to be rather disappointed. According to a report from GalaxyClub, the entry-level Galaxy S26 will retain a 50MP main camera — the same resolution we've had since the Galaxy S22. But resolution doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, certainly not compared to the upgraded sensor apparently coming to the phone. The report claims that the S26 will finally ditch the ISOCELL S5KGN3 sensor in favor of a newer ISOCELL GN sensor. It's unclear which sensor may come to the phone, and it's speculated that it might even be one that hasn't been officially announced yet. While often ignored, the sensor can make a great many differences to the overall photo quality. A larger sensor captures more light, for example, which can boost low-light performance among other things. Presumably, we'll find out more after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 this summer, as the rumor mill pivots towards next year's flagship release. One of the biggest upgrades we've heard about for the Galaxy S26 series comes from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Word is that the phone will offer a 200MP telephoto lens, with 5x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the secondary telephoto shooter is said to be jumping to 50MP with 3.5x optical magnification. To top it off, the main camera may feature a ridiculous 324 megapixel resolution sensor. You thought 200MP was a lot? Well, this one is more than 50% bigger, and if you ask me, that might be rather excessive for a smartphone. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. There's also speculation that Samsung may scrap the Galaxy S26 Plus and release the skinny Galaxy S26 Edge in its place. Considering how close the S25 Plus's hardware is to the S25 Ultra, that would certainly help the third Galaxy phone stand out from its compatriots. Let's just hope that the rumors that Samsung is switching back to Exynos chips don't come to fruition. It's been rather nice having Snapdragon performance on the flagship around the world, rather than just the U.S.
