American sportswear brand Gant has unveiled a new retail concept at its reopened Regent Street store in London. The 588 square metre flagship store 'represents a key milestone in the brand's global retail investments in the UK and worldwide', a press release stated. The retail space intends to reflect a 'refined version' of Gant's retail concept, incorporating elements of its 'heritage and future vision' over its two floors. A colour palette of browns and matte greens sit alongside walnut and honey-stained oak fixtures, reminiscent of a library, while contemporary and classic pieces further expand on the concept. In a release, Gant's EVP global commercial, brand and product, Fredrik Malm, said: 'We're thrilled to reopen our Regent Street flagship store. Thoughtfully designed and deeply rooted in our heritage, every element of the space reflects the brand's continued evolution and future vision. Gant has reopened its Regent Street, London, flagship store, 'marking an exciting new chapter" for the American-turned-Swedish sportswear brand. The refurbishment of the 6,300 sq m space 'represents a key milestone in the brand's global retail investments in the UK and worldwide', the company said. And according to its CEO Patrik Söderström, the flagship reopening 'kicks off a global initiative to elevate our retail experience.' Set over two floors featuring both menswear and womenswear, it showcases a 'refined version of the brand's cutting-edge new retail concept' and reflects the brand's 'rich heritage and future vision'. A 'masterpiece of design', it serves as 'both a brand statement and a commercial powerhouse' in a layout that integrates a range of elevated features, including a dedicated space for premium clientele, 'creating an exclusive environment for personalised service'. The store also includes standalone areas for both shoes and shirts, the latter with a key presentation on the entrance floor, 'cementing Gant's legacy as a shirtmaker since 1949'. The store's interior details reflect a sophisticated colour palette of earthy brown and matte green tones, complemented by brass accents. Bond set for man accused of attacking woman with baby
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man faced a judge Thursday after he was arrested for allegedly trying to strangle a woman while she was holding her infant son. Tranell Gant, 23, is now facing two serious charges, one of which is child abuse and or neglect. Gant is accused of punching and trying to choke a Memphis mother as she was sitting in her car on McMillan Street in South Memphis, while she held her 6-month-old son in her lap. The infant was not injured. Police said the incident was captured on a Facebook Live. MPD: Man charged after Facebook Live attack on woman with baby 'It's crazy for a male to be putting his hands on a female anyhow,' said neighborhood resident Johnvis Davis. 'Especially with a child in their hand, and infant baby, that's ridiculous.' Bond was set Thursday at $10,000. Gant told the judge he could pay the bond.
