April 30: Windy, Dusty & Hot Weather Expected to Prevail in Egypt
Rana Atef On Wednesday, the General Authority for Meteorology expects hot weather during the day in Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. It added that moderate weather would prevail on the northern coasts. Extremely hot weather is expected in southern Upper Egypt. The weather will be moderate at night and early in the morning across most areas. The meteorological authority also predicts that the country will be affected by a the seasonal spring dusty winds known as (Khamaseen low-pressure) which will be accompanied by strong winds with speeds ranging from 40 to 60 km/h, causing dust and sand storms across most areas. Gusts of wind reaching speeds of 70 to 80 km/h may occur, leading to a significant reduction in horizontal visibility to less than 1,000 meters and potentially reaching storm hights in areas of northern Upper Egypt, southern and eastern Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, the Gulf of Suez, and Sinai. This low-pressure will also bring moderate to heavy rain, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in some areas of the Matrouh Governorate. The rain may extend lightly or moderately with occasional thunderstorms to the northern coasts and the Nile Delta, and could also be light and thundery at times in Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, the Canal Cities, and Sinai. Additionally, the authority expects rough sea conditions in the Gulf of Suez, with wind speeds ranging from 50 to 60 km/h and wave heights of 2 to 3 meters. The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 33°C in Cairo, 22°C in Alexandria, 21°C in Marsa Matruh, 36°C in Sohag, 37°C in Qena, and 40°C in Aswan. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 ..
