Over 100,000 good conduct electronic certificates issued
In a milestone reflecting the success of Bahrain's digital transformation efforts, the Criminal Information Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has announced that it has issued more than 100,000 Good Conduct Certificates electronically since the service was launched on 19 August 2020. The initiative was implemented in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority and stands as a strong indicator of user confidence and the efficiency of the electronic system. The Director of the Criminal Information, Col. Nayef Al Majed, explained that this achievement is part of the Directorate's strategy to provide high-quality and efficient services to clients inside and outside Bahrain by shifting from paper-based procedures to fully integrated electronic services. He noted that the project embodies the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and comes in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which aim to modernise government operations, advance digital transformation, support environmental sustainability, and deliver smart services that enhance customer satisfaction. He further emphasised that this digital transformation is a direct result of the guidance of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology. He pointed out HE the Interior Minister's affirmation of the importance of utilising technology to enhance security and service performance in support of Bahrain's national digital transformation goals. This approach has been met with strong user engagement, driven by the convenience, speed, and accuracy the service offers.

Five drug dealers arrested
The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science arrested five individuals of different nationalities, aged 28 to 51, for drug dealing and planting narcotics in a house that is equipped for such purpose. The market value of the confiscated narcotics is over BD1 million.

Bahraini Man Arrested For Murder Of 57-Year-Old In Shakhura
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has referred a 47- year-old Bahraini man to the Public Prosecution in connection with the murder of a 57-year- old citizen in the Shakhura area. According to the directorate, security teams were swiftly deployed to the scene after receiving a report of the incident. Upon arrival, authorities conducted a thorough examination of the crime scene, gathering physical evidence and launching an immediate search and investigation. These efforts led to the prompt identification and arrest of the suspect, who was found in possession of the murder weapon. Investigations revealed that the crime was the result of longstanding personal disputes between the suspect and the victim. On the morning of the incident, the suspect confronted the victim outside his home, stabbing him multiple times in a violent attack. The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science confirmed that all necessary legal steps have been completed, and the case has now been referred to the Public Prosecution for further proceedings.
