Gotta wear 'em all! Uniqlo launches new Pokémon TCG-themed clothing line
Uniqlo is no stranger to video game-themed clothing lineups, and its latest launch is no except. The latest products all hail from the Pokémon Trading Card Game and depict your favorite cards, attacks, and more. The designs are available as both tee shirts and sweatshirts (perfect for that upcoming fall weather), but fair warning: lineups like this tend to rotate quickly, so if you see something you have your eye on, don't wait too long to snatch it up. Fan-favorite designs like Pikachu, Omanyte, Gengar, and Snorlax are all available. Adult prices start at roughly $20 and go up to $40 for sweatshirts. Sizes range from extra small up to XXL, although some designs only extend to a large. The full range of shirts is available to browse on Uniqlo's website. Recommended Videos There's also a lineup for kids, too, if you want to make sure your whole family matches the look. All of the clothing items are unisex. The Pikachu design (shown above) is a particular favorite; not only does it have a miniaturized Pokédex entry for your favorite electric mouse, but it also has multiple different card designs shown within the silhouette. Uniqlo has featured Pokémon designs before, but this is the first time we've seen Pokémon TCG Pocket designs included in the mix. The popular mobile trading card game has dominated the charts since its launch late last year and features some of the most unique card art we've ever seen. Seriously, Pokémon: I would pay money for prints. Previously, Uniqlo has launched Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy, and Animal Crossing clothing lines. Most of those aren't available any longer, but you can still get your hands on its Studio Ghibli lineup if you're a Totoro fan. The Pokémon designs are available now, but it isn't clear how long they'll remain on sale.

Guinness World Records: Pokémon fan's largest collection of Gengars
Lots of us enjoy collecting things that we love or big your collection is, it'd need to be pretty big to rival that of Tsang Cheuk 32-year-old from Hong Kong has collected 1,200 pieces of unique Gengar memorabilia over the past 22 his adoration of the purple Pokémon has now earned him a Guinness World Record title. "I was eight when I first saw Gengar. Among a batch of Pokémon figures my mom bought, there was this translucent, deep purple one that just grabbed me," Tsang explained in an interview with Guinness World Records."Later, playing Pokémon games, I found Gengar wasn't just strong - it was versatile, with that sly, adorable grin. Right then, I knew this little guy was my destined buddy."Tsang decided to start collecting all kind of memorabilia, including toys, cards, clothing and rule was that the memorabilia had to be official or licensed to Pokémon. Collecting this much official Pokémon memorabilia can be expensive, so Tsang needed to think of ways to get his hands on Gengar goods more asked friends to buy him memorabilia directly in Japan, rather than buying it himself at home in Hong Kong, where it was more says he also enjoyed negotiating with people directly."I love the thrill and connection of trading. That's something cash can't buy," he told Guinness World Records. In order to get his Guinness World Record title, Tsang had to picture and catalogue every single piece of Gengar memorabilia."Some Gengars look nearly identical, so I had to write descriptions clear enough for someone to pick out the exact piece just by reading," he Tsang is pleased with his achievement, he says he's not finished collecting quite yet."Collecting toys isn't just owning stuff. Photo courtesy of Guinness World Records July 21 (UPI) -- A Hong Kong man's 22-year devotion to his favorite Pokémon earned him a Guinness World Records title for the largest collection of Gengar memorabilia. Tsang Cheuk Tip, 32, said his love for Gengar started when he was only 8 years old and was introduced to Pokémon. "Among a batch of Pokémon figures my mom bought, there was this translucent, deep purple one that just grabbed me," Tip told Guinness World Records. "Later, playing Pokémon games, I found Gengar wasn't just strong -- it was versatile, with that sly, adorable grin. Right then, I knew this little guy was my destined buddy." Tip started collecting officially licensed Gengar memorabilia, including cards, clothing items, plush toys, tableware and stationary. Tip said cataloging his items for his application to hold the record for the largest collection of Gengar memorabilia was an exhaustive process. "Some Gengars look nearly identical, so I had to write descriptions clear enough for someone to pick out the exact piece just by reading," he said. Tip said he is proud to be able to say he now holds the record. "I didn't go for the record to be famous. I just want people to think of me when they see Gengar," he said. "Where I am, Gengar's there too."

Uniqlo Celebrates the Art of 'Pokémon TCG' With New Collction
Summary Uniqlohas debuted its newestPokémoncollection, this time celebrating the belovedTrading Card Game. The latest collaboration highlights the art of theTCG, starting with a Pikachu collage T-shirt made up of theTCGillustrations. Other T-shirts in capsule celebrate the evolutions of the Mega Symphonia Mega Gardevoir, Slowpoke, Magikarp and Omanyte. Also joining the apparel selection are crewneck sweatshirts of Snorlax doing the Lazy Press, Gengar, Mewtwo and Unown. Uniqlo releasing first-ever Pokémon T-shirts inspired by Trading Card Game artwork【Photos】
Collaboration features big Pokémon's stars and lesser-known species too. Uniqlo has announced that they've got a new line of Pokémon T-shirts on the way, and while the casual clothing chain and multimedia entertainment franchise have teamed up a few times before, there's something unique about this collaboration. That's because while previous designs have taken their inspiration from how the Pocket Monsters look in the franchise's anime and video games, this new Uniqlo line will be the first one ever based on the art of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Starting things off is Pikachu, who, as you can probably guess, has been the subject of a whole lot of Pokémon cards created by different illustrators. The shirt can be considered a greatest-hits compilation, with several dozen cards arranged in the shape of the Pokémon franchise mascot himself. The rest of the line narrows things down to a single image per species, each coming from a specific card, such as the Mega Symphonia Mega Gardevoir ex-version of Gardevoir. ▼ Hmm…would this shirt fit on that life-size Gardevoir plushie? High-profile fan favorites Slowpoke and Magikarp also show up, the former based on the Fossil-expansion artwork… …and the latter on the Paldea Evolved card. ▼ Because if you're only ever going to do one thing, you'd better be expert-level at doing it. It's not all ultra-famous faces, though, as the new line features a shirt for Omanyte, depicting the Rock/Water-type as it appears in the 151 expansion. ▼ The white text makes it a little hard to read, but the shirt even includes a helpful explanation of how to create an Omanyte using the Helix Fossil. Joining the five T-shirts are four Pokémon Trading Card Game sweatshirts. The SVP Black Star Promo Snorlax one is great for those looking to match the cozy garment with a Pokémon that's as skilled at relaxing as Magikarp is at splashing. ▼ Snorlax is even doing the Lazy Press. The next one is a bit of a trivia challenge, at least when viewed from the front, which informs you that its star 'Evolves from No. 0093…' …meaning that it's Gengar. This version of Gengar, the Genetic Apex Gengar ex, actually hails from Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a.k.a. Pokémon Pocket, the digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game which launched last fall. That's also the case for the the Genetic Apex Mewtwo ex-card sweatshirt. And finally, we come to another Pokémon who, like Omanyte, doesn't always get much time in the spotlight: Unown, in Silver Tempest VSTAR form. As a cool little hat tip/deck tap to card gamers, the designs all feature little Pokémon cards near the hem. The T-shirts are priced at 1,500 yen (US$10.35) and the sweatshirts at 2,990 yen, both offered in adult men's cuts. They're scheduled to go on sale in mid-August and will be available through the Uniqlo online store here.
